House republicans say this is an unjust attempted coup against their leader by democrats who fear losing to him in 2020. Not only did every single republican reject this soviet style impeachment process, but we were even joined by democrats who couldnt stand it anymore. If you look at where we are right now, were at an important point in history. Clearly there are people that we serve with that dont like the results of the 2016 election. More than 70 people were killed. The train was travelling from karachi to rawalpindi. You may find some of farhat javeds report distressing. The flames ripped through three crowded carriages, trapping dozens of passengers who were on their way to a religious gathering. Many of the injured were brought to this hospital in bahawalpur. Some on the train were sleeping when it caught fire. Rubinas husband pushed her out of the window to save her life, but she is critically injured. Translation smoke filled up everywhere, and it was hard to breathe. I pushed my wife out of the train and then tried to jump, but people fell on me. Dozens have suffered burn injuries, and dozens were killed. These are some of the passengers whojumped off the running train when it was on fire. They are traumatised for horrific scenes they have witnessed, but they are more worried about their loved ones who are still missing. Train accidents are common in pakistan, but this one is said to be one of the worst in the last two decades. The cause of the fire is unclear. Officials blamed a group of passengers who were cooking breakfast on a gas cylinder when it exploded. But some who were there dispute this and blame an electrical fault. Fires over the past week have led to Mass Evacuations and power cuts and a state wide emergency has been declared. But firefighters in Northern California believe they have now turned a corner in battling the kincade fire. A day after north korea is reported to have tested two short range missiles, pyongyang says it has also successfully conducted a test of super large multiple rocket launchers. The Korean News Agency said the rocket launchers were able to totally destroy a group target. The tests come as talks between north korea and the us have ground to a halt. An investigation by bbc news arabic has found women being put up for sale online in kuwait as Domestic Workers. A un expert has described it as an illegal online slave market. The investigation found that instagram which is owned by facebook along with apps available on google and apple are being used to trade people without their knowledge or consent. One app user even offered to sell a 16 Year Old Girl to the bbcs undercover team. Jess kelly reports. In the gulf, women employed as Domestic Workers are being sold online via apps approved and provided by google and apple. Bbc news arabic went undercover in kuwait to expose this shocking and disturbing online trade. Its a trade made possible by Silicon Valley tech giants. If google, apple, facebook or any other company is promoting apps like these, hosting apps like these, they are promoting an online slave market. The bbc team spoke to 57 users of an app called asale. Its available on google play and the apple app store. Domestic workers are sold on asale alongside cars and tvs. The team found violations of international and domestic laws on modern slavery and human trafficking. Most women have no idea theyre being advertised for sale online. One app user tried to sell a child to our team. And another, a policeman, encouraged them to break kuwaiti laws. In the gulf, a Domestic Workers visa is tied to their sponsor. They cannot quit theirjob or leave the country without their sponsors permission. Thats the problem with that kind of system, is that the employer thinking that they own already worker but it doesnt, it shouldnt be the situation. Kuwait has some of the strongest laws to protect Domestic Workers in the region. But apps like 4sale, instagram and in saudi, haraj, allow employers to sell the sponsorship of these workers for a profit. No legal action has been taken against the policeman or the women who tried to sell us a child. They both declined the bbcs request for comment. Asale has now removed its Domestic Workers section. They gave us the following reply kuwaits government didnt comment further. Facebook, which owns instagram, told us but we found hundreds of posts on instagram using similar hashtags being used to sell Domestic Workers. Apps in other countries are still offering Domestic Workers for sale. Haraj, the commodity app used in saudi arabia, did not provide us with a statement. Both google and apple told the bbc that this type of behaviour has no place on their Application Stores and that they are working with App Developers to better prevent illegal activity like this on their platforms. Jess kelly, bbc news. Scientists believe measles is even more dangerous than earlier thought because it can make children vulnerable to other infections. This year the us saw the worst Measles Outbreak in decades and doctors pushed for children to be vaccinated. Our medical correspondent fergus walsh reports. The measles virus is highly contagious. Last year there were around 1,000 cases of the respiratory infection in the uk and it can cause serious complications, even death. Measles can be prevented by two doses of the mmr vaccine but uptake has fallen. Now researchers have shown how measles can put people at risk of other diseases. In two studies, more than 100 dutch children who had not been vaccinated had their blood analysed before and after a Measles Outbreak. Before they caught measles the children had lots of immune memory cells which were primed to defend them against diseases theyd previously encountered, but the measles virus wiped out these memory cells. And the virus also destroyed naive immune cells which act as sentries, patrolling against pathogens so it made them less able to respond to new infections as well. Much of the research was carried out at the Welcome Sanger Institute near cambridge where scientists sequenced the genetic code of the immune cells to reveal how the measles virus attacks them. Measles virus removed immune memory cells had created in response to other pathogens they had seen before and it also returned their immune system back to a baby like state where theyre no longer protected to pathogens they were exposed to before. But also they had limited ability to respond to new pathogens. After measles infection, some children show signs of immune suppression for up to five years. This research underlines the importance of measles vaccination, notjust to protect against that virus but against other Infectious Diseases as well. These women are all recovering drug addicts. The United Nations says addiction among afghan women is on the rise and is particularly high in rural areas, where the opium poppy is grown. Women are especially vulnerable in this patriarchal society, often unable to seek help. This project wants to change that. Now they are getting addicted. The women learn business skills, how to market and sell what they have made, and manage their finances. They are happy that they are in by themselves. Malta was a strategically important base for british submarines targeting german and italian shipping in the mediterranean. Hms urge was part of the 10th submarine flotilla, known as the fighting 10th, a vital part of the allied war effort. On 27 april 1942 it left malta, ordered to set sail for the egyptian port of alexandria. But, just after leaving valletta, it is believed to have struck a mine. The submarine and its crew went down. Bands of rain, these frontal systems, spiralling around the low. But with that low, were going to develop a south westerly flow across the uk, so at least for a time, it is going to feel milder. A milder start to the day on friday, but with that, we will have outbreaks of rain drifting into eastern england, starting to push northwards across scotland. Then a slice of drier and potentially brighter weather before another band of rain pushes into northern ireland, wales and the south west through the afternoon. It will be breezy, but not especially windy just yet. Top temperatures of 9 16 degrees. Now, during friday evening, the bands of rain will continue to drift north eastwards. Some dry interludes, but the winds will become an increasing feature across the north and also down towards the south and the south west. Those winds turning really strong and gusty as we get into the first part of saturday morning. Now, our area of low pressure as we get into saturday will be deepening. Uncertainty about its exact shape and exact position, but it looks like therell be a swathe of really strong winds potentially on the southern flank of the low, where you see those white lines, all of those isobars squashing together. So it looks most likely that well see strong wind blowing across the southern half of england and parts of wales, also a slice of windy weather across northern scotland, and well see bands of wet weather spiralling around. There will equally be some drier and brighter interludes, and in the centre of our area of low pressure, some lighter winds. But around the edges, if you like, to the north and particularly the south, gusty conditions and we could see wind gusts reaching 70 mph or more close to the south coast of england. So some very stormy conditions are possible worth bearing in mind if you do have plans for saturday. Temperatures between 10 12 degrees. Now, as we move out of saturday into sunday, low pressure still with us. But not quite as many white lines, not as many isobars by this stage, so the winds will be a little lighter.
