It could mean an end to separating liquids and electronics. Borisjohnson will have his first face to face meeting with donald trump since becoming Prime Minister at the g7 summit in france. Coming up in the Sport England fight back to keep their ashes hopes alive, with capatinjoe root at the heart of it in the third test at headingley. Good morning. In the weather, its a stunning sunday on the way and for many of us that will be even hotter than yesterday. How long will it last . Ive got the forecast. Join me later. Its sunday, 25th august. Our top story sd baggage scanners will be introduced at every airport in the uk by 2022, under government plans announced today. Ministers say the technology will cut queues, boost security and will mean passengers will no longer have to remove laptops and liquids from their luggage as it is screened. Our Business Correspondent katy austin reports. A familiar site to air travellers clear plastic bags to put your small liquids in while you go through airport security. Laptops must be put in a separate tray. Airports in some countries, particularly america, are already starting to use new, high tech scanners for hand luggage. Heathrow in london is investing £50 million in similar equipment, saying it could remove the needs for liquids and electricals to be taken out. It will be much quicker, less disruptive, not having to take things out of bags, and people will be able to get on their way much more quickly. But it will also bring more security, which is really important. Now, all uk airports are being told they must have advanced 3d scanners by 2022. It is important we are using the best technology, we will have the best in the world once this is rolled out. 0ne travel expert says passengers will notice a difference. Imagine this you are at security, you have forgotten to take out all your stuff, so that means your bag full of liquids, then you have your computer, and maybe a telephone. You have to take it all out and put each one and a separate tray. All of that takes time. Even though we say to ourselves, im ready, by the time we get the security most of us realise that we are not ready and there is a lot of faffing that takes place. Heathrow believes the new technology could make going through security up to 60 times faster. But introducing it could be a challenge for smaller airports. Well discuss that with someone from the airport 0perators association in a few minutes time. In the last hour, borisjohnson met donald trump for the first time as Prime Minister at the g7 summit of World Leaders in france. Hes expected to warn the president that the us must compromise if it wants a trade deal with the uk by lifting restrictions on british businesses. Ros atkins is live in biarritz for us this morning. This meeting has been taking place, a p pa re ntly this meeting has been taking place, apparently there were 18 other people in the room. Do we know what was discussed . Roger, we are starting to get some details about what was discussed and what was said. We are looking out for any clues as to the direction any trade negotiations may take. Boris johnson. Sorry, donald trump said we will be able to make a trade deal quickly. This is in context of an earlier comment from Boris Johnson saying that he needs the americans to compromise. We highlighted pork pies, english wine, pillows, cauliflower. Mr trump is not known for compromise, but he says the street or can be done quickly. Do not normally done quickly. Another significant thing is the Prime Minister saying that the nhs will not be part of these trade negotiations and that donald trump has agreed to that. That was a big issue a couple of months back. The rapport between these two men is good. They have known each other for some time and they appear to get along. However the connection between what donald trump says about what is going to do in the future and what he actually does is not a lwa ys and what he actually does is not always completely close. We need to bear that in always completely close. We need to bearthat in mind. Always completely close. We need to bear that in mind. Introduce the opening skirmishes and what will be a long and detailed negotiation. The Brazilian Military has begun a major operation to tackle the fires in the amazon rainforest. Aircraft loaded with water and firefighting chemicals have been dispatched to the Northern State of rondonia, which is one of the worst affected regions. 0ur correspondent will grant was on board a greenpeace plane which flew over the area. From this Vantage Point you get a sense of the scale of the disaster facing this region of the amazon. Hectare after hectare of pristine forestjust going up in smoke. There must be thousands of hectares already, and it is a huge task for the troops who are supposedly reaching this region, and who are going to try to tackle the problem, sent by president bolsonaro. This is the reason for the protests taking place in the large cities of brazil, in sao paulo, brasilia, and rio. This has also caused the international outcry. This is a global crisis, because these are considered the lungs of the world. And just on a human level, and an emotional level almost, it is extremely upsetting, extremely disturbing, to see this kind of devastation unfolding in front of you. That was will grant reporting. The head of the National Body for Police Bosses is calling for harsher sentences for people who attack officers. Katy bourne, who is the new chair of the association of police and crime commissioners, says anyone who hurts one should go to prison, no ifs, no buts. It comes after the killing of pc Andrew Harper last week. The British Paralympic Association says it has serious concerns about the number of accessible rooms available at next years games in tokyo. This weekend marks a year to go until the opening ceremony. 0ur disability correspondent nikki foxjoins us now. Youve been in tokyo for the last week. Is it ready for the 2020 games . Well, the metro was dandy there are a lot of accessibility issues apart from that. We know that the British Paralympic Association had real trouble finding any Accessible Hotel Rooms here. They said they are still concerned. I had a scooter rides. I went to a hotel that did have accessible rooms. They had loads of high tech fancy gadgets, raised beds, raised chair. At the bathroom, when i went in, it was not suitable for wheelchair users. The team and i struggle to get somewhere to eat when we first came because there are steps. We did bring a. Ramp with us and we were well prepared stop the good news is, ticket sales went on sale on thursday, and they have sold atan sale on thursday, and they have sold at an unprecedented rate. 0bviously, events like this are heading to spread the message that the paralympics is coming in a year. She has brought some great language this morning, a fancy pants hotel, a dandy metro system thousands of people took to the streets of manchester to watch the annual pride parade yesterday. There are some people who use pills photos use pills for depression who might question that, but people i know who love their gardening would say it does give you an emotional lift. New 3d baggage scanners, aimed at reducing queues and boosting security, must be in place at all uk airports before the end of 2022. Ministers say the measures will mean passengers no longer have to bag up liquids or take out laptops for screening. Henk van klaveren from the airport 0perators association is in birmingham for us this morning. Good morning to you. The Airport Operators are going to have to foot the bill to make this all happen. Do you welcome at airports have been investing in improving the Passenger Experience for some time, so anything that helps to do that is positive. I do think that for a smaller airport in particular, with the cost of the equipment and changes that need to be made in a relatively short timeline, cost is certainly an impact and i hope the government will show some flexibility on the deadline, so that airports can do this on the right way. Give us an idea, the big airport you would expect, heathrow, gatwick, manchester, glasgow, they will do it as quickly as possible and have the money to do it. What is the cut off for the size of airport that has to install this kind of machine . As we understand that at the moment, the cut off will be 1 million passengers. That captures most of the airports that viewers will be travelling through. It is not just about the equipment. The equipment is larger and heavier than the equipment we use today, so airports will need to look at their Swimming Hole and make sure that it all fits. That could well be structural changes that are needed. How much will this cost your members . It depends on the work that they have to do. Several millions of pounds for the smallest, tens of millions for the largest. What will passengers notice different . The equipment allows us to see inside the bag in a different way. Currently, it is a very two dimensional image. In future, the equipment will allow us to see all around the bag. For example, if you see something that might look a bit suspicious, now you would have to say we need to do a hand search. In the future, it could mean that we could flip the image around and see that it could flip the image around and see thatitis could flip the image around and see that it is ok, we can take that three or, no, there is still something there. From a passenger perspective, hopefully you will have to ta ke perspective, hopefully you will have to take out your bag less often. Hopefully the government will allow us hopefully the government will allow us to keep laptops and liquid in the bag. They havent said that yet, but we are hoping that will be the case. In terms of liquids, there is a hundred millilitre limit will you be able to take a big bottle of water on board, for example . It depends how the government will implement that. We are starting with the equipment. From the report we heard earlier, at heathrow they have been trialling some of this equipment. 0nce trialling some of this equipment. Once we understand more about that the government will make a decision about what liquids can be kept in the bag. Hopefully, we will be able to have larger bottles, but that is not clear at this stage. It may be quicker, you may not get rid of the queueing altogether because there is a bit ofa queueing altogether because there is a bit of a logjam. It is very important that passengers travelling this weekend, 3. 5 million passengers travelling to uk airports this weekend, they still have to do that, putting liquids into clear plastic bags. 0ur regulator release figures that say the people on average will ta ke that say the people on average will take you about 5 7 minutes at security. That is a relatively short time. It is inconvenient and anything that helps us improve that, like this potential equipment, is a positive. The bigger airports are expected to foot the bill. They could be a delay for some of the smaller airports. Will the government help foot the bill . |j think government help foot the bill . think we have to have some discussions with government over how they want us to implement that. They have made the announcement today, so we can start the conversation now. Thanks for talking to us. Loads of implications, especially for smaller airports. Heres nick with a look at this mornings weather. If you are staying at home for your holidays, you are doing very well. You have the sunshine and the warmth right in your backyard. This is another one of our views from this morning, just a bit of patchy cloud here and there. There will be some sunshine, albeit hazy in places today. If anything, for many of us it will feel hotter than it did yesterday. Lets take a look at the satellite picture as it has evolved. There are some areas of cloud arounds. This is the latest image here. It is not clear blue sky. A lot of the cloud is thin and high, along the sun chang to penetrate it. We are expecting more cloud in the channel islands, South West England, west wales, the isle of man. More today for scotland and Northern Ireland compared to yesterday. It is a very warm to hot look across the uk. 28 in glasgow. We are up to the low 30s in london. Forget that high, it will be a record for the Bank Holiday Weekend here in the uk. Into the bank holiday, we will see some cloud developing across the western side of the uk more widespread as we go through the night and into the morning. There will be some fog patches are run, as well. There will be some parts with Poor Visibility tomorrow morning. Some areas of cloud around, some hazy sunshine. There is the chance of a few showers heading towards cornwall and devon later in the day. This weather system will cool things in Northern Ireland and scotland compared to today. The higher temperatures really to be found in the eastern side of england, some spots into the low 30s. 0r side of england, some spots into the low 30s. Or a side of england, some spots into the low 30s. 0ra bank side of england, some spots into the low 30s. Or a bank holiday, we are in pretty good shape. Things get more complicated and cooler as we go on through the week. For tuesday, it probably will look exactly like this but the time we captured, but this will give you some idea. Showers, possibly thunderstorms, heading up from the south. This weather front will move across the uk through the rest of the week and bring those temperatures down. We are getting the best of the sunshine and warmth over the weekend. That is exactly how it should be if youve missed the exploits of birminghams best known tv crime family, then fear not Peaky Blinders is back on our screens tonight. The hit drama has built up quite a cult following since its flat capped gangsters first burst onto our screens in 2013. Alex humphreys has been to see where the series is shot, to find out more. The train to london leaves in an hour. Arthur, michael. They are the Peaky Blinders and, yep, they are about to return. If you have not been watching the series, then where have you been . It sparked a cult following and a trend for wearing flat caps, not only in the uk, but across the world. And now tourists come to places like this, the Black CountryLiving Museum in dudley to see where some of it is filmed. The lead character is birmingham gangster tommy shelby, played by cilian murphy. But what do you do when you cant get hold of cilian . Look who i found it is tommy shelby well, its not tommy shelby, but i am sure you guys would agree it looks a lot like him. Now, scott, are a lookalike, arent you . Yep. A very fine lookalike i might add. Should we go and have a chat . Yeah, sure. It started off in the local pub. A barmaid in the pub, she said, on my days, you look like this guy whos in this film, so i googled it and i couldnt believe how much i looked like him. It was a bit strange. So, what do people do when they come up to you . A bit of a mix. Some of them obviously know i am a lookalike. Some think its him. It happened this morning. Even the taxidriver that dropped me off somewhere, hes like, oh, can i have a picture, cilian . Yeah, it is a bit strange. Cilian thats funny i thought it was actually him. I got so excited. Were you expecting to see tommy shelby in this yard here . A little bit. Oh, you were . I was looking forward to it. I am from palestine. So, how big of a deal is Peaky Blinders back where you are from . It is a big deal, actually. Is it . Yeah, people like it so much, and they start to dress alike and even the actor, we thought, like, its really him. It is notjust filming locations that have seen a boost in popularity. Now many people want to dress like a peaky blinder. This is actually the piece that they wear a lot in the show. Some people have never worn hats before and this show has made them feel a lot more comfortable and confident. And would you say that the majority of your customers come in for this reason . Yeah, i think about 60 of the guys come in because of the show. Really . Yeah. Fashion, tourism and massive murals of fan art. One thing is certain many will be watching by order of the Peaky Blinders. Flat ca ps flat caps are cool. They have never really gone away. Youre watching breakfast from bbc news. Time now for a look at the papers. Lots of the front pages look ahead to borisjohnsons meeting with donald trump at the g7 summit in france later. The sunday telegraph reports that the Prime Minister has already laid out terms for a trade deal in a phone call to the president on friday. The sunday express says that a uk us trade deal is done and an agreement is ready to be signed next month. Meanwhile, the observer claims that borisjohnson has sought legal advice about shutting down parliament for five weeks, as part of a plan to stop mps from trying to block a no deal brexit. Downing street has denied these claims. Theres also a photo of President Trump greeting the Us Ambassador to france. Finally, away from politics, the sunday mirror leads on a story about prince harry paying tribute after the death of a friend. Catherine isaac is here to tell us whats caught her eye. Lets start with one of our papers, speculation in the sunday telegraph that electricity cost could be driven out. Our review was announced of the hs2 rail network. We have been talking about it for so long, now we dont even know if it is going to happen. The main issue is the spiralling cost. There are nice and the budget is standing at 55 billion. Borisjohnson and the budget is standing at 55 billion. Boris johnson is and the budget is standing at 55 billion. Borisjohnson is saying it could go up to 100 billion. This story in the sunday telegraph is saying that scottishpower have said it will require an additional £35 million for consumers to increase the size of its power lines so we can meet the extra demand. I never thought i would be saying that 35 million doesnt sound like very much, but compared with 100 billion it isa much, but compared with 100 billion it is a drop in the ocean. It amounts to about 75p per household. It will be interesting to see what happens. There is this other argument being put forward that the money might be better spent on upgrading Cross CountryRail Services in the north of england instead of the vast amounts being spent on hs2. Instead of the vast amounts being spent on h52. Lots of people who have moved out of their houses, sold them. We have already spent 600 million buying up houses on the roots. It could be wasteful to u turn at this point. Staying with financial matters, this is in the mail on sunday. Ten cashpoints are being scrapped every day. I presume thatis being scrapped every day. I presume that is because we are turning away from cash and everybody is co nta ctless from cash and everybody is contactless or juice from cash and everybody is contactless orjuice their phones or watches. We are so used to tapping our cards on watches. We are so used to tapping ourcards ona watches. We are so used to tapping our cards on a Little Machine we are effectively becoming a cashless society. There are certain towns and villages in the uk that you have to goa villages in the uk that you have to go a very long way to try to find a cashpoints. It is of particular concern for elderly people. They have given the example of the east sussex town of battle which has no cash point. You have to travel six miles to be able to get hold of any actual real money. When you go to the canteen here in the bbc, people pay on their phones, their watches. Im the odd one out that gives them cash they look a bit shocked. I can barely remember a pin number because they use contact us so much. A story in the observer encouraging volu nteers in the observer encouraging volunteers to help gp practices give advice to people. This is all because the gm withdrew the label for Great Britain as being a measles free country. They re for Great Britain as being a measles free country. Theyre coming up with all kinds of proposals to try to cou ntera ct all kinds of proposals to try to counteract the effects of this. It isa counteract the effects of this. It is a shocking statistic really, but we we re is a shocking statistic really, but we were all preparing our children to go back to school in a week and there will be 30,000 children who are now going to be starting primary is with no protection against measles whatsoever. It throws up questions about the nhs increasingly leaning on volunteers and lots of areas. It is one of many proposals they are considering. They are also talking about urging social Media Companies to try to clamp down on all these anti vaccine messages which have had a big effect. 0ne reason for the jump is which have had a big effect. 0ne reason for thejump is it is which have had a big effect. 0ne reason for the jump is it is very difficult to do much about the fact that the disease is now so prevalent in the rest of the world and in europe, we are all travelling so much it is almost inevitable that it will rise here, as well. One expert said we only achieved measles three status three years ago and we have lost it already. Ed sheeran is on the mail on sunday. What have lauren, josh, nick and zachary all got in common . They are all part of ands inner circle, and is there are a lwa ys ands inner circle, and is there are always hold schoolmates. He hasjust completed a tour in which he has performed in front of 8. 5 million people. He still says he suffers from social anxiety, which you might find quite surprising given that statistic. He is saying that because of this, when he is out on this tour, and this one has been 893 days. He says he feels the need to surround himself by his friends. They are all on his payroll, one chef, one videographer, one is described as a confidant. May be a good sounding board. If i surrounded myself by my School Friends i will get nothing done. Thank you. Well be back with a summary of the mornings main news injust a moment. Stay with us. Hello, this is breakfast with Nina Warhurst and rogerjohnson. Its just gone 8 30am. Heres a summary of this mornings main news. 3d baggage scanners will be introduced at every airport in the uk before the end of 2022, under government plans announced today. Ministers say the technology which will be similar to ct scanners used in hospitals will cut queues, boost security and will mean passengers will no longer have to remove laptops and liquids from their luggage as its screened. In the last hour, Boris Johnson met donald trump for the first time as Prime Minister at the g7 summit of World Leaders in france. Hes expected to warn the president that the us must compromise if it wants a trade deal with the uk by lifting restrictions on british businesses. Mrjohnson will also hold talks with Eu Council President , donald tusk. I dont think theres going to be a lot of brexit on the agenda for this meeting because there is other World Leaders there like the japanese and canadian Prime Minister and donald trump and Boris Johnson canadian Prime Minister and donald trump and borisjohnson has canadian Prime Minister and donald trump and Boris Johnson has to walk a bit ofa trump and Boris Johnson has to walk a bit of a title because he wants to show he has a Good Relationship with donald trump, obviously, talk trade as you said,. Equally he wont want to be co opted into a two against five position because donald trump can be quite aggressively antique the eu and that will be Boris Johnson s agenda, i dont think. And that wont be. The Brazilian Military has begun a major operation to tackle the fires in the amazon rainforest. Planes loaded with water and firefighting chemicals have been dispatched to the Northern State of rondonia, which is one of the worst affected regions. The government has promised to relax its strict austerity policies and release extra funds for the emergency. The head of the National Body for Police Bosses is calling for harsher sentences for people who attack officers. Katy bourne, whos the new chair of the association of police and crime commissioners, says anyone who hurts one should go to prison, no ifs, no buts. It comes after the killing of pc Andrew Harper last week. The British Paralympic Association says it has serious concerns about the number of accessible rooms available at next years games in tokyo. 0rganisers say they need another 300 but that the problem will be sorted in time. This weekend marks a year to go until the opening ceremony. More than 4,000 athletes from over 160 countries will compete. Thousands of people took to the streets of manchester to watch the annual pride parade yesterday. Celebrations are taking place all weekend, with Ariana Grande headlining todays activities. Its herfirst time performing in the city since the concert to remember the victims of the arena attack in 2017. If you are up to date. Its 8 33am. Here of a certain age will remember headingley, great hairdos back then. Solid mullets. Yes, literally solid. Amazing turnaround in a test match. Can Lightning Strike twice . This is it, where there is hope, england have given their fans. A bit of a surprise, capitulation from england in the first innings, what are they going to produce . Show a little bit of fight. Joe root is there, 75 not out, Great Partnership withjoe denley, he made 50, says england are in witha denley, he made 50, says england are in with a shout. They need a couple of hundred. Not impossible. It will be the highest run chase in england s history. It goes to show how tough it could be. If they can get there. Why not, it can happen, its board. Thats why we enjoy it. Got to have a bit of belief. Yesterday we were saying how it was all but over for england. No doubt australia are still the favourites, but there is some hope. 203 runs needed, with two days remaining. Andy swiss was at headingley. Just a few hours earlier, it would have been unthinkable. Englands captain cheered from the field with his teams ashes hopes still alive. Earlier, australias batsmen seemed to have ended them as they extended their lead. Marnus labuschagne exhibiting his skill and his courage. Struck on the helmet byjofra archer, he was cleared to continue and made 80. By the time archer wrapped up the innings, englands hopes seemed over. The target, 359. Huge, but it soon seemed even huger. Rory burns quickly went, before jason roy was bamboozled by a beauty. At 15 2, england were staring at humiliation, but finally some resistance. The twojoes, denly and root, combining to impressive effect. A flicker of hope, perhaps, as they both reached their half centuries, headingly was starting to believe. Joe denly finally went, gloving one behind, but crucially, joe root continues. While he is at the crease anything is possible. Well, england have shown some welcome fight, it still might not be enough to rescue them all the ashes. But the fans hopes are still hanging on. Take a look at this brilliant goal from liverpools mo salah as they beat arsenal. Receiving the ball with his back to goal he just brushed off the defender with pace to burn before firing home. He added a second from the penalty spot, to make it three wins from three, extending their run of Consecutive League Wins to 12, equalling their record from 1990. Worth pointing out a year in which lioverpool won their last league title. I didnt see a bad player tonight, or one who played under his level. It was really good, and there was one tackle that was incredible. Completely clean, winning the ball and passing it pretty much with your bum on the floor, still passing the ball, that was incredible. So yes, sensational. Bit of a sickener for Manchester United against palace, having missed a penalty at 1 0 down they equalised with a minute to play against, only for Patrick Van Aanholt to win it deep in injury time it was rashford who missed the penalty, he was subjected to online racist abuse afterwards, the fourth incident in two weeks. Twitter have said theyre meeting with Manchester United to outline what theyre doing to tackle it. Its unheard of and we need to stop it, it needs to stop. Because, no, i am just lost for words, if it keeps going. We keep having all these campaigns, no to racism, and they still keep hiding behind Fake Identities so its just crazy that we are talking about this in 2019. Chelsea have their first win of the season and Tammy Abraham to thank for it. He got the winner, scoring twice in a 3 2 win over norwich. Chelsea fielding their youngest line up in the premier league since 1994. Feels good, because this is a tough place to come but i think our performances at times havent given us performances at times havent given us would be desert from the first few games but today we got what we deserved. We could have won by more, we dominated some parts of the game against a very strong side so im happy with that. In the scottish premiership, celtic and rangers play today, yesterday there were wins for motherwell and livingston while the games at kilmarnock and hibernian ended in draws. In the challenge cup final we saw a big upset, st helens who were overweheming faviourties were beaten by warrington who came out on top 18 1; in what was a hot day at wembley. After two quick tries daryl clark made sure of the win. Saints left frustrated by some controversial refereeing decisions. But great scenes for the players and fans, as wolves avenged last years surprise defeat to catalans dragons. The only time im lost for words. The only time im lost for words. The whole squad this week, theres been a buzz around it, theres been a bit of talk about some players not playing. The plan was outstanding. This bunch of boys, there are special. I cant believe it. Yeah, special indeed, over at twickenham england thrashed ireland in their world cup warm up match, but head coach eddiejones doesnt think his side are ready to win the tournament despite their largest ever victory against ireland 57 15 it finished. Manu tuilagi crossing here for one of their eight tries. Englands final warm up match is against italy at St James Park next month before the tournament begins in 27 days time injapan. And scotland bounced back too after their recent defeat to france, they won the return match at murrayfield 17 111. A chris harris try in the second half sealing the win Dina Asher Smith can begin making plans for the world athletics championships next month. She booked her place in the british team after winning the 100 metres at the uk athletics championships with the event doubling up as trials for the World Championship in doha. She won in 10. 96 seconds a new championship record. Making it look easy as she so often does. Very differnt in the mens race, take a look how close this was. 0jie edobboren edging out adam gemili and zharnel hughes, all three finished with the same time, the result settled on a photo finish. All three should make the british team. Reigning champion marc marquez will start in pole position for todays moto gp british grand prix. But home favourite Cal Crutchlow has work to do. He will start from ninth after crashing during qualifying yesterday. Thankfully, he wasnt injured. No such problems for marquez as he held off Valentino Rossi to claim pole for todays race at silverstone. And take a look at these pictures at golfs tour championship in atlanta where play had to be suspended after a number of people were injured by Lightning Strikes near a fan zone. Six fans were treated, all were 0k after they were hit by debris from the strike. Only two groups had completed the third round prior to the weather delay with Justin Thomas at the top of the leaderbaord. Rory michael wrote going well, just a shot back, play resuming 8am local time. Rory michael roy. Probably sensible to say no more plate today, if thats going on, you wouldnt want to be stuck out there any longer than you wanted to be. John, thank you. Sticking with the sport for a moment and while the ashes series continues to be pretty stressful for english fans, the tournament has definitely inspired people to give cricket a go. 0ne version of the game is getting more and more popular. You dont need a bat, or stumps, to play swing cricket. Just a playground swing and a ball. Mike bushell has been to hampshire to rediscover a game he played as a young boy. An empty swing and the spirit of cricket, sometimes new sports add a twist to existing ones. But in fact swing cricket isnt new, my friend pete and i were playing at nearly every day as kids back in the 70s. And now i have noticed it making a comeback. And especially in a place where a normal sports couldnt really be played, not enough room here for cricket or football in a pub garden in hampshire, especially with people enjoying their drinks nearby but swing cricket is flourishing of course to play properly you need a bigger space, a of course to play properly you need a biggerspace, a proper of course to play properly you need a bigger space, a proper park of course to play properly you need a bigger spgce, a proper park with of course to play properly you need a bigger space, a proper park with a swing. Be careful with other park users, make your own boundaries, your own page, the swing being the wicket, you aim for the player s tummy. In too bad to help spread the word came former hampshire cricketer. How word came former hampshire cricketer how often do you see children with a bad instance, you dont see it, do you . But this is combining something they like with cricket. 16 . 1 6 . Happy with the team score, not happy with that shot the rules are very simple, you throw a football or slightly smaller football, the person on the swing tries to kick it away, if they get caught itself, or if it hits them in the midriff, thats out as well. But the next bull, revenge, sometimes bad luck is what gets you out. Its one of my favourite sports. You can play at anytime, anywhere, all you need is a ball and swing. Say someone like foot ball ball and swing. Say someone like football and the other person like cricket its a way to mix it together and have fun. And in this ashes summer it was apt that facing the side was an Australian Club player. I grew up playing all forms of cricket in the back garden, doesnt matter what it was as long as it involved a ball and boundaries. We were happy. His side needed 83 to win, thanks mainly to a top score of 39 from ma. You dont have to be that all to get good points because im quite small. And i could hit it. But emmas runs will prove crucial as james made a breakthrough. And all the time the hope of being this will entice more youngsters into playing real cricket with a bat. I thought it would be quite boring because it has cricket in it but its really fun. Its good for the core. Thats if you dont come of the swing as i nearly did. That definitely bounced of a different bit of the leg that was intended. Its good for your core, good to know, all this training he will be going through to get ready for strictly come dancing. will be going through to get ready for strictly come dancing. I like how he managed to place it in a pub garden. Funny that . So good to see kevinjames, garden. Funny that . So good to see kevin james, lovely garden. Funny that . So good to see kevinjames, lovely bloke, competitive, playing with a bunch of kids ina competitive, playing with a bunch of kids in a beer garden in his fights. Always the competitor a couple of professional sports people sitting on the sofa with this, we are about to introduce them to you. Its exactly a year to go until the Paralympic Games in tokyo. More than four thousand athletes from over 160 countries will compete in the japanese capital, with para badminton and para taekwondo added to the programme for the first time. Were joined now by two people who hope to be there t42 200 meter paralympic champion, richard whitehead, and para taekwondo world champion, amy truesdale. Thank you both are coming in. Nice to see you. Obviously, neither of you fancy swing cricket, dont blame you weve been speaking to nicky fox in tokyo about the preparations out there and there is a bit of a concern about accessible rooms. Are you confident tokyo will be ready . This is my fourth games, it will be my fourth games and theres always some points that need to have a bit of work and accessibility is something that im sure japan will get right. Weve got so much issues with accessibility in this country with accessibility in this country with some of our public transport andl with some of our public transport and i think for them, it will be a case of as the year goes, from now, im sure they will get it right and it will be the best games that they can put on. Sometimes thats true. When we look at paralympic sports abroad shines a light on where we are failing in this country. Emma, first time tae kwon do has been up, such a established sport. Its been in the olympics for such a long time, i hopefully will be devised to represent para tae kwon do in its debut, really looking forward to it. Confident about selection . Feeling really confident at the moment, good position, got another year to keep pushing myself, feeling confident. Richard, from your point of view, are you confident . World number one, paralympic champion, are you confident you will be in the squad . With a year to go, its about form, keeping fit. And keep pushing on. Sport moves on, as amy will find out. You cant rest on your laurels, you need to train as a gold medallist, every day. And like you said, a yearto medallist, every day. And like you said, a year to go. That year will soon come really close. And then itll be time to perform at the highest level, an amazing opportunity for paralympic sport. Im looking at your accolades, gold twice in the 200 metres Paralympic Games in rio de 2012 london, silver in the 100 metres in rio dejaneiro. Do you ever think illjust retire . Asa do you ever think illjust retire . As a 43 year old was two little kids ido as a 43 year old was two little kids i do think that but tokyo will be my la st i do think that but tokyo will be my last games, i know ive said that before but definitely this time. You sound Steve Redgrave but i will hang up my legs after tokyo and enjoy family life. I love paralympic sport and the opportunity it gives myself but also the opportunity to lay down some legacy for the next generation of disabled athletes. dont want to rush away the next 12 months and hopefully what will be a glorious finish but have you thought about what you want to do afterwards . About what you want to do afterwards . Id like to go into some performance management, performance coaching. And give back as much as i can. I support charities in the uk as well as other charities locally. That im really passionate about. And i think when you put on that gb tracksuit, part of paralympics gb, its notjust tracksuit, part of paralympics gb, its not just about the platform tracksuit, part of paralympics gb, its notjust about the platform it gives you. As a medallist. Its also about what you can get back to sport and thats really important. about what you can get back to sport and thats really important. I was just admiring your patriotic bling around your neck but amy its the opposite view, you vulnerable championships twice, this is what is missing from your cabinet, isnt it . Ive been successful, in normal competitions, this would be the icing on the cake, the one i havent got figures crossed its the gold that i get. Sorry, nina. Iwas going to ask if you know what to expect, i am sure richard can tell you its like but im sure its a different feeling, vibe, in a multisport event rather than an individual World Championship. I dont know what to expect, and fortunate i am going to a test event next month in tokyo so it will be a trial run, ill get used to the venue, how many people will be there and its been really beneficial speaking to richard this morning just to feed back some of his experiences from previous games. Question for both of you, who should we look at it, your biggest competitors . With a year to go, you will focus on your own personal performance but ive got a young south african kid that will be 18 then. And he is rabid and as a 43 year old, i know im going to have to rapid. Ive only been in athletics for ten years and i feel ive got room to improve. Amy . Who are the ones to . A couple of girls, brazil, france, quite close in my category, keep pushing forwards but focusing on howl in my category, keep pushing forwards but focusing on how i can develop myself within the next year. Its nice to know youve been able to share experiences in this part in bbc hospitality area. I hope at least you got a cup of coffee, so great to see both, so much for coming in and best of luck with the training of the next 12 months. Exciting times ahead, thank you. Lets ta ke exciting times ahead, thank you. Lets take a look at the weather, nick joins lets take a look at the weather, nickjoins good morning. Yesterday was sublime, what about today . Good morning. Another gold medal performance from the weather coinciding with a Bank Holiday Weekend. How about that . The view from scotland this morning, sunshine in scotland and Northern Ireland today compared with yesterday. The sunshine will be quite hazy in places but its going to be quite a hot day, if anything temperatures will be on the up across many places compared to yesterday by a degree or so. The satellite picture you can see its not clear blue sky, some areas of cloud around this morning, hence its quite hazy out there and certainly towards the channel islands, parts of South West England and wales, especially in the west, we re and wales, especially in the west, were cloud compared to yesterday and some are drifting across the isle of man perhaps towards the coast of lancashire, cumbria, Dumfries And Galloway later in the day. Across much of england, down through eastern parts of wales, we get hazy sunshine, temperatures responding with sunshine in scotland, near 30 in glasgow, 2324 in Northern Ireland, eastern parts of wales across a large part of england upper 20s, even into the low 30s, 32 will bea 20s, even into the low 30s, 32 will be a record for the uk for the lead Bank Holiday Weekend in august. As we look into tonight, some mist and fog patches around, we may see more in the way of dad, Poor Visibility in the way of dad, Poor Visibility in the western side of the uk, picking that up. Slow start for monday morning, again some fog patches around, temperatures around the mid teens as we start the day tomorrow. A bank holiday, for england, wales and Northern Ireland, the similar day, clear blue skies, hazy sunshine, the possibility of some showers are heading towards cornwall in particular, some rain bearing down on the Western Isles is that whether system gets closer and temperature is just a that whether system gets closer and temperature isjust a bit lower towards scotland and Northern Ireland but still that heat through central and eastern parts of england in particular, again round about the 38 celsius mark for the bank holiday as we go through the week its this weather system which will eventually move its way into the british isles, right across, bringing cooler atlantic air back in our direction so if you dont like temperatures as high as they are at the moment they will be coming down but on tuesday, we start to see the chance of showers and thunderstorms around, head of this weather system which will bring the rain through and where you have heat on tuesday, that should just about be the last day of that. Thats how your forecast is looking for the rest of this weekend, back to you. A little bit for everyone on the days ahead. Could be the end of summer, make the most of it. Enjoy your second barbecue of the weekend. If you have social media accounts, chances are you might have seen the hashtag boys dance too appearing on your feed this week. Its trending after a us tv host mocked Prince George about taking up ballet lessons at school. Lara spencer has apologised for her remarks on good morning america. Well discuss it in a moment, but first lets take a look at what she said. Young Prince George, six years old, heading back to school, like so many kids around the world but unlike other kids his age it sounds like the third in line to the throne is infor the third in line to the throne is in for quite the third in line to the throne is inforquitea the third in line to the throne is in for quite a demanding year. The future king of england will be putting down the play dough to take on religious studies, computer programming, poetry and ballet among other things. He looks so happy about ballet class. Prince george, Prince William said george absolutely loves ballet. I have news for you, Prince William. Well see how long that lasts do you know, we note doing thisjob, so easy, slip of the tongue, but that just went she has apologised but it riled to lead. Joining us to discuss the issue is one of the uks most renowned male ballet dancers wayne sleep. Youre furious. Ijust dont understand why people are so quick to throw the first stone. And also, has she ever done a ballet class in her life . How does she know being an authority on dance, anything about it . Ijust think if someone learns dance, especially ballet, first of all youve got music, you study music, secondly you have to maintain the exercise so you have to have a quick praying, thirdly, its wonderful deportment, for sleep when you are on a dance floor with somebody teaches you great social skills, you are not going to be a ballet dancer may be but what great learning. Boys, as youve proved most famously of all, we see so many of the male dancers on strictly come dancing, boys can dance, boys should. Excuse me, dancing, boys can dance, boys should excuse me, when i was at the row Royal Ballet School i won a scholarship from 200 other kids and i went from being a hooker in the by i went from being a hooker in the rugby team at West Hartlepool tech when i was 11 to being lifted into Richmond Park into Queen VictoriaS Hunting Lodge which was the Royal Ballet School and there was five boys with 20 girls and im thrilled to say 50 boys now 50 girls. And in no other country would you be ready, america, im surprised at you. Its frustrating, isnt it. We hope that lots of children s hobbies have become non gender, boys and girls feel equally entitled to play sport but its nothing to do with gender, the men are the men and the boys of the girls, the men have to live the girls over their heads, the strength needed, its incredible, what people dont get is the fact we have to make it look easy, we cant look like a weight lifter. Lets face it we have to do it with a smile on our face into music. If you have to win the 100 metres, doesnt matter how ghastly you look. Prince george, the royals have often liked to dance, you very immensely dance with princess diana, with his grandmother, get it right. His grandmother. I tell you something, she will be so proud of him taking dance lessons, i tell you that. She loved dance, she was fabulous stop when you get hooked on it, itsjust, its like an addiction in a way, its such a wonderful art to be part of and i rememberwhen wonderful art to be part of and i rememberwhen i flew wonderful art to be part of and i remember when i flew around the stage, almost defying gravity, it was like i was airborne and i had the pulse of the music driving me through and forever would you get that experience . You look like you are in great shape, do you still dance . I dont do the big jumps anymore but its the landing the problem hes off iwould anymore but its the landing the problem hes off i would have a problem hes off i would have a problem with take off and landing i could teach you. Good luck whats been really nice as the reaction of various people, kevin clifton, arlene phillips, all over social media. Brian friedman, growing up as a dancer i was bullied horribly which is exactly what this is, there is teaching the world that its ok to laugh at boys for dancing and thats just really sad. To laugh at boys for dancing and thatsjust really sad. It is sad thatsjust really sad. It is sad that weve come no further than when i was that weve come no further than when iwasa that weve come no further than when i was a five year child, used to say to me, where is your frock and i would say, you are wearing it. You just dont know how much those throwaway comments will impact. What right is it of anybody to bully anybody, especially a boy of six years old . Anybody, especially a boy of six years old . It anybody, especially a boy of six years old . It should be against the law. We have health and safety, why doesnt it apply here . Actually, i have interviewed in the past young boys who are dancing, who set my mates are all quite dancing because im spending all my time with girls exactly. That was a fact as well. It was wonderful to be singled out as the only boy in a dance class with girls, igot the only boy in a dance class with girls, i got all the attention. Would you give any advance advice . Mike bushell is taking part in strictly come dancing, what advice would you give to him . What advice would you give to him . What advice i would give to him, is get added early in the morning, dont give up, dont let people you know, like theyve said about poor little george, dont let them get you down. Just keep at it. If i had listened to anyone who had a negative thought about me i wouldnt be here. To anyone who had a negative thought about me i wouldnt be harem gives you energy which mike has got in abundance, you are still bouncing. Even at this time in the morning. So lovely to meet you and thank you so much for coming in, we appreciate it. Its ajoy thank you so much for coming in, we appreciate it. Its a joy to come in and to speak about men as dancers. When sleep. What a way to finish. Thats all from us for today. Breakfast is back tomorrow morning from six. Have a lovely sunday. Goodbye. This is bbc news. Im shaun ley.
