Epstein was awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking minors, and documents released just last week accused several other powerful people. People who might have been very nervous about what mr epstein knew about them. Which is why the attorney general has questions about how this suicide was allowed to happened. I was appalled and indeed the whole department was, and frankly angry, to learn of the mccs failure to adequately secure this prisoner. We will get to the bottom of what happened and there will be accountability. But let me assure you that this case will continue on against anyone who is complicit with epstein. Any Co Conspirators should not rest easy. The victims deserve justice and they will get it. So where does the investigation go from here . Joining me now is former assistant us attorney, kim wehle. How unusual is it for a high profile prisoner of this nature to be left alone in such a way that they would have the opportunity to commit suicide like this epstein. This is an epic failure not only of the correctional facility he was in but the federal prison of which mr barr is partially responsible for. It is unusual, that is not to say there might not have been incompetence at play. Mr epstein was not happy being incarcerated and suicide watch can be more uncomfortable for a prisoner, not less so it is conceivable he convinced his way out of the suicide watch but this is the kind of prisoner who should have been on high alert, not slipping through the cracks in this way. What about the investigation now . We heard that the attorney general saying if you are one of the powerful Co Conspirators, do not think this is the end of the line. How doesjeffrey epstein being dead affect the chances of prosecutors bringing justice to the victims and ending this investigation . He is not any position to testify so the to which there are Co Conspirators that he could have turned on, he is no longer alive so that is a problem for the prosecution and some people might speculate they could have been foul play and mr barr is looking into that, the extent to which his death was something he wanted or other people in power wanted. Hong kong people are just shouting out their demands and they may do some destructions but they wont do extreme violence as do the police force. Sorry to interrupt, it is fair to say, it hasnt all been peaceful and there has been response to some of the Police Approach to protesters. I noticed today there was one banner within the airport saying an eye for an eye, a specific reference, as you are saying earlier to the young woman who was hit in the eye over the weekend. How do you feel about that sort of attitude towards the aggression . This is protesters saying, you do that to us, well do it to you. I think it is a natural consequence. We have been fighting for our demands around three months. But we cannot hear very formal replies from the government. All we are experiencing is that Hong Kong Government used the police force to try to beat us very hard. They use Excessive Force on us so some protesters will use an eye for an eye as slogans to the Hong Kong Police. But what we actually are targeting is that we can set up committees of investigation in hong kong to investigate all the reaction of the police force, whether it is appropriate, to see whether Hong Kong Police force can be not that corrupted. We are now thinking the Hong Kong Police force has been corrupted we are asking tourists to be careful of Hong Kong Police and dont trust Hong Kong Police. Amazing, they are very brave. Ten weeks people have been protesting and getting an awful lot of attention now as well. This closure is causing massive disruption and will do more harm to hong kongs economy. But these young activists believe they have to keep going. The family were holidaying in malaysia when the 15 year old went missing over a week ago. Labour has called for a review into grouse shooting, questioning its impact on the environment. The four month grouse shooting season starts today, known as the glorious twelfth. Shooters have been heading to the moors of scotland and northern england. The rspb agrees that such meets are causing real environmental problems. Across the country, hundreds of thousands of acres of moorland are actively managed so grouse shooting can take place. Estates like this one say this makes them the friend of the environment, not the enemy, and that shooting supportsjobs in remote rural areas. They are almost the lifeblood of a glen like this, because the other options for employment and economic and cultural activity are so limited. But the argument is its bad for the environment. What would you say to that . I would say that is absolutely wrong. It is places like this which conserve wading birds. This is where the curlew, the lapwing, the golden plover come back to breed in the summer, and if the conditions arent right for them, they will go. But campaigners complain the impact on the environment had been too high. In some areas, they say it has led to the erosion of land in others, that birds of prey have been illegally targeted, poisoned, trapped. We are not seeking a ban on grouse shooting. What we are seeking is management for grouse shooting that is legal, sustainable and accountable, and its none of those three things at the moment. What we have is an industry where self regulation has patently failed. And we would like to see that brought under proper control. A review by the Scottish Government into grouse moor management is expected later this year but may not resolve the debate between those who want grouse shooting to end for good and those who believe its a tradition that is important to sustaining the future of the countryside.
