Lucy bronze is voted europes best as shes named the first english winner of the uefa player of the year award. Its a blustery day ahead, rain is set to turn heavier in scotland. A weekend of sunshine and showers and a cooler start to september. I have all your weekend weather coming up. Good morning. Its friday the 30th of august. Our top story the Prime Minister has vowed to step up the tempo on efforts to secure a brexit compromise before britain leaves the eu on 31st october. Government negotiators will meet their counterparts in brussels twice a week in september, in a bid to break the deadlock ahead of a crucial summit in october. Jonathan blake is in westminster. There is so much going on there, isnt there, with the announcements of these increasing talks with the eu, and then at the same time this is in the context of the suspension of parliament. What is your take . Good morning. Ithink good morning. I think if anyone was expecting this intensification of talks to calm the nerves of mps in westminster worried about a no deal brexit, then it wont go very far towards doing that. Certainly not as some optimistic sounds from the government, is that kind of optimism far as the opposition parties are present among eu leaders . Not concerned, the labour party, smp and lib dems said the move to suspend optimism, but a willingness to parliament was undemocratic snp, listen. Weve had in the last few but i think the chances of boris minutes a parade of Foreign Ministers from eu countries have johnson changing his mind are about been arriving here for a day of talks, and weve been asking them zero. And for all the talk of more about exactly this, the irish prime talks, that is exactly what they are minister says theyre willing to at this stage and there isnt much expectation of a breakthrough before the eu summit scheduled for mid october, if it even happens meet five days a week if there is something to talk about. He says then. Downing street admits the two there has been nothing table yet by sides are far apart on that key there has been nothing table yet by issue of the backstop. Still, the the uk. And ive been hearing from other european Foreign Ministers as plans prevent a hard border with Northern Ireland betrayed your cant well. The Irish Foreign minister be done, but borisjohnson says hes says whatever the uk proposes has to been encouraged by this chart with deal with that issue with ireland to Emmanuel Macron and chancellor merkel and its time to up the be acceptable. We then heard from tempo. But, as all that happens, mps are gearing up for a big battle with the foreign secretary himself, dominic raab, he said that he was the government when they come back from the summer break next week to try to prevent the government from taking the uk out of the eu without talking about the decision to bro parliament he says it wasnt an a deal at the end of october, if it unconstitutional outrage, just a few days less. We questioned him and he comes to it, there is talk of sitting on night and working through said there would be ample time to negotiate any new deal that comes the weekend. If you like following this stuff closely, get some rest back but the eu side at the moment this stuff closely, get some rest this weekend because it is going to saying no detailed proposals are bea this weekend because it is going to be a very busy week eight. Christmas trees and bikes strapped to the roof of our vehicles, cani thanks forjoining us on breakfast. Can i ask you a bit about the news but what about another car . This morning about the negotiations with the eu and the plan to meet this driver in aberystwyth has been with the eu and the plan to meet with the eu twice a week . One of the fined and given three points Big Questions i have about this is on his license, for making the journey to the scrap yard like this. Why havent we been doing that already . Weve been saying all along, for the last five weeks, i how did he get it up there, though . Where did he get it from . Should say, since the new Prime Minister came in. We want to get a he was convicted of driving a motor dealer that is the objective. The vehicle in a condition likely best way to get a deal is to go to to cause injury. Hell for leather planning for a new deal situation, because if we cant also, how did he stabilise it so it get rid of that backstop, if its didnt squash the roof of the car . Not doable, we will live on live you think it would damage the car on the 31st with a without a deal. But weve always been vigorous with with the weight under it. Both cars our negotiations with the eu and would be scrapped at that rate. Stepping it up is a good way to do that. It takes two to tango, of clearly illegal. A doubledecker. Course. Other any signs it is going laughter. To make a difference, though . Eu its 6 10am. Leaders havent budged so far in their position. I would say from the that wasjohn. Weekend g7 summit last weekend when borisjohnson was that was john. Have you ever been weekend g7 summit last weekend when Boris Johnson was up weekend g7 summit last weekend when borisjohnson was up there meeting invited to a glitzy do but you couldnt make it because you were with the european leaders and others busy . It happened to lucy bronze there was probablyjust a first la st busy . It happened to lucy bronze last night she was awarded the uefa player of the year award but was playing for england so she couldnt jungle block. Its hard tojudge how attend. A major accolade of the bits but she couldnt make it. There are everything in europe tends to happen, usually at the very last minute. I spent virtually every day now in what is called the brexit important tournaments around the operations committee, the x 0 cornerfor england, important tournaments around the corner for england, especially after the latest disappointment. And so committee, which are held in the cobra planning rooms in the cabinet much love for her for winning that. Office stop planning for what first english player to do so, so a happens if we get that deal while great achievement. But she wasnt sincerely hoping that we do. I can able to be there to collect her tell you what the answer is going to award. The lyon full back said be. From what you are saying, youre she was ecstatic to win the award, working hard to get a deal, but which is voted for by top coaches in the womens game and journalists. Surely, in the amount of time mps Liverpools Virgil Van Dijk won the mens award. Bronze wasnt at the ceremony, have two debate brexit by suspending though, she was playing for england, parliament for such a long time who needed a Nikita Parris penalty to draw 3 3 with belgium totally works against that, doesnt in their first game it . Every single time that you know, since the world cup. Wales won their euro qualifier this time period comes up, there are against the Faroe Islands. Wolves are into the group stage of the Europa League, party conferences. That has happened after beating torino 2 1 in front of a jubilant molineux crowd, for the past 80 years. This whole celtic and rangers idea of parliament being suspended also made it through. Has been completely overblown, its been suspended for four days in october while we get ready for the and more good news. Next session of parliament which and Johanna Konta was impressive in her second round match at the us should have already taken place a open, easily beating the unseeded russian Margarita Gasparyan in less long time ago. And you only have to look at what is being debated in than an hour. Parliament at the moment always being before the summer recess and what is coming up and we get back to a bit ofa a bit of a shock there, though. Realise we have actually, wimbledon champion fundamentally run out of legislation to discuss. What happens is, every simona halep is out. Potentially opening up the year, ordinarily, the queen comes to parliament. He announces the bills that will be debated for the next 12 competition. So, good news forthem, months, wejust that will be debated for the next 12 months, we just havent had a new good stuff. John, thank you very session of parliament for so long much indeed. We will have the full that the parliaments run out of sports report later. Its 6 12am. Bills to debate. I dont think its ever been short of time to debate brexit, lets face it its been now heres nick. Good morning, nick. Good morning. It is expected to turn over three years since the country cooler, heading in to the end of august. Today it is more of a north voted in the referendum to leave. I would probably Say Parliament in one shape orform, south split across the uk across would probably Say Parliament in one shape or form, whether that is to questions or debates has discussed northern parts, scotland, northern brexit every single sitting day ireland, north west england and since then. So the idea that these north west wales, a greater chance four days in october, that we of seeing rain today. Weve got the strongest winds as well the further somehow car discussed brexit is not true. The next big thing to happen south you are with some sunshine. Will be around the next european rain mostly in the north west of the summit, thats not till the middle of october anyway, and there will be uk, we have this weather front , something new to discuss. Mr shapps rain mostly in the north west of the uk, we have this weatherfront , it hangs around for 24 hours before moving south on saturday with sunshine and showers following. This there has been a huge backlash. You saturday is shaping up and heres are painting it is very normal, but are painting it is very normal, but a monster mps as well, you know, the rain. At times in northern this is a time when we need to get ireland, north west england, northern wales. Patchy rain in the agreement between people, not create south were clear away. Parts of divisions . Eastern scotland may see the odd it is not normal to think not to burst of rain moving through but i have legislation to pass unless you think much of yorkshire, eastern south wales midlands, east anglia have legislation to pass unless you have a new queens speech. We have and southern england will have a dry afternoon with some sunshine. It not had a queens speech and that is will behaviour times and temperatures still for some into the what is not normal. The new mid 20s. We have got the rainjust government has a very domestic into the high teens. Its quite agenda, 20,000 more police to windy with the rain, gusts of maybe 40 mild an hour or so. Clampdown serious crime, putting windy with the rain, gusts of maybe 40 mild an hour orso. Into windy with the rain, gusts of maybe money on the nhs, School Spending so 40 mild an hour or so. Into tonight, watch how the rain turns heavier for Northern Ireland, across parts of people are getting the right amount western and northern scotland, weve of money, so a big domestic agenda got some green showing up, that the intensity of the rainfall. And elsewhere will have a dry note, which you cannot do unless you are temperatures moving into double able to set that out on a queens figures dry note. Here is that speech. I know people are getting extremely excited about it but those daysin extremely excited about it but those days in october to get ready for the low pressure, here is the weather front still with us towards the west queens speech seems rational to me of the uk finally moving southwards. And there is plenty of time both before it does so, though, quite a before and after the european summit to debate whatever new has come out lot of rain will fall through Northern Ireland, western and northern scotland, weve got yellow from the new stepped up efforts weather warnings in force into between the eu and our diplomats. Saturday here. Just a flavour of the all of that against the announcement totals, a possibility of seeing some iam making all of that against the announcement i am making today which is preparing for the pods readiness and disruption. But quite quickly on infrastructure. Mr shapps, 30 saturday morning that will clear through Northern Ireland. During saturday for western scotland moving million for various parts, to be for across the west of scotland, and a weakening, narrowing band of rain moving southwards to northern wales. Behind that on saturday, some appears to have a chance of catching by companies. That 10 million appears to have a chance of catching a shower, but it was down. Its the figure, to put in context. What last day of that warmth because behind that weather system we see operators spend 6 million per year the cooler colours taking over, the wind changing direction to more north westerly rather than the so what is £10 million going to do . Current south westerly for part two of the weekend on sunday. Then there lots of bids of money, and extra will be some sunshine around, quite pleasa nt will be some sunshine around, quite pleasant in the sunshine, but quite money announced after the new a brisk breeze that will bring showers into scotland, Northern Ireland, Northern England, wales, minister took over getting us ready heavy and hungry and some fluttering in different ways. A lot of our further south and east as we go through the day. Heres a look at goods move between the short the temperatures on sunday, so some of usi the temperatures on sunday, so some of us ijust the temperatures on sunday, so some of us i just stuck around the straight, dover to calais, a lot of mid teens, only one 20 showing up focus and attention and plans in there. Some low 30s next week, and place involving a huge amount of preparation and indeed a lot of money to make sure the flow. We enter meteorological autumn. Preparation and indeed a lot of money to make sure the flow. But £10 million is not enough, is it . The point i was going to make, we come to other pods and i have been meeting with them. Several times in if you are deprived of sunrise this different places. They are probably morning or over the next few days, look at this. A man called steve still something things although the level of disruption is much less, mann bancroft was inspired by a but there are things you might want to do, to engineer the way the roundabout comes into the pot, movie and carted this statue, took perhaps the Parking Spaces while the picture and then he had to take paper work is checked, many pods the picture and then he had to take the lion all the way to the bottom have taken action and this is yet again. Well done, steve. That is another thing on top of that 30 impressive. All that effort for that million today ports. Photograph. Good job he likes announcements by the ministry of sunrises. Lets take a look at todays papers. The guardian says a growing number housing, and many different funding of senior conservatives are prepared streams as well. The one thing to block no deal. The paper says anger and disbelief no one can say and the last five over the Prime Ministers decision to suspend parliament have contributed to an escalation of the civil war in the tory party. Weeks is we are working very hard and very proactively to get ready meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph and very proactively to get ready and we will be. I think we are more sasteremy corbyn has urged his supporters to shut down the streets in the biggest protests since the poll tax. Ready than people realise. I sit in according to the paper conservatives these exit operations and we get described the demonstrations into the detail of it and we are as a sinister opposition much more prepared than people to the 2016 referendum. Realise. If we are more ready, maybe you can give us more detail and the times leads that women taking people can prepare and there would hormone replacement therapy during the menopause are at risk of developing Breast Cancer for ten not be the problem businesses have. Years after treatment. The weekend is almost here, september is almost here, lets see this is something we will be talking like it is changing. It feels autumnal. About throughout the programme. We will have some experts on later. Yes it is changing. Certainly tweet us any questions. Compared to last weekend. We still and the daily star reveals who dares stings, as it reports that tv survival expert bear grylls have friday to get through before the weekend. A north south split out has had a life threatening encounter with an unlikely opponent a bee there. The northern half of the uk, we get the lion share of the cloud. The paper reports that the former sas serviceman collapsed you may see some rain, pretty after having a severe allergic reaction while filming for his latest tv show. Blustery but particularly across the northern half, 30 Miles Per Hour in i went on holiday and was wearing places because youre closer to this area of high pressure. The weather stuff to stop me getting bitten because i react really badly. When i front was set for 24 hours for the came back, i woke up with a massive weekend. Sunshine and showers lump on my head and i had been following on as it moves southwards. Beaten by a spider. You missed a rain mostly in the west of scotland, spot. Do you like your watchers . I some pushing further ease. Occasional rain in Northern Ireland, do not wear a watch, use the phone. North west england and cumbria. A could you afford this one . Cristiano lot will fade away into the ronaldo, in the front row, he was afternoon, leaving dry weatherfor england and wales in the afternoon. Wearing this model, a basic model mid 20s for east anglia and the cost £140,000, that is a low south east. With the rain and risk estimation. This could be closer to wind, you have the mid teens. Rain 1. 8 million. For a watch . Youjust tony heavier. Some greens appearing, wouldnt wear it. If you sat at dinnerand someone. Wouldnt wear it. If you sat at dinner and someone. You absolutely thatis tony heavier. Some greens appearing, that is the intensity. Temperatures would wear red. You would wear it to in double figures but that changes next week. Cooler nights to come as buy milk down the shop. Does that well. We get into the weekend, still where it. If you had a 1. 8 million this weather system but it is starting during saturday to move watch i would say to bring it in. South east was. Before that happens, take us out to a nice dinner. A some fairly high rainfall totals, little story i have seen inside. This shows you how different it is western scotland and northern 110w this shows you how different it is now being a student. At portsmouth ireland. Especially towards the hills. Yellow warnings in force. On university, the first in england to close its campus bar because saturday morning, the rain quickly clears. Then for western scotland. Stu d e nts close its campus bar because students dont drink there anymore. Actually people would prefer a pulling away from eastern scotland. A narrowing brand of rain pushing social space without alcohol. Southwards. A brief spell of rain as alcohol sales dropped by 20 year on it moves southwards. Temperatures yearfor alcohol sales dropped by 20 year on year for the past four years. Alcohol sales dropped by 20 year on yearfor the past four years. Can you imagine that. Unthinkable. You come down further few degrees. That do not see big groups of students is as the cooler air follows the weather system. More of a parading. They are so body conscious. Much more sent on their north westerly direction. Making for appearance and how they look. Plus a cooler feel on sunday, north westerly direction. Making for a coolerfeel on sunday, the north westerly direction. Making for a cooler feel on sunday, the start if youre paying for university you of september, the start of the have less money to spend on beer. Theyve done this in scotland are meteorological autumn and showers to ready but apparently someone said to be had on sunday among those me it is because the generation now, people in their 20s, they have seen sunshine as well. If you catch a their parents being quite drunk and shower it could be heavy and thundering. It will filter further they do not want to look like eastwards. The temperatures on them. The ultimate rebellion, sunday i mentioned earlier. Last dont look like your mum and dad. Or sunday i mentioned earlier. Last sunday hi 20s, low 30s, it will feel quite different. Maybe previous Portsmouth University it already feels different. A student drank everything in the bar sinister cackle from nick at the. Lisa moved to spain three years ago and is undergoing treatment lisa moved to spain three years ago for Breast Cancer. And is undergoing treatment expats have been advised to register for Breast Cancer. For spanish residency. Expats have been advised to register lisa says her application has been rejected on a technicality for spanish residency. Even though she has been lisa says her application has been rejected on a technicality here for three years. Even though she has been if i dont have residency, here for three years. If i dont have residency, i dont have my healthcare rights. I dont have my healthcare rights. Do you fear if there is a no deal brexit, your treatment could do you fear if there eventually stop . It could is a no deal exit, suddenly countries could decide your treatment could effectively stop . Yes, of course it could they dont like each other too much. It is unlikely that i mean, suddenly countries can decide they dont like each so was prorogation and this is why other too much. The panic and the anxiety is rising. Its unlikely but so was prorogation and this is why the panic and the anxiety is rising. Others are confident things will be sorted. Others are confident neil runs a support group for expats. Things will be sorted. There is no question that britain neil runs a support group for expats. And spain would want an agreement. There is no question in my mind that britain and spain before spain evenjoined the eu, would want an agreement. There were lots of agreements before spain evenjoined between britain and spain over the eu 30 35 years ago, healthcare, pension rights, there were lots of different but no government is going to let agreements between britain and spain over healthcare, pension rights, people not be covered, workers rights, but no government its just not going to happen. Is going to let people not be people here expect to feel the heat covered, its just not but as brexit gets nearer, going to happen. People here expect to feel the heat the questions keep coming. But as brexit gets nearer, the questions keep coming. The government has today announced £4 million in funding to help uk the British Government has today nationals to live across the eu, to announced a 3 Million Pound package register residency and fill out for british nationals to help them forms, especially pensioners and register. How worried do you think disabled people but and is a president of brits pats. The people should be, you are a solicitor . I think people who live situation as it stands is desperate. Here for more than six months of the year should become a spanish it is cruel, particularly to the resident so register themselves with pensioners. A lot of them are the spanish authorities and spain already residency, they have that passed a law in the first of march protecting british People Living in spain who are residents so long as a driving licences, they are already legal and this is come late in the uk government reciprocate the same day. A nice gesture but it should rights so for example, at the moment have happened three years ago. The Spanish Government says it will british People Living in spain have access to healthcare if they are provide healthcare as long as residents and if the uk residents britain does the same. It does reciprocate those rights, that will defend our rights for 21 months from be no problem. But it has not happened yet. It has not happened in the date of departure but the uk has the uk it was passed in spain so designed a reciprocal arrangement. The uk government has yet to put pen well done, spain. I the uk it was passed in spain so well done, spain. Lam the uk it was passed in spain so well done, spain. I am talking to to paper to the uk government has yet to put pen to paperto sign the uk government has yet to put pen to paper to sign it so it is up in lots of our clients, we have clients the airand we to paper to sign it so it is up in the air and we really do not know. You multifaceted, this brexit, i wish it run this bar, do you think people had been thought through a little are changing their mind . Some of the bit before it happened and people customers have said they voted leave might have voted differently. I could not vote in the referendum and and now wish they have voted remain ido could not vote in the referendum and i do not expect in general elections but it does affect my familys whether it is because of this no future. Others have effectively deal. Nobody knows what is happening voted my future and the future of and a lot of people are worried. The others here. There are people who people who live here six months of have come here, understood the the year and go back, are they going situation, new they write and they to be allowed to keep coming to an just had the rug pulled out of their feet. That start from under their fro or will they need visas to visit feet. That start from under their the country. A lot of concerns and feet. Freedom of movement, so many issues. It is huge. We will be uncertainty. The British Embassy in madrid says they have run 200 talking a lot more about this this workshops across the country to help morning. The British Embassy in madrid is offered 200 workshops people register their residency. In the world of vaccines a spokesman for hotpoints owner, you get shortages more often than whirlpool, said the trailers which had caught fire contained spare parts, and no one had been injured. Unlike hosts england, start taking hrt or perhaps continue wales women have to qualify taking hrt. Some of you have already for euro 2021. And they made the perfect start, beating the Faroe Islands 6 0 and how about this for a goal from reading striker tash harding . Gotten in touch with us. Plenty of really clever finish as she grabbed questions. We are going to be a hat trick and go on to face Northern Ireland on tuesday. Speaking to a leading gynaecologist in the next ten minutes. Also, aston villas tyrone mings says should be doing a live 0 and a on he thought his call up our Facebook Page up until 7am this to the england squad was a joke. Morning. He got a text from the england camp a mother, who won a major court case and at first he thought it was a prank. On bereavement benefits, you think you would get a call. He says its shameful the government hasnt acted on the ruling a year on. Siobhan mclaughlin, is pleased it wasnt a prank. Also in the squad for the first time from County Antrim, wasnt married to her late partner and so wasnt is Manchester Uniteds aaron able to claim an allowance wan bissaka, as the manager for widowed parents. In 2018, siobhan won a challenge continues to promote Young Players. We have had the two year period against that decision in the supreme court. Of progress and constant improvement, i think, the department for work and pensions says its actively but we cant stand still and there considering options are Young Players coming following the ruling and has through that we might not see widened support for the best of in the next two years, bereaved families. A fire has engulfed about 40 lorry actually, but for the long term, trailers at a household for england we need to start integrating them because i think appliance factory in peterborough. This team can constantly improve and evolve. You can see from these pictures it the holders liverpool will be pretty pleased was a pretty terrible scene. Wow. With their Champions League draw. Theyve been drawn with napoli who they faced in the group stage last year as well the black smoke could be seen from miles around the hotpoint site in shrewsbury avenue and witnesses reported hearing explosions at around 7pm. Midfield as they took the british number one cruised to a straight sets win in less on belgium in a freindly, than an hour, and will face zhang shuai today. As jo currie reports. Dan da n eva ns dan evans is there as well, the only two remaining rates brits. On the night lucy bronze could have beenin on the night lucy bronze could have been in monaco, picking up the swimming with dolphins or riding camels through the desert, biggest accolade of her career, she features highly on many of our bucket lists, was instead taking on belgium in a but what affect does animal tourism friendly. The belgium is sprang back into the game in comicalfashion. Nikita good morning to you. Morning. Its the conflict between the dream, the parris bird englands blushes with a late penalty to rescue a draw. Bucket list fantasy we have of doing englands first match since the world cup and is in an unconvincing draw, but the night belongs to lucy bronze, the first ever english player to be voted the best in europe. Im surprised. I push myself these things and the impact can to be the best every day, im not have. Yeah, and i think youve got to remember when youre going to sure i got the capabilities to go get there, but i was myself every visit an animal, particularly if it a captive environment, it may be on day and its nice to get those kind your bucket list but it isnt on of compliments. It may not have been that animals bucket list. And this story about new zealand is an a memorable night for bronze, but is interesting example because actually goals like this board at the world its a its a wild environment. Its ina bay its a its a wild environment. Its in a bay where dolphins are naturally travelling. We really cup. It is goals like this happy the new Zealand Government has been monitoring the impact on the dolphins there and seeing they need scored at the world cup that are to ta ke dolphins there and seeing they need to take action and restrict that human activity, which is interfering ha rd to scored at the world cup that are with our lives. And how does it hard to forget. Interfere . It looks like the people liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk beat lionel messi swimming with the dolphins and the and Cristiano Ronaldo boats going into the area is in some to the mens award he thanked his team mates for helping him to win way affecting their movements and the prestigious prize. Their natural behaviours. That means numbers in the bay of dolphins have wales women made the perfect start to their qualifying campaign dropped just tickly. So the for euro 2021. Government has stepped in and taken they beat the Faroe Islands 6 0, reading striker Natasha Harding scoring a hat trick in a really action to restrict that human convincing away victory. Activity. Its notjust new zealand, aston villas tyrone mings says its not just dolphins, activity. Its notjust new zealand, he thought his call up its notjust dolphins, you look on social media this time of year, to the england squad was a joke. People coming back from their summer holidays, steph riding on a camel and an elephant, would you say a he got a text from the england blanket note to any of that kind of camp and at first he thought thing . Its all cruel . The important it was a prank. Thing . Its all cruel . The important thing for people to remember is they also in the squad for the first time is Manchester Uniteds aaron have a role in ensuring that cruelty wan bissaka, as the manager in animal Tourist Attractions and continues to bring in Young Players. We have had the two year period of stop if you can ride the animal, if progress and constant improvement, i you can hunt the if you can take a selfie with the animal if you can think, but we cant stand still and have the animal, it is likely hug there are Young Players coming through that we might not see the best of in the next two years, the animal, its likely that that actually, but for the long term, for animal is suffering behind closed england we need to start integrating doors in some way. They have likely them because i think this team can gone through years of training to be co nsta ntly im prove a nd evolve. Able to interact with people and train through the use of perhaps wolves have reached the Europa League group stage, they beat italian side torino 2 1 restricted methods restrictive on the night and 5 3 methods. So, if in doubt, dont go, on aggregate. Wolves are in the main phase of a European Competition for the first see wild animals in the wild where time since 1980. You can see them display their celtic will also be in todays draw authentic behaviour. Some people say lewis morgan rounded off a 4 1 second leg win against aik in sweden they go through 6 1 on aggregate. It is educational and in a sanctuary rangers are also through, role, elephants used in logging, for after they beat legia warsaw in a cracker, but the irish side linfield lost to oarabag so they are out. Example. I visited thailand a couple theres good news for the only two of years ago and i was really remaining british players interested that a lot of the tour in action at the us open. Guides, the tourists use and a lot of information people get does point Johanna Kontas into the third round, after beating the unseeded russian Margarita Gasparyan. The british number one cruised them towards sanctuaries rather than to a straight sets win in less than an hour, and will face zhang shuai next. But the wimbledon champion those old style attractions where the animals are performing or you simona halep is out, are writing them. So that is good. There is a development but if those after the American Taylor townsend attractions are still offering rides came from a set down to beat her. Or hugs or selfies, then that isnt townsend is ranked natural, wild behaviourfor those animals that people do need to exercise some control and do a 116th in the world. Little bit of research and make sure that they are seeing animals displaying natural behaviour. M and dan evans, good for him, he set up another grand slam meeting makes sense and when you explain with Roger Federer by beating lucas pouille. The Prime Minister has vowed to step up the tempo on efforts to secure a brexit compromise before britain leaves the eu on 31st october. Government negotiators will meet their counterparts in brussels twice a week in september, in a bid to break the deadlock ahead of a crucial summit in october. In a moment well speak to Damian Grammaticas who is in helsinki but first our Political CorrespondentJonathan Blake is in westminster is this enough to fend off a growing backlash over borisjohnsons decision to suspend parliament . Ita it a blustery day so much going on at the moment, the backlash that the Prime Ministers good morning, welcome facing over this suspension of to breakfast with Steph Mcgovern and jon kay. 01 00 50,844 4294966103 13 29,430 our headlines today parliament and now we here today there will be twice weekly meeting, what difference is this going to make, ifany, what difference is this going to make, if any, do you think . We will see, for all the talk of leaving the eu without a deal at the ending of october. The Prime Minister says his preferred option is to get a new deal so he say he has been encouraged with by his meetings with Emmanuel Macron and angela merkel. Officials will meet twice a week through september but downing street admits the two sides are still some distance apart on the issue of the backstop, with sip there to prevent a hard boscher if a trade deal cant be done in the future. There is a feeling these are preparatory talks to try to find some Common Ground ahead of the eu summit scheduled for mid october if there is to be a breakthrough or new agreement we expect it to be done then, one downing street official described it as not wanting to go on to the football pitch and be shown the red ca rd football pitch and be shown the red card straightaway, so, there is a tentative atmosphere round the talks at this stage, but nevertheless optimism that some kind of breakthrough can be found. Meanwhile mps here at westminster due return from their summer break preparing in ernest to try to prevent the government leaving the eu without a deal if that agreement cant be found n the face of a suspension of parliament for several weeks, after the week after next, those Opposition Mps keen to stop the government are redoubling their effo rts government are redoubling their efforts to do so, and the criticism of the Prime Ministers move to suspend parliament continues, you have been hearing from grant shapps the transport secretary on the programme this morning, he said there is nothing improper or unconstitutional. People are getting excited about it but those four days in october, to get ready for the new queens speech, seems rational to me and there is plenty of time around that, round that european summit before and after to debate whatever new has come out, i hope from this stepped up effort by the eu, and our diplomats to try to find a negotiated settlement. Opposition parties wont wait so expect a busy week ahead when they return from their break on tuesday. Let us find out what the eu do you get the same slight amount of positivity and optimism from the eu . I would sayjon not chinks of light but an open door to a meeting table, the eu is sitting there saying they are ready to talk to the uk, but what we have been hearing this morning, from a parade of eu ministers arriving here, is that nothing has been put on that table by the uk side, that would move these negotiations forward in any way, so the Irish Foreign minister, he came in and he told me he said nothing has been tabled there, but he believed that the eu would be willing to meet five days a week if necessary in the coming weeks to try to agree something, the onus though he said, and all the other eu ministers, said the onus is on the uk to come up with those ideas to put them forward and for them to be workable ideas, that deal with particularly that issue of the irish border. The Irish Foreign minister making it clear there is no way ireland will agree to anything that does not fundamentally fix that problem, which he said the current Withdrawal Agreement does, but if the uk finds it unacceptable has to present something else. The uk foreign secretary dominic raab, he came in, he said only four days are being lost. We said that is not correct because a recess has not been agreed yet. He said it is not a constitutional outrage. What about that, the idea about standing outside meetings wait for a breakthrough. Fills you with joy. Big smile. Cant wait. Doctors and nhs leaders are warning that a no deal brexit is likely to cause delays in the supply of flu vaccines this year. The nhs offers the treatment for free usually from the beginning of october to the end of november to those most at risk of the illness, including over 65s and pregnant women. The department of health says it is working closely with vaccine suppliers to ensure they have robust contingencies in place. I cant sit here and say dont worry, no deal will be fine, no one is going to come to any harm. What we can see is that we are likely to not have enough free vaccine, we are likely not to have the Vaccination Coverage that weve had in previous years, and that is likely to have an impact on the nhs. Women who take hormone replacement therapy or hrt during the menopause are at increased risk of Breast Cancer for longer than previously thought, according to a report in the medicaljournal, the lancet. Researchers at the university of oxford found that the risks last for a decade after treatment stops, rather than four years as previously thought. Our health and science correspondent, James Gallagher reports. Louise rivers started having symptoms of menopause three years ago. She said she lost her brain and was struggling to work, her joints ached, she was not sleeping well and she began to get migraines. Louise said starting hormone therapy last year was a difficult decision, but the right one. I definitely feel as if my concentration levels are back where they were years ago. I feel a lot more confident working. I still have a few bad days here and then, still get migraines, but overall i feel much better taking it than i did when i was not taking it. It has long been known that menopausal hormone therapy increases the risk of cancer. The latest study shows that the increased risk lasts over a decade since stopping the drug and the dangers are twice as high as previously thought. It means for every 50 50 year olds taking daily oestrogen and progesterone pills for five years, one would develop cancer before they turn 70. We dont want to give them false reassurance about the risks with it what we hope is that women would use this information to make a much more informed decision about whether or not they want to start taking or perhaps continue taking hrt. Louise says she found the latest findings concerning, but that she would not panic. Taking hormones improved her quality of life and she plans to chat to her consultant at their next appointment. And we will talk about this later on. A mother who won a major court case on bereavement benefits, says its shameful the government hasnt acted on the ruling a year on. Ive put for women experiencing the menopause and taking hormone therapy, the risk of Breast Cancer is something they will have discussed with their doctor. Scientists now think the increased risk of developing cancer lasts for ten years after taking medication, rather than four years as currently advised. Were joined now by the vice chair of the Royal College of gynaecologists and obstetricians, professorjanice rymer. Thank you for coming in. There is a lot of people getting in touch and asking questions about this, we will put some of those to you. Let us be clear about what we are talking about here, we are talking about hrt and the risks with it is that right . Yes, the risk of hormone replacement therapy. You can either be taking oestrogen, perhaps if you have had a hysterectomy or oestrogen and another one. This is for particularly the risk associated about women who are menopausal. That is right. So the overries are stopped working so they get symptom, night sweat, not sleeping well, risk of osteoporosis when you havent got oestrogen round. It is interesting what you were talking about the possibility of the combined treatment, the single treatment. A question from carol. She says are the risks for Breast Cancer as high if you are on hrt that contains only one hormone, if you have previously had a hysterectomy. Hysterectomy. Yes, you usual only need to be on oestrogen alone and the risk, being on oestrogen is less than being on oestrogen is less than being on oestrogen and projest ron. You have to have that to protect the lining of the womb if you are taking hormone replacement therapy. The thing that struck me from all the m essa g es thing that struck me from all the messages coming in, you did a great Facebook Live earlier, it feels complicated back, even seems to have different symptoms, different. Complicated back, even seems to have different symptoms, different. Ij think different symptoms, different. I think it is very complicated. I mean, this paper has come from one of the best you nits in the world, soiam of the best you nits in the world, so i am not going to argue with the figures but that is the problem, they are looking at figures, as clinicians we are looking at women, so when you have a woman in front of you who feels dreadful because she has gone through the menopause, then you need to helper. She needs to make the decision do i want to feel better do i want a better quality of life. Do i want to have protection against cardiovascular disease and protect my bone, that is important. You say if you take it for long term, greater than five years there may be an increased risk of developing Breast Cancer, once again n the study, they havent looked atle all mortality, they have talked about the diagnosis being increased but not all cause mortality, there was a great paper two years ago from the whi studies, they looked at 18 yea rs the whi studies, they looked at 18 years follow up and showed there was no difference. So, yes, this is a paper, it helps us but it confirms really what we knee knew, although it does say that the risk may continue after you have stopped hrt, and that is useful information to talk to women about. So what do you say, then, to women who have menopausal symptoms and they are watching this going, where does that leave me . The first thing is dont panic. You need to speak to your gp and talk about your individual symptoms, whether or not you should be on heather and what your risks might be. I think we always say that if you are going to take. Co. Ed hrt for greater than five year there is isa for greater than five year there is is a slightly increased risk of the diagnosis of Breast Cancer, but you have to put that in perspective. If you are fat, your risk is higher thanif you are fat, your risk is higher than if you are going on the to hrt for five years, so this all has to be put in perspective. Angela has beenin be put in perspective. Angela has been in touch. She says she is going through this decision at the moment. She is weighing up the pros and con, she says i have heard taking hrt doesnt see you through the menopause it postpones it and it will return as soon as you stop the treatment. Is that the case, she says . I think it is very variable. Each woman is different. Some may ta ke each woman is different. Some may take it for a few years and stop and they feel fine. So may come off and get a rebound of symptoms and mostly those women say forget this, my quality of life is lousy again, i am going back on to hrt, i accept what you are saying about the slightly increased risk of developing Breast Cancer. So are there alternative . There are. I think it depends on your symptoms as to what alternative your symptoms as to what alternative you might choose. An antidepressant ata you might choose. An antidepressant at a low dose can have effect on the hot flush, there is an anti hyper ten sieve that can have an effect on the flushes, you need to get Lifestyle Changes going, you need to watch your weights, have a normal bmi, good diet, all those things and there are complementary therapies round, but actually i believe you know, if you are oestrogen deficient you want to replace what is missing, so hrt. Thank you so much for coming in to talk to us, thanks for the Facebook Live page. People will be able to have a look at that still. Thank you, lovely to see you. Keep the questions come, menopause is a subject we have dealt with a lot and a lot of you feel it has not been dealt with very much in the past, so, yeah, no taboos here. Heres nick with a look at this mornings weather. What a glorious picture, it is yorkshire. Home for me and not too far away, i was born in york. It is a lovely start to the day. A bit of sun coming through the cloud. A chance of seeing a bit of rain, it is across the northern half of the uk, seeing most of cloud and the chance, Northern England, scotland, Northern Ireland. Over the weekend, we end up with sunshine and shower, and it will be turning cooler. The next three days, this is how today is shaping up. This weather system sitting to the north west, 24 hours it is sitting here, giving rain at time, moves south on saturday with showers following, because of the position of that weather system, scotland, especially to the west, Northern Ireland seeing rain at times today, parts of north west england, especially cumbria, could see into north wales, but there will be drier spells in eastern scotland, north east england but much of yorkshire, the midlands, east anglia, southern england south wales will stay mainly dry. We are still in the mid 20s but where you have the rain we are into the teens it is windy with that as well. Gusts maybe in excess of 40mph in places. Now into tonight, the rain is set the turn heavier in Northern Ireland and western and northern scotland, some greens appearing here, that is the intense city of the rain coming through, it will be mainly dry overnight in england and wales, most holding up into double figure, so the picture for the start of the weekend, still has that weather system close to the north west of the uk, it is beginning to move southwards, taking the rain further southwards, taking the rain further south during saturday, but before that happens, rain total also have mounted across parts of Northern Ireland, western and northern scotla nd ireland, western and northern scotland overnight and into the morning, met Office Yellow weather warnings, a range of totals on offer, the higher part will be over the hills but there will be standing water around to start the day tomorrow. But the rain quickly clearing away from Northern Ireland, pulling away from western scotland during the morning, feeding across the rest of scotland and this narrowing band of rain pushing southwards across england and wales, a brief spell of rain has the moves on through with sunshine following on through with sunshine following on behind. In the sunshine that follows behind there could be the odd shower, temperatures come down a few degree is. But the main football tea m few degree is. But the main Football Team for the second half of the weekend is cooler air filtering south across the uk, the cooler colours on a north westerly breeze. So breezy day on sunday, and yes, there will be sunshine on offer, but showers will get going, initially across scotland, Northern Ireland, Northern England filtering south east ward and if you catch a shower it could be heavy and thundery as well. And look at the temperatures. Sunday first day of september, meteorological autumn, and the weather looks like it is in the mood for autumn as the weekend comes to a close. Im not in the mood for autumn, nick. Comes to a close. Im not in the mood forautumn, nick. No, iwant comes to a close. Im not in the mood for autumn, nick. No, i want a bit more summer yet. Thank you nick, see you later. It is the kind of wet your look out and you think i was wish i was back where i went for my holidays. For some people who are moved to the eu, they have going through the dilemma of brexit. There is health care and pensions issue, we thought we would checkin pensions issue, we thought we would check in with expats to find out what they are thinking about. Breakfasts tim muffett on the Costa Del Sol for us this morning. I looks gorgeous, that looks like one of those photoshopped back group drops it is so nice. It isa drops it is so nice. It is a backbench drop i can assure you. This beautiful weather is the reason why many people want to live in spain. 300,000 nationals are registered here, 70,000 are pensioner, as brexit approaches there there are real concerns as to what impact a no deal brexit could have on their access to the Spanish Health care system. We have been speaking to some of them. We have been speaking to some of them. Under the spanish sun, dave is sweating on events in brussels and westminster. Good to meet you. Hi, good to meet you too. How do you feel you been treated by the British Government . Drea dfully. I think if id treated a dog the same way, id have been in court. What theyve told us has been half truths, lies, misdirections. It seems to change week by week. Dave moved to almeria in andalusia in 2004. He has parkinsons disease and has had two heart attacks. Like other british pensioners, he has been able to Access Health care in another eu country but the chance of a no deal brexit has changed things. This is a cardiac drug. That drug is for parkinsons. If its a no deal brexit, you do not know for sure whether you can access these medicines. I cant get them without prescription, any of them. The cost of medicines alone is around 700 euros a month. I cant afford it. Something would have to give. Im wondering, you know, is it worth going on . If i lose my health care, wouldnt it be easier to just die . Even if there is a no deal brexit, both the british and Spanish Governments have said they want to carry on offering a Reciprocal Health care agreement to pensioners from both countries but nothing yet has been formalised and it is that uncertainty which many are finding so unsettling. My battle with cancer has been hampered by actually having a fight with brexit as well. Lisa moved to spain three years ago and is undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer. Expats have been advised to register for spanish residency. Lisa says her application has been rejected on a technicality even though she has been here for three years. If i dont have residency, i dont have my health care rights. Do you fear if there is a no deal exit, your treatment could effectively stop . Yes, of course it could i mean, suddenly countries can decide they dont like each other too much. Its unlikely but so was prorogation and this is why the panic and the anxiety is rising. Others are confident things will be sorted. Neil runs a support group for expats. There is no question in my mind that britain and spain would want an agreement. Before spain evenjoined the eu 30 35 years ago, there were lots of different agreements between britain and spain over health care, pension rights, workers rights, but no government is going to let people not be covered, its just not going to happen. People here expect to feel the heat but as brexit gets nearer, the questions keep coming. The reason why many the reason why many the British Government has announced a£3 the British Government has announced a £3 million funding package to help british citizen living in the eu to help register their residency, this morning we are in the wigan bar in Costa Del Sol. I am joined by the mayor of benalmadena. It is such a difficult issue, how important are british people to this area . Well, they are a Big Community here, so it is very important for us not to stay safe, calm, you know, almost 30 of the population here for english resident, from the 30 , the Big Community is the British Community for it is about 4200 registered british people, right now, here. What should british people do if they live in spain . Right now, we, all the situation, i will say that it is important to be registered, because it is the only way to have all the services and to have the access to the health care, and to get the possibility to vote in elections and a lot of different rights it is only possible if you are registered, if grow are resident here in spain. Do you think there will be an agreement between the uk and spain to formalise access to health care . I dont know what is going to happen tomorrow, i hope, so i hope the two countries get an agreement about how the people can live not only for the british people that live here in the coast, here in spain, also for the spanish people, that live in great britain. Victor, thank you so much. Sue, do you think a lot of people are changing their mind as to the way they voted in the referendum . Personally, from speaking to customers, some are changing their mind. I dont know whether it is a lot, but some of them definitely are wishing that they had voted the other way because of all the an certainty that it has brought. What impact is this having on those who live here . The people certainly the people who are pensioner, who arent in the system, myself, i am pensioner, who arent in the system, myself, iam in pensioner, who arent in the system, myself, i am in the system, i pensioner, who arent in the system, myself, iam in the system, i paid the taxes, i pay my social security, im hoping that im going to be safe. I am a permanent resident, but people that havent got the residence here, that havent changed each their driving license to a spanish driving license, etc, they are worried some arent even in the position to get residency here. Thank you. So many things to talk about and think about. One thing is for certain, the weather here is beautiful, as i said earlier and thatis beautiful, as i said earlier and that is one of the reasons many people wanted to move here in the first place. As we talk about brexit and the impact it will have on those living here, let us have a quick catch up on the new, the weather and the travel where you are watching good morning. The southern half of the uk will have a fine, dry day, breezy with spells of hazy sunshine. For the northern half, we got a weather front draped across Northern Ireland and up into scotland. Some blustery conditions here as well. Gradually, the rain slips further southwards coming to north west england and north wales. It should brighten up for the far north of scotland, but the best of the fine, dry weather will be across much of england and wales. It will feel warm, with highs of 25 celsius. The rain is relentless and it continues to pile into night, with some heavy bursts affecting similar areas. Our band of rain starts to pivot, so it will edge into western fringes of the uk as we head towards dawn. A mild start for most of us. Through saturday, our band of rain is on the move. Gradually working its way eastwards, fragmenting as it does so and narrowing, reaching the far south and east later in the day. Behind it, it will start to brighten up. Feeling fresher, with some heavy can potentially thundery showers. This is business live from bbc news with ben bland and victoria fritz. Bracing for impact.
