Is not right somewhere. For the first time, Cystic Fibrosis patients in england will have access to a life extending drug on the nhs after a deal is reached with the Pharmaceutical Company. A british man who fought with Kurdish Militia against the Islamic State group has been convicted of a terrorism offence following a retrial. Good evening, and welcome to the bbc news at 8pm. The Prime Minister has called on mps to allow an early general election on thursday, 12 december. Boris johnson says if they agree to an election, he will give mps more time to debate his brexit bill. But opposition parties will have to agree to an election if its to go ahead, the Prime Minister does not have the power to call one. It comes as the eu is discussing the length of a likely brexit extension. Heres our political editor, laura kuenssberg. In editor, laura kuenssberg. The last few minutes, je corbyn in the last few minutes, Jeremy Corbyn said take no deal off the table, and we will absently support a general election. That is his condition. Absolutely support. Heres our political editor, laura kuenssberg. Is there any clear way out of the storm . Downing street wants a route to a general election. After weeks of negotiation with brussels, number ten did strike a deal, but mps rejected the Prime Ministers plan to force it through at top speed, so now he wants to force them to go to the country. The way to get brexit done is, i think, to be reasonable with parliament and say, if they genuinely want more time to study this excellent deal, they can have it, but they have to agree to a general election on 12 december, and thats the way forward. Because this parliament has been going on for a long time without a majority. Its refusing to deliver brexit. Its impossible to deliver legislation. Its time, frankly, that the opposition summoned up the nerve to submit themselves to the judgment of our collective boss, which is the people of the uk. Youre essentially trying to blackmail parliament with the threat of an election in order to ram through your bill. This is the biggest thing, and im sure you would say this, that this country has done for decades and decades and decades. You could just say, fine, lets have as long as it takes to get through this line by line in parliament. Wouldnt that be the responsible thing to do . Weve had three and a half years. Not looking at this bill. Most of this bill is of course very familiar to parliamentarians. In a letter toJeremy Corbyn, the Prime Minister says if the eu grants an extension to the end of november he would try to pass the brexit bill through parliament again, but if there is a delay to the end of january, there will be a vote next week to try to force a 12 december election. If labour commits to that election, the Prime Minister says he will try to get the bill through beforehand. If mps do not agree to your demand for an election, what will you do . To be absolutely clear, we would campaign day after day after day for the people of this country to be released from subjection to a parliament that has outlived its usefulness, thats fulfilled its function, that is refusing to get brexit done. What makes you think the opposition will give you your way this time . They could just keep you hostage. They could, but i think it would be absolutely morally incredible if they were to do so. After all, this labour party and Jeremy Corbyn have called repeatedly and endlessly for a general election. Reporter does everybody in cabinet back an election, ms truss . Even some of his cabinet, though, are not convinced this is a good idea. Well get this bill over the line. Obviously there are different views but we should make sure we try to get everyone on board and get things through. And its not down to borisjohnson. Its for labour and the opposition parties to decide if they want to agree to an election or not. He does not have a majority. They could leave him dangling. Of course well support a general election but i would be quite sad. Before christmas . Id be quite sad, honestly, if having been offered a compromise, a pragmatic compromise, that it would be viewed quite unreasonably for the Prime Minister to not put his bill through parliament. But the smaller parties are tempted if brussels agrees a delay. The key thing for us, is that if we are in an election moment, that election day comes before any exit day that is scheduled for brexit. We would want to have it, were ready for a general election. I think the country needs a general election and this Parliament Needs a reshuffle in order to progress the whole brexit farrago. Boris johnson, though, may find himself trapped in downing street. This is the third time number ten has tried to call a general election. Lucky for who this time . Lets speak to our political correspondent, helen catt, whos in westminster now. Sojeremy so Jeremy Corbyn soJeremy Corbyn has been speaking about this in the last few minutes. What has he had to say, any chance that the labour party would support the Prime Ministers pushed for an election on 12 december . They are crucial, as you heard laura explained there. Boris johnson cannot just call and election. Explained there. Boris johnson cannotjust call and election. He has to pass a vote in parliament, and two thirds of mps must agree to back one. So getting labour on site is really important, if Boris Johnson is going to get his election. So what labour and Jeremy Corbyn has said this evening is what we have heard from them a lot recently, this idea that it wants no deal taken off the table, and we absolutely support a general election. He says that they will then decide tomorrow, the eu will decide whether there is an extension, then labour can decide. And so it is a case of waiting longer to see if labour will back this or not. A similar story we were hearing from the lib dems earlier, joe swenson suggesting they would wait to see what happens with the eus extension decision. In the meantime, the government saying that the budget for early november is off because of this perspective general election that they want to happen just before christmas . Yes, as you said, the budget was scheduled for six november. But if there is an election on 12 december, than six november is the day parliament would need to be dissolved in order to give that five week election campaign. But it looks like if they are pulling this, even if they dont know if they will get it, is this another way of a government going on strike if they dont get what they want . You heard borisjohnson saying that they were coming in and day after day after day to get a election through. Thank you indeed. And this has been the response from the labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, this evening. Take no deal off the table and we absolutely support an election. Ive been calling for an election ever since the last one because this country needs one in order to deal with all the social injustice issues. But no deal must be taken off the table. To be clear, if there isa off the table. To be clear, if there is a vote on monday on 12 decembers to her election, will you tell mps to her election, will you tell mps to do . Tomorrow the eu will decide whether there is an Extension Granted or not. That extension will obviously encompass whether there is no deal or not. Lets find out tomorrow. So it could be you back an election on monday for 12 december . The principle is take no deal off the table, then we can decide. What is taking no deal off the table actually mean . Presuming there is an extension, it seems very likely that you will give that if there is an election and you win it, you dont wa nt election and you win it, you dont want a no deal brexit, borisjohnson wont go for and no deal, at one point is no deal off the table . No deal is a threat borisjohnson has been using all along, and it is included in his legislation before parliament. The legislation that hes put forward. I want us not to crush out of the eu with all the damage it would do to jobs all across country. Jeremy corbyn with his reaction to that call from Boris Johnson for an election on 12 december. We will be getting reaction from the conservative mp and prominent brexiteer market france while in the next few minutes from westminster. Mark francois. Police say the 39 people eight of them women who were found dead in a refrigerated lorry in essex were all chinese nationals. The container had been delivered from belgium at the port of purfleet overnight and was collected by a lorry whose driver was from Northern Ireland. He is being questioned by detectives on suspicion of murder. Officers in Northern Ireland have raided three houses and the National Crime agency says it is trying to identify whether organised Crime Networks were involved. Essex police say the case is the largest Murder Investigation in its history. Ed thomas reports from essex. Flowers for men and women theyve never met. Not far from where all 39 chinese nationals were found, a message from people here in grays remembering the lives so cruelly taken. Their desperation shows this society we live in is not right somewhere. Just think of the people who were in that van, that lorry, trying to find a new life, and not succeeding, unfortunately. The lorry was taken away yesterday. This evening, police are preparing to remove the bodies of the 31 men and eight women from the trailer. The start of trying to find out who they are and how they died. There is now a Major International investigation. We know that belgian Authorities Say the container arrived into the port of zeebrugge at about 2 30pm on tuesday afternoon. It left there later that afternoon, heading across the channel, arriving at purfleet in essex. At 1 05am yesterday morning the trailer was collected by a lorry. Around half an hour later and a couple of miles away, ambulance staff discovered the bodies of 39 adults inside the container. Vic makes the same journey to the port of purfleet. These are the checks he does every day. Obviously if anything was in there, you would see it straightaway. Ive seen peoplejumping out of trailers, jumping out of containers, running around. What are the feelings among drivers . Everyones terrified that theyre going to find someone in their vehicles. Or worse. In 2016, the National Crime agency warned that smuggling gangs were moving from major hubs like dover to smaller ports like purfleet. They know theyll only be caught if they get out of the trailers. This man worked at the port at the time of the nca report. He didnt want to show his face. It happened daily. What was the largest number of people . The largest one i saw was a group of vietnamese, about 30 32 of them, crammed into a little 10x12 room. You become used it, as horrible as that sounds. And the security at purfleet . Probably four people there overnight. Two in the car parks, two in the actual port. There might have been more but i never saw them. Nowhere near enough. Nearly 20 years ago, 58 chinese immigrants were found suffocated in a lorry in dover. Sam moved to grays from china a0 years ago. He lives close to where the bodies were found this week. When i heard the news this morning that all the 39 people, the nationalities were chinese, isay, why, how, this has happened again . 19 years ago, and it happened again. Police are still questioning the lorry driver on suspicion of murder. Named locally in Northern Ireland as 25 year old mo robinson. Police say it will take them to the weekend to remove all the bodies, to preserve their dignity and find the answers they need. Ed thomas, bbc news, purfleet. Our correspondent simonjones gave this update from grays. Essex police have described in this Murder Investigation as the biggest ever undertaken by the force. Now the container arrived in the early hours of yesterday morning here at the docks at per fleet, driven just a short distance from here, only around five minutes before the grim discovery was made. Now the police are at pains to stress that their investigation it will not be quit and certainly not be easy. All they have to do is remove the bodies from the back of the container, that is happening away from the media spotlight and the docks in tilbury. The bodies will then be transported to hospital where they can undergo postmortem investigations. It is only once those in examinations have been completed by the coroner that police can really begin the process of trying to establish who these people exactly where. And thats not the only question they need to a nswer the only question they need to answer they need to try and find out where exactly they got on this container. Was it over in belgium in zeebrugge, where the container arrived on tuesday afternoon . Or was it before that . How long were they actually inside that container . So for that reason, this will be an International Investigation and will require a lot of cooperation between britain and the authorities in belgium, and also now the chinese authorities. The embassy from china here in london said that here in hearing the news of this was very, very distressing, as you can imagine. Now during the course of the day, we know the home secretary has met the officer leading the investigation here in essex. She described the deaths as horrific, and police are also being given more time to question the lorry driver from Northern Ireland who has been arrested on inspection of murder. As youve been hearing, the trailer arrived in purfleet on the river thames from zeebrugge in belgium, from where our correspondent Anna Holligan sent us this. It is kind of business as usual, at least on the surface here in zeebrugge today. About 4000 containers are travelling from here in belgium over to the uk every single day. And its also a hotspot for people smugglers, as we know, and as the authorities have known for at least 2016. So much so that the uk has a permanent presence here, two borderforce teams. And we know that this is where they came from, so the harbourmaster has been given a bit more detail about the types of security they have in place here. So loris coming into this port are filmed and the drivers are identified. And then they carry out c02 sensor scans on the loris in containers that have canvas tops, but not on those that are sealed u nless but not on those that are sealed unless there is any sign that the seal has been tampered with. And of course we know these 39 people were inside a sealed, refrigerated container which is why they couldnt escape by themselves. So that is one of the things that theyre looking at here. But this whole issue of the people smuggling from belgium, moving up potentially from calais, is something that the poor authorities are conscious of, and also the local mayor. Hes been speaking to the bbc, saying they have on average 50 migrants picked up have on average 50 migrants picked up here every single month trying to get across to the uk. He speculated that a recent rise was down to brexit and people seeing this as their last chance before the border gets eve n their last chance before the border gets even tight at this seaboard between the european continent and the british mainland. In fact, early this morning, Police Detained eight migrants who were trying to climb a fence into a compound of a Trucking Company here in zeebrugge. So the fa ct company here in zeebrugge. So the fact that it happened, that they tried to get across from belgium isnt surprising. But possibly what isnt surprising. But possibly what is is their nationality. The fact that these 39 people were chinese nationals, and we were speaking to one migration expert who said it could be that this is possibly the tip ofan could be that this is possibly the tip of an iceberg that we didnt even know existed. So that its one of the things the authorities that prosecutors here in belgium are focusing on. We are joined via webcam by Tamara Barnett from the Human Trafficking foundation, who advise on policy in this area. Thanks for being with us. We now know that these 39 victims were chinese nationals. What are your thoughts about that, and how many people from china it is impossible to say, but what is a scale this problem in terms of people trafficking from china . So no one really knows. I remember a report wrote years ago when i was at city hall, one of the people we spoke to who worked in this area, they estimated that about 50 of Chinese Workers in the uk may have come here illegally. So i think the numbers are possibly huge, we know that there is a huge amount of poverty in china, and people take Desperate Measures to improve their lives. And actually, the last, most horrific case like this back in the year 2000 also involved chinese migrants, some 58 died in dover, didnt they . So this is not the first time theyve been the victims . Unfortunately not. U nfortu nately been the victims . Unfortunately not. Unfortunately one cannot even be sure this wont happen again. As we said, people do know the risks often when they take these perilous journeys to the uk. But they come from such poverty and challenge that for them, it is worth the risk. Is it your sense that this problem of Human Trafficking is getting worse . I dont believe it is. Obviously globalisation means that people are more aware of different wealth levels across the world. But actually, i think these kinds of things, human smuggling has been happening for hundreds, possibly thousands of years. Different levels of wealth in the uk, as one of the wealthiest countries, i believe this is happening for years. We are now much more aware of Human Trafficking. So although we see a rise in the number of data, i think thatis rise in the number of data, i think that is largely due to more awareness rather than the fact that it is happening more. And what do you think the authorities could be doing that they are not doing now to stop this . There are no easy solutions to this, but we still feel very strongly that there must be more safe routes into the uk. A lot of these people are entering the country anyway, so it is about compromising and realising that people are coming here, how can we make safer routes to work for these people . And if they are coming to this country and are being exploited, we need safe routes to report it. If you report being a victim and you are not a uk citizen, you risk being deported, not like if you risk being deported, not like if you had requested asylum. But you could have fruits dashed safe routes and have people come through any route available . Yes, exactly. What we find is in the data around Human Trafficking, albanian nationals are one of the higher groups much higher than pollen. We think these reasons are it is easier for people to work in the uk pre brexit, sol think we provide safe routes to working, and we find people trying to choose those avenues, but there will always be people who come illegally, it is almost impossible to stop that completely. Thank you very much, tamara bennett. Taking a back to the political news breaking this evening. Boris johnson back to the political news breaking this evening. Borisjohnson was a general election on 12 december. Well, we can speak now to the conservative mp, mark francois, who is deputy chairman of the European Research group. He joins us live now from our westminster studio. 12 december, why does the government wa nt 12 december, why does the government wantan 12 december, why does the government want an election then . Very quickly, ifi want an election then . Very quickly, if i may have an on your previous item only quickly, the home secretary is a member of essex parliament, as am i, and we are both privileged to represent essex. My big brother was a copper who told me a number of times down the years how harrowing it was to be a police man. In clearly must be absently dreadful for those Essex Police Officers and other members of the Emergency Services who had to deal with this act of absolute human wickedness. As an essex mp, id like to express my full support for the chief constable and his officers and having to carry out an extremely difficult task, and also for the other members of the Emergency Services. Since you want to talk about that at the beginning, let mejust ask to talk about that at the beginning, let me just ask you on that issue, what more needs to be done there to stop this kind of Human Trafficking . Can the various ports tighten up their entry procedures, their scanning and so want to try to stop this . I think there probably is more that you could do with technology. But i think the absolute heart of this is better intelligence, and that involves working more closely with the french particularly, but other nations, as well, to really target the absolutely wicked people and target the absolutely wicked people and| target the absolutely wicked people and i use the word deliberately that are so remorseless they are prepared to treat human lives for money. So we must go after those people who are basically profiting from the death of others. Back to politics in a more general sense, and talk about what mrjohnson wa nts, and talk about what mrjohnson wants, which is that election just before christmas, 12 december why . I think because it is now as plain asa pike i think because it is now as plain as a pike staff, nakedly obvious that the emperor has no clothes, and what i mean by that is that there are some members of parliament who will never vote for us to leave the eu under any circumstances. Why do i say that . Particularly labour mps have been saying for ages, of course our event to or respect the referendum but we must never clash out with no deal. But we have a deal in the house of commons has voted for it, because they voted for the second reading of the bill to implement the deal, and a second reading of the bill in parliamentary terms means you are voting on the principle of the house of commons, bya principle of the house of commons, by a majority of 30, which given the tightness of the house, is quite a big majority, has done what we never did for theresa mays different version the house of commons has now voted in principle to approve the deal, but we still have large numbers of labour mps the deal, but we still have large numbers of labourmps in the deal, but we still have large numbers of labour mps in particular who are fighting a desperate action to prevent it going through, because they never ever wanted us to leave they never ever wanted us to leave the eu despite the result of the referendum. Actually what Jeremy Corbyn is saying tonight is let me tell you what he is saying, he says, the principle is to take no deal off the table. We have wait a minute, he says the eu answers tomorrow about the extension, then we can decide. He says he wants to wait and see what the eu decides on a brexit delay before saying whether or not he would support what mr johnson wants in terms of an election. We are all keenly awaiting news from the european union, but the Prime Minister has said repeatedly that he wanted to leave at halloween full site the only reason he sent a letter then didnt sign it was because remainers in parliament compelled him to do so, and the Prime Minister always said he would obey the law. The law said he would obey the law. The law said he had to send the letter, it never said he had to sign it. So when you boil this down, the public out there in the real world are absolutely sick and tired of this i get that in my e mail inbox, when i speak to people in my constituencies, and i am by no means unique. We want this done, weve spent three years arguing about this, we need to finish it and leave the european union. And if parliament wont agree to that because federalist mps will die ina to that because federalist mps will die in a ditch to stop us leaving, then we need a general election to drain the swamp. It sounds like labour wont agree to an election u nless labour wont agree to an election unless no deal is off the table at. It has nothing to do with no deal. Can you guarantee that no deal would be off the table . We have a deal in parliament voted for it. All we need to do now is to implement it will stop and when they say there wasnt enough time to debate it we have been debating the withdrawal agreement, the earlier version, and this is a bit different for a year. We had meaningful vote 1 3, all about the agreement. What you think we we re about the agreement. What you think we were debating in the weeks. But borisjohnson said he would die in a ditch then not leave by 31 october, and that wont happen. Hes done everything he possibly can. The fact is. Hes broken his promise, havent done or hasnt he . We have a group of primarily labour mps but also euro fanatical liberal democrats. That also tells you where the lib dems stand in all this. And these people have voted time and again to stop us leaving the eu. It is not the Prime Ministers fault, it is their fault. At some point in the next few months, one way or another, we are likely to have a general election and many of those labour mps will have to answer to their constituents. And they should ask not for whom the bell tolls, because it tolls for them. They can very much for being with us, thank you for your time. Heres ben crouch or with the sports. She millions and millions of millions and millions of apples are being left to rot in fields across britain this autumn because growers are struggling to recruit Seasonal Workers. The National Farmers union says brexit uncertainty is adding to the struggle to recruit enough Seasonal Workers. With 16 of roles left unfilled last month across uk horticulture emma simpson reports from kent. In this corner of kent, an orchard full of apples left to rot. The season isnt officially over but it is for this farmer. They look good enough to eat. Yep, beautiful fruit. He doesnt have enough pickers. Normally we would pick every single apple on this farm. Never ever have we not picked every single apple. This year, tomorrow, were giving up. Youll leave the apples on the trees . Yeah, thats it. We are going to leave them on the trees. The National Farmers union says more than 1100 tonnes have been left unpicked across england so far this season, thats 16 million apples a small proportion of overall, but enough to give an apple a day to 44,000 pupils for a year. So whats the problem . Theres a short window to pick Fresh Produce like this. Its Seasonal Work and, for decades, farmers have relied on eu workers, mostly eastern europeans, to come over and do the vast majority of the picking. Things were getting harder even before brexit, but the fall in the pound and all the Political Uncertainty is making things even worse. These are the workers phil has left, a far cry from the 40 he wanted. The eu pickers who did come have already left. Ive been picking for 13 years on this farm and ive noticed over the last year or two, the quality of the people is not turning up or, if they are turning up, theyre going home earlier. And there arent enough brits willing or able to do this short term work. Down the road, the National Fruit show. Here they say the real prize would be the expansion of a permit scheme thats been tried this year to bring in Seasonal Workers from outside the eu. We have a crisis in labour in horticulture here in the uk. We need 30,000 non eu workers by permit next year. The government says a post brexit overhaul of the immigration system would benefit everyone in britain, including farmers. Right now, though, many of them are counting the cost from a harvest thats seen so much home grown produce go to waste. The drug improves lung function, reduces breathing difficulties and can be given to children as young as two. It should be available within a month as our Health Editor hugh pym now reports. For liz and shane, this was a day they feared would never come, the day when the nhs in england agreed to fund the drug for their daughter annabelles Cystic Fibrosis. Thank you. Its not completely sunk in. Its just such a relief. Its just amazing. Just, yeah, been dreaming about this day for four years. Cystic fibrosis is a debilitating condition affecting the lungs, which can fill up with fluid. The drug 0rkambi is said to improve lung function by 40 , but it can cost up to £100,000 a year per patient. What do we want . 0rkambi liz and other families protested at westminster, calling for access to the drug, but talks between the manufacturer and nhs leaders and ministers stalled. The Scottish Government reached a deal last month. Now an agreement for 0rkambi and two other Cystic Fibrosis drugs to be funded in england has been reached. This is a great deal, firstly because it means the nhs has access to these life changing drugs at a fair price for the taxpayer and secondly because the manufacturer, vertex, is now fully engaged with the processes to assess these drugs and future drugs they have in development, but most importantly because, for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, theirfamilies, their carers, who have been waiting patiently but for too long for access to these drugs, they will now be made available within the next 30 days. These are just some of the daily treatments which annabelle needs right now. Liz says the new drug will make a big difference. For us, having that more certainty, that safer future, thats just what its about. As parents, we just want our daughter to have the best chance to her life. Annabelle is just one of around 5,000 Cystic Fibrosis patients who are thought likely to benefit from these potentially life changing medicines. Rebecca cosgriff from the Cystic Fibrosis trust and carlie pleasant a Cystic Fibrosis patient and campaigner join me now. Welcome to you both. You suffer from Cystic Fibrosis, what is your reaction to this news that this drug is now going to be available to you quite soon . I am still in shock. It has really sunk in in yet but it will be one of the best days of my entire life. It has been a Long Time Coming and yes, i am extremely grateful and extremely elated. Explain the difference it will make to you. I think personally it would definitely improve my quality of life. At the moment, i am on a lot of ta blets, life. At the moment, i am on a lot of tablets, and that is just as a sta ble of tablets, and that is just as a stable day to day thing. When i am ill, i imagine it will cut down emissions and things like that. It also extend my life meaning i could have more time with my husband and little boy. Youre going to be 30, i think ina little boy. Youre going to be 30, i think in a few weeks. 30 on christmas day. But make your birthdays christmas day. And Life Expectancy is. Around 32. And that is and this does extend Life Expectancy. For people across england, it means longer, healthier lives, as she has mentioned, the drug has shown that it has a stabilising effect on health, protecting lung function wishes will be tendency to deteriorate for people with Cystic Fibrosis and less hospital admissions. That is what you call it a life saver because its going to extend your life and living conditions. Hours of work this moment and they received a telephone call and he told me himself which was the best phone call i think ive ever received my entire life. Invited me to his office to just tell me in person and tell me a little bit more about the deal that they have made. We are seeing pictures of that meeting now, getting a big hug from the Health Secretary there. It is an expensive drug, isnt it. But obviously, you and campaigners would say it is with every penny. Of course, i am going to bea every penny. Of course, i am going to be a little bit biased in the little bit selfish but the cost but ultimately, its going to help so many people and it is a genetic condition, so its going to save hundreds of people in the future as well. Tell us about the cost implications because it is about £100,000, is that right . The list price was £4000, we understand that a discount has been given to nhs england and we dont know exactly that cost is. But after a really ha rd that cost is. But after a really hard fought battle that is going on for four years, people with Cystic Fibrosis can access medicines that will improve their health and it is really vital that all patients who suffer from Rare Diseases that effective cutting edge medicines are made available on the nhs. The picture uk wide, this is already available in scotland but now it is available in scotland but now it is available in scotland but now it is available in england, but what about wells in Northern Ireland . To make the same deal has been the same deal is been made to wells in Northern Ireland and in fact there will be having discussions on whether this deal can be made in those areas, but it is an absolute priority of ours that more than 300 people were affected and was in Northern Ireland get access to these drugs as a matter of urgency. With any sort of spending on drugs and emergencies, there will always be choices and some are more expensive than others. The hs was saving nhs was saying that it was a problem of affording it. The agreement being made that is so fantastic because the terms of agreement is that the real world evidence to be collected using the registry for a period of 18 months and that evidence will be resubmitted to the body that is responsible for making these recommendations to the nhs about the cost effectiveness of medicines. We made based on new medicines and hope that the real world evidence collection will benefit the appraisal of drugs coming down and we know that there is a therapy that is available and will work on 90 of the Cystic Fibrosis community and we hope that they will pave the way for access to the drug when he goes online as well. What ascended like living with Cystic Fibrosis, both in terms of the physical implications but also psychologically knowing that he could shorten your life so dramatically. Physically, it is extremely hard from a day to day basis, but it is hard to put into words really how excruciatingly painful it can be sometimes. But it just means in the morning, a state at least an hour trying to get over the first part of the day and so yeah, its going to hopefullyjust move now. Yeah, its going to hopefullyjust move now. So this drug will make the symptoms easier . This drug is the first of its kind that treats the causes rather than just masks them. Sol causes rather than just masks them. So i think it is going to bejust a game changer for everybody now. Change your life . When hundred percent. And im extremely grateful. And when do you think you might be able to get your hands on it . Im actually at the Hospital Next Week to get some information but definitely a christmas i will have it. My best wishes to you and your family. Thank you for coming in. Rebecca is well, thank you for discussing that with us. The remains of the dictator who ruled spain for nearly four decades general franco have been exhumed from a vast mausoleum in madrid, and reburied. Franco led spains fascists in a brutal civil war in the 1930s, which claimed the lives of around half a million people. His reburial was a key pledge of the socialist government his family tried unsuccessfully to prevent it in the courts. 0ur correspondent guy hedgecoe reports. The remains of Francisco Franco removed by members of his family from his final resting place. The valley of the fallen, a controversial site. Built by franco himself, using republican prisoners, between 1940 and 1959, many feel it glorifies his legacy. Franco came to power in 1939, after defeating the leftist republican government in the civil war. This puts an end to front such as the glorification of the figure of a dictator in a public place. One more step is been taken towards reconciliation that can only rest of the democracy and freedom that we all share. Franco came to power in 1939, after defeating the leftist republican government in the civil war. He carried out reprisals after the conflict, killing tens of thousands of spaniards. Under his, so called, National Catholic ideology, political and social freedoms were repressed. Many spaniards were driven into exile. He died in 1975 and was buried in the catholic basilica at the valley of the fallen with state honours. After his death, the country made the transition to democracy, but the issue of francos legacy has been a sensitive one. While franco had his supporters, the new socialist government which took office last year made the exhumation a priority. It overcame a legal challenge from the franco family, which opposed the process. I feel rage, it has been used as propaganda and publicity for the next elections. Francos remains have been flown, by helicopter to a cemetery on the outskirts of madrid, where they will be reburied in a family plot later today. Supporters gathered near the cemetery on the outskirts of madrid to voice their opposition to the exhumation. They looked on as his body was brought in to be reburied in the family plot. Historical Memory Campaign is the more needs to be done to address the legacy of franco, but for now, this marks a major shift in spains handling of its divisive past. The rescue services in scotland have praised a ten year old boy who scrambled down a ravine in argyll to help his mother after she slipped and fell more than 300 feet while they were out on a family walk. The boy managed to ring for help and was able to tell paramedics where she had fallen on the mountain. James shaw reports. In darkness and harsh weather, a rescue is happening on a scottish mountain. Shes been packaged onto the stretcher, and you can see the winchman from the helicopter managing the stretcher, and then the lift as the helicopter starts to winch the stretcher up. There were quite significant risks at this point, because of the helicopter hovering 80 metres above us, and managing the stretcher between the trees and on the steep ground. But the extraordinary thing about this rescue is that at the heart of it was a ten year old boy. After his mother fell, he scrambled down the mountain to find her. He used her mobile phone to call the Emergency Services and then stayed with her for hours, reassuring her and keeping her conscious, which may well have made a big difference to her chances of surviving. He really helped his mother. He probably did save her life by calling the police, interacting with the police and bringing us to her location quickly. The mum is being treated for serious injuries, but it is hoped she will make a full recovery. The family dont want to talk about their ordeal at the moment, but the rescue team will be recommending her son for a Bravery Award for his actions on the night he kept his mother alive. Researchers in america are giving new meaning to the phrase rat race, as they investigate the anxiety caused by back seat driving by putting rats in the driving seat. The rats drove around the lab at the university of richmond, occasionally stopping to pick up a reward, in the form of small plates of cereal. When rats drove where they wanted to go, it was found they were less stressed than when scientists took control of the vehicles. We are all better for knowing that, im sure. Time to look at the weather. Following in its place is much colder air which is arriving in a moment across the north and west of the country, notice how it should stay mild for another day or two for many of us in the south. The weather picture tonight, were going to see that colder air continue to feed and across Northern Ireland, scotland and england. Well see clear spells and england. Well see clear spells and showers but notice the showers will have a wintry tinge to them over will have a wintry tinge to them over the hills in scotland and we could see a little bit of snow there at the time and in the south, is relatively mild. Big temperature contrast with the setting in place for areas of the uk which could lead toa for areas of the uk which could lead to a few icy stretches particularly where we see overnight showers and in the south it is still relatively mild with temperatures around ten to 12 degrees or some of us and a dividing line between the mild air in the court air which will be spreading in our way through parts of england and parts of wells as well. It promises to be quite a windy day wherever you are and across the northwest of the country, it is going to be a case of sunny spells and blustery showers and for south, outbreaks of rain turning steady and heavy through the day across wells in northwestern areas of england and Southeast Asia stray and 16 in both cardiff and london, a chill though for edinburgh and belfast as well. Once this is arriving it will stay slow moving truck friday night and into saturday, continue to pump that moisture into the hills and so the high ground in the highlands, will see some high ground in the highlands, will see some rainfall totals building and that means we could see some localised Flooding Issues as we head to the first part of the weekend. Saturday itself, our weather fronts slow to move in towards the south of england but eventually will turn white. Further north the front of the england and another day of sunny spells and blustery showers and make inroads to make inroads towards the southeast by by sunday, as the clock goes back for that extra hour, it will be a warm area because be feeding its way southwards. Dry sparkling skies for many of us but if you showers from coastal areas in the north and the east and that is your weather. Hello, im ros atkins, this is outside source. Borisjohnson says hes going to try for a general election in december. Its time, frankly, that the opposition summoned up the nerve to submit themselves to the judgment of our collective boss which is the people of the uk. But to do so, hell need the support of the opposition. Heres what labours leader is saying. Ive been calling for an election ever since the last one, because this country needs one in order to deal with all the social injustice issues. But no deal must be taken off the table. Well have the latest on the 39 people found who were found dead in a lorry in Eastern England on tuesday. Police say they were all chinese
