Well, as you say, this is a desperately personal tragedy and we must not lose sight of the fact that Andrew Harpers family have lost a loved one and for the second morning now his very new wife has woken up without a husband. That is devastatingly sad and i think everybody across the Police Family and across the country feel that way. You have heard from people in the community who wanted to pay tribute to him and the wiki had done ina tribute to him and the wiki had done in a comparatively short policing career. Yes, absolutely. People have been down at the scene today laying flowers from all across the community, from other members of the emergency services, members of the public, members of the armed forces. I have had tributes paid to him from people across the force who worked with him, people across the forces did not work with him. Members of the public who had been pectins of crime who he had helped over his career and they pay testament to the amazing work that he did. Join with amazing work that he did. Join with a dedicated Police Officer he was and how tragic it is that he has losses life in this way. I wouldnt wa nt to losses life in this way. I wouldnt want to suggest that there is not similar efforts made when someone dies, buti similar efforts made when someone dies, but i imagine it must lead particularly heavily on officers as they try to solve this murder. That it is the murder of one of their colleagues. Absolutely, the loss of any life is tragic and Thames Valley police will of course investigate any murder with great vigour. But obviously for this place officers involved, it is even tougher for those officers who were at the scene, who are investigating this kind of stop there is a personal element to it, which we cannot ignore. As well as pc harpers family, the force is offering support to his friends and colleagues. The chief constable said his News Conference yesterday afternoon that in terms of this particular crime, terrible crime that had happened, there was a need to get as much information from the public as possible. The open road, sex, drugs and rock and roll. The film was written, produced by and starred peter fonda, along with Dennis Hopper, playing a pair of long haired bikers travelling through the American South west and deep south. It touched a nerve with the countrys youth and captured the mood of the times. It also spawned a new era in film making, focused on younger generations. It earned peter fonda an oscar nomination for best original screenplay, and catapulted him to stardom in hollywood. Later in his career he was nominated for best actor in the 1997 drama ulees gold, in which he played a florida beekeeper. He won a golden globe for the film. Peter fonda was part of hollywood royalty, the son of the actor henry fonda and younger brother ofjane fonda. Like his father, he was honoured with a star on hollywoods walk of fame.
