Well bales agent has labelled zidane a disgrace for the way hes treated the welshman. Jonathan barnett says zidane has shown no respect for a player who has done so much for real madrid. Well there was a moment of magic for bales old club spurs in one of their preseason games. Have a look at this from harry kane. A stunning strike two minutes into injury time againstjuventus. Made even sweeter for tottenham fans given that the goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny used to play for arsenal. Australia have retained the womens ashes after the only test match in the series was drawn at taunton. It was always going to be an uphill task for england. They were already well down in the multi format series going into the test match which they needed to win if they were to have any chance of winning the series. The teams now play three t20s. Reigning champion Geraint Thomas remains in the hunt to retain his Tour De France title after stage 15 which was won by fellow briton simon yates. It was his second victory at the tour. And Jonathan Brownlee has won his first World Triathlon series gold medal in two years. The double olympic medallist won in edmonton in canada, and says it hurt that some people said he was past it during those fallow couple of years. Also the relay team, great wooden came second overnight. The pressure is on well. I was up at 2 30am to watch it. Thank you very much. Are you on that . I havent seen them yet. As much as £100 million a year remains unclaimed by rail passengers who have suffered delayed trains or cancellations. Thats according to the watchdog, transport focus, which is now launching a campaign to make delay pay by encouraging more people to apply for compensation. David sidebottom is the director of transport focus and joins us now. Ive done it myself. Its down to a bit of apathy but the rain reason, the train is not telling people that when you are on a delayed train, the first thing you should be thinking about his winter claim and how to claim. Around a third of people dont know the rules you are claiming and another third think its not worth bothering. When do you claim . It depends which company you claim . It depends which company you are with. If you are delayed by more than 15 minutes, you can claim up more than 15 minutes, you can claim up to more than 15 minutes, you can claim uptoa more than 15 minutes, you can claim up to a quarter of the single fair you are on. If up to a quarter of the single fair ou are on. If oure up to a quarter of the single fair you are on. If youre with a company like virgin trains, you can claim 50 of the ticket so there are very clear rules. We push very hard to make it as easy as possible. People claim to heartheir make it as easy as possible. People claim to hear their voices heard. Make it as easy as possible. People claim to hear their voices heardm terms of how you do it, is it simple little . It could be simpler and thats what were pushing for. There are some Train Companies like c2c, they have an automatic Compensation Scheme where you tap and tap out, like you with oyster. Thats going to take some years to happen for all the train operators. If your train is late, it automatically gives you money. But its about Train Companies telling people, the compensation is automatic, automated so compensation is automatic, automated so people need to understand their rights and how to claim and didnt go through a claim form on line or paper form and just make it simple and easy. What is striking is about how much money has been left unclaimed. Yesterday £18 million was unclaimed. There is still 65 of us who have not claimed. We estimate that figure to be around 100 million. If your daily commute, for example, is 15 minutes late, you can claim every single day that happens . The old rules meant you could be delayed 28 minutes every time and you would not get a penny. We have pushed hard to get a penny. We have pushed hard to get these new rules in and it is time passengers voices were heard. I suppose if we were all to claim that would send a powerful message as well. It is a lot of money. It will focus the accounta nts as well. It is a lot of money. It will focus the accountants mains for network rail. As part of what is going on in the railway at the moment, the big review last week, the williams review, making sure passengers trust is the railway and they are Getting Better value for money. Thank you very much for that. It isa it is a 6 47. I know you enjoy while swimming. Open water swimming is a iy carol can show us why. Good morning from beckenham place park. Good morning america but the sun is out in this swimming venue good morning, everybody good morning. You look addressed the weather. While swimming, what exactly is it . It is swimming in rivers and lakes and the sea and getting out into the Natural Environment and doing it safely and with friends and having some cake afterwards. Safely and with friends and having some cake afterwardslj safely and with friends and having some cake afterwards. I like the sound of the cake. It is becoming more popular . We have seen a huge growth in us. When we started the society in 2006 it was a small habit some people were doing. Last year we have had a 50 increase from the before. Up to 490,000 people doing it in the last 28 days. A huge growth in outdoor swimming. You mentioned doing it safely, which is of paramount importance. And with the weather heating up you will probably find a lot of people will come here. How do you stay safe in Something Like this . In this situation you have support from lifeguards, so that is great to have. If you go to rivers and lakes, speak to locals who know about the local conditions and make sure you know what it is doing and wearing a bright hat, such as this, so you can be seen by vehicles and boats on the water, and make sure you know where you are getting out as well as where you are getting out as well as where you are getting on. That is very good advice. Thank you very much. I know you want to go for a swim. Thank you. This weeks forecast is going to be a hot one, notjust hot but also humid. Today we have some rain. Rain heavy across the north west of the uk. Also gusty winds and in the northern half of the country. Then it breaks down with some thundery downpours tuesday night into wednesday. Coming in from the south or south west and heading northwards. You can see whether heat is coming from, it is the near continent being dragged up the wind. In fact, mid week paris could reach 42 degrees, beating its Current Record of 40. By then london will be 3435. This record of 40. By then london will be 34 35. This morning it is a humid start of the day. Temperatures over in manchester and liverpool did not fall in manchester and liverpool did not fa ll lower in manchester and liverpool did not fall lower than 20 degrees. It is fairly cloudy as well. The cloud producing some drizzle in the south west of wales. Rain across the north west of england, which will clear and clear also from Northern Ireland, but remain across western scotla nd ireland, but remain across western scotland where it will be heavy. For the rest of us we are looking at sunshine, with highs up to about 30 degrees in the south eastern quarter. Widely into the mid 20s. Through this evening and overnight we will see more cloud coming in from the west and the south and it will get into central areas, rain across North Western scotland, not a cold night. 14 18 the overnight lows. After a cloudy start tomorrow committal thin and break and we will have sunshine and dry weather. Rain clearing from north west scotland. It will be hot. Particularly in the south where we could reach 34. Widely again we are looking at the high 20s into the low 30s. Overnight tuesday into wednesday we see the thundery breakdown. Coming in from the south or south west, moving northwards. Highs in the south again up northwards. Highs in the south again up to 35. We are still looking at temperatures widely from the mid 20s into the low 30s. I havent mentioned by note. By night as well it will be particularly hot and humid. For example, tomorrow night in london we are looking at 25 degrees. In cardiff 21 degrees. In edinburgh19 and degrees. In cardiff 21 degrees. In edinburgh 19 and belfast 18. They would be good daytime temperatures, but very uncomfortable by nightfall well, some people have already noticed, a thing. It sounds like itll get worse. Thank you. Im might have to take the fan out. It is about 30 years old. It is really noisy. The other thing you could do is sleep in the garden. Visits to gardens and green spaces add £3 billion a year to the uk economy, but could more be done to grow this lucrative market . Steph is at quarry bank, near wilmslow in cheshire, to look at this. Good morning, steph. You were sleeping there last night, we re you were sleeping there last night, were you . Good morning. It was gorgeous out here. You heard from the forecast how lovely it is. It wont be long before this place as lots of visitors wandering around. As you said, this is Quarry Bank Mill, dates back to the 18th century. It was a pretty famous cotton mill back in the day. Today much more famous for its gardens. They have hundreds of thousands of people who visit every year. Around 120 people working full time. And they have around 450 volunteers. The reason we are here is because as louisa said talking about the impact that garden tourism, as it is been called, has on the uk economy. It is about £3 billion per year contributes. When you look at who visited visit these places, foreign visitors, they will try to get a little garden visit into their trips as well. You have the big popular ones as q. They tend to get a Million People every year. Kew gardens. And things like the Chelsea Flower Show. Carol always shows that off on the telly for us. They get a lot of people. There is a reporter from a committee of mps that is all about this being an untapped resource and how do we get more people to visit and therefore make more money out of it . They have a couple of guests we can chat to. Anthony from visit britain and allan dell from the National Trust. We get to see the glorious view eleanor. Tell us what the big conclusions we re tell us what the big conclusions were for me. What we have got to be able to do is tell the story more generally of how successful the uk is our tourism. We are a tourism powerhouse. It is worth billions and billions to the economy. Gardens are an important component of that. One in three of all the International Visitors go to a garden at some point on their trip. The other thing is at home, domestically, 54 million of us go and do a day trip to a garden. They are a significant asset to our advantage was not i think what the committee was trying to do was looking at how we could do to drive more spend and more visits. Do you think it is an untapped resource than . What we were saying at the committee back in may was that we have to do more alignment of our marketing, we have to look at what the visitor of the future once in terms of product development. It is one of the key aspects that the Committee Report this morning is giving recommendations. We have to go away and work out what to do. Let me bring in eleanor at this point. What are your thoughts on this . This isa what are your thoughts on this . This is a place you know and love. What you think we should be doing to get more people visit . We are very supportive of this idea. We know how much people love gardens. We look up to 200 gardens and 100 parts for the nation. People come in droves. We have millions of visitors every year. Anything we can do to promote those gardens and help people know they are there and enjoy them all they are there and enjoy them all the better. One of the ideas that has been talked about is the idea of a garden city, like we have the city of culture. What you think about that . Well, we are supportive of that. We have been doing work with local authorities on parts. We have a future Parks Initiative which we do with the local authority. Our founders, octavia hill, felt everybody, rich or poor, should have access to quiet, for exercise, to be able to see the sky and see things grow. And we want to fulfil they man wish of our founders. One of the things that can, and id appreciate both your thoughts on this, that can put things off is the cost. It can cost a lot of money to visit places like this. Do you think that needs to be something that is worked on . think that is a mixture of the two. You are mentioning the Chelsea Flower Show or the royal Hampton Court flower show, they obviously very expensive things for people to go and see. But you can go to gardens across the country. The point we try to make is they are great assets in terms of getting people out beyond the city is they are great assets in terms of getting people out beyond the cities to places they may not have thought a lot of these places. What are your thoughts on this, eleanor . To come here for a day, a family to get them how much is it . 80 of our visitors are members. It does not cost a lot to become a member. Less than £10 a month for one individual. We have 5 million members. That is how we provide access to these special places. We also provide access for our local communities, schools who come here, and many of our landscape places, the Lake District and so on are completely free of charge and open to people. Excellent. Thank you very much your time this morning. We will be here throughout the morning showing off the different parts. There is only wonderful things to see and some gorgeous flowers love going to see gardens. They get garden envy. We will see later. Lovely out and about this morning with both steph and carol. |j lovely out and about this morning with both steph and carol. I know. Time now to get the news, travel, and weather where you are. Iran said it was acting in retaliation for the seizure of its tanker, the grace 1 in gibraltar waters, two weeks ago. It was alleged to have been carrying oil to syria, in defiance of european sanctions. This morning, the Emergency Committee cobra will meet for the third time to discuss this crisis, but it will be chaired for the first time by the Prime Minister herself. Later, the foreign secretary, jeremy hunt, will go to the house of commons to tell mps what action britain intends to take. The uk has just one warship in the gulf at the moment, hms montrose. The us has many more military assets. An International Plan to protect british ships, perhaps in convoys, is said to be in development. Protestors returning from mass pro democracy demonstrations in hong kong have been attacked by gangs of unidentified men armed with sticks. Forty five people have been injured one critically. It follows weeks of protests over an extradition deal with Mainland China we can speak to our correspondent celia hatton, whos in beijing for us this morning. Celia, what has the response been there . The response has been very mixed, ive got to say. Beijing has very little to say about the violence that took place at the yuen long train station. They seem to be identical weapons. Train station. They seem to be identicalweapons. Beijing train station. They seem to be identical weapons. Beijing has had little to say they have not condemned that attack, although inside china, the very heavily censored internet comments are applauding those men. Basically saying that they are national heroes, heroes in white, they are being called. Thats because there isa being called. Thats because there is a lot of real sentiment in Mainland China that Anti Government protesters in hong kong are really protesting against china as a hole. Inside china, that group of men cloud in white t shirts, they are being applauded. Do we know any more about who might be behind those attacks . There is a lot of speculation. Many in hong kong believe this group is very well organised. They do appear to have been carrying the same weapons. A lot of questions being raised as to why when the police were called, they didnt appear. Some say they didnt appear for they didnt appear. Some say they didntappearforup to they didnt appear. Some say they didnt appearfor up to an hour after that first emergency call was made. Its leading to speculation that hong kong authorities simply wa nt to that hong kong authorities simply want to look the other way is Anti Government protesters were being attacked. I think a lot of people are suggesting that these men are somehow connected with organised crime in hong kong. There are many crime in hong kong. There are many crime groups in hong kong that have offered by operating. They are not so offered by operating. They are not so happy with the idea that hong kong might become of the book more independent in might strengthen the rule of law. They profited from the increasingly porous border between Mainland China and hong kong. They are more than happy, i think, to try and scare off the protesters. Thats the idea right now. There is no official confirmation on the identities of the men involved in that attack. Celia hatton, in beijing. Thank you. Its emerged the Security Firm, g4s, has made more than £14 million for running an immigration removal site at the centre of abuse allegations. An emotional shane lowry has paid tribute to the support of his family after winning the open at royal portrush in Northern Ireland. The irishman beat his nearest challenger, tommy fleetwood, by six shots to lift the claretjug for the first time. Our Sports Correspondent andy swiss reports. It was the stuff of sporting dreams. Portrush perfection as shane lowry gave the home fans a hero. From the republic of ireland, shane lowry. Hed begun his round to deafening expectation but his opening swing suggested the nerves were jangling, and his 4 shot lead was down to three. Not for long, though. Soon it was the shane show lowry backed his best and the crowd loved it. Great shot. With conditions bordering on the farcical, his only challenger, tommy fleetwood, saw his hopes slip away and from there, it was a much to victory, lowry lapping up the moment before a tap in for triumph. And ireland, there is your champion. Portrush could start the party, and after embracing his wife and daughter, he paid tribute to his parents. They sacrificed so much for me when i was younger and im so happy i can hand them this trophy tonight. Last but not least, the volunteers and all the fans. I mean, thank you so much. This ones for you. And 150 miles south at his home club in esker hills, the celebrations were also in full swing for them and their star player, an unforgettable day. Well, the return of the open here to Northern Ireland was always going to be emotional but this was something else. Rarely has this famous event seen a more popular champion. Andy swiss, bbc news, royal portrush. Im glad the fact that it was on today. He is the first golfer with a beard to win the open since 1882. Some very funny facts going around. Its prince georges sixth birthday today and Kensington Palace has marked the occasion with some new photographs. One of the pictures, which were all taken by the duchess of cambridge, show him in an england football shirt. Another shows the young prince on holiday. One thing were going to be about his skin. Having read about skin. Dustin his skin. Having read about skin. Dust in the house. Half the dust in the house. It comes from shedding our skin. The house. It comes from shedding ourskin. In the the house. It comes from shedding our skin. In the meantime, lets get back to the conservative leadership. By wednesday, therell be a new Prime Minister at number 10. Conservative Party Members have just ten hours left to decide between Boris Johnson and jeremy hunt. The two candidates spent weeks travelling the country, taking part in interviews and debates. The broadcaster iain dale chaired more than 20 hours of hustings during the campaign he joins us now from tunbridge wells. Good morning to you. Ive been wanting to speak to you, to get a sense of how much the two of them changed during the hustings and what the atmosphere was like. Changed during the hustings and what the atmosphere was likelj changed during the hustings and what the atmosphere was like. I think they actually both grew into it. By they actually both grew into it. By the end of it, ok, they were making standard stump speeches, telling the same drugs, as im sure you have seen same drugs, as im sure you have seen but in the q a sessions, they we re seen but in the q a sessions, they were really put under pressure by the members. It wasnt patsy questions, they were actually very difficult questions. I cant remember a single occasion when either of them failed to give an a nswer either of them failed to give an answer and Boris Johnson has either of them failed to give an answer and borisjohnson has this reputation of not being a details man but as time went on, he was getting quite detailed answers to difficult questions on disability rights, mental health, that sort of thing and it wasnt all about brexit. At the last hustings in london, there wasnt a single question on brexit. Tell us about the audience is because many of them other people have the vote. Well, traditionally, they are characterised by people in the media is white, mail, pale and stale. That was very far from the case. In the london audience in particular, 25, 30 of the audience was not white. A lot of young people there. On many occasions, i took questions from people under the age of 20 in the last hustings, taking questions from an eight year old. Last hustings, taking questions from an eightyearold. Was there a sense they were changing peoples minds from what they were saying . They were changing peoples minds from what they were saying . |j they were changing peoples minds from what they were saying . I have to say when i talked to previously undecided tory members, overwhelmingly, they had decided to vote forjeremy hunt. He came across asa vote forjeremy hunt. He came across as a calm, reassuring presence. He hasnt got the oratory that Boris Johnson has got but i think, its very interesting, when he looked out into the audience, whenjeremy hunt was speaking, they were nodding sagely and listening to what he was saying that when Boris Johnson sagely and listening to what he was saying that when borisjohnson came out, they were smiling. He made them feel good about themselves. They see him as an election winner which i suspect is the reason he will win tomorrow. That seems to be the sense. It is most likely that Boris Johnson will win tomorrow. We have heard other people will hand in their resignations. Chancellor Philip Hammond saying that yesterday if borisjohnson becomes the next row minister. What you think it means for the future ofjeremy hunt, how he has performed during the housing period and how he has conducted himself . I think one of the key moments was in the itv debate, where he really went for borisjohnson and a lot of boriss team would not take kindly to that and they were talking about demoting him to undersecretary for Social Security or Something Like that. That will not happen. He said he would serve under boris. It will depend on what he is offered. He wants to stay where he is. Im not sure that will happen. There is a thought he might be promoted to chancellor of the exchequer. He has made a big play of his economic policies, Cutting Corporation tax, getting the economy going. That might be an interesting move. But i dont think he will serve necessarily if he is offered a demotion. He has to have one of the major three three made offices of state, eye would have thought so by tomorrow we find out who has one. The doctor was about the processes. Only members of the cabinet will be in the same place . Talk to us about. Ive looked at the 28 people sitting around the cabinet table, either the full members or people attending, and direct and there will be about ten of them left by the end of wednesday night. Boris johnson does need to appoint a cabinet very quickly. He has his first Cabinet Meeting thursday morning. You will not be in downing street untiljust after 5pm on wednesday. So he will not have long to form the cabinet. I think there will be some resignations. There will be others that are disappointed by what they are offered. Maybe they will go as well. This will be a very, very different looking government to the one we have right now. Iain dale, it sounds like itll be all change. Thank you for talking to us. Very interesting stuff. We are going for another sunny day. Carol has the weather for us today. Talk about trying to stay cool. Carol has been telling us it will be ridiculously hot in the evening. One warmer in glasgow says her way of staying cool when it is hot at night, she says fill up when it is hot at night, she says fillupa when it is hot at night, she says fill up a couple of hot Water Bottles with cold water, then in the fridge for a few hours, then chop them in the bed before you get in. Says it is simple. Not a bad idea. Carol, you are out and about with open water swimmers this morning. Good morning. Good morning, vietnam. That is good advice. Im a packenham place park. A newly opened venue good morning, everybody. The idea is that everybody can use it here in the heart of an inner city borough and it is not just heart of an inner city borough and it is notjust for the hard core cold resistant wild swimmers. The la kers cold resistant wild swimmers. The lakers is 285 metres long and reaches 3. 5 metres deep, around 11 feetin reaches 3. 5 metres deep, around 11 feet in some parts lake is. Some swimmers have been in and out all morning and the paddle boarders as well. Danny alluded to the fact it will be hot this week. It most certainly is. Temperatures in parts of the south will reach 35 degrees. And generally we are looking from the mid 20s to the low 30s by day. But by night it will be hot and humid, uncomfortably so. Tuesday night into wednesday, at midnight the temperature in london will still be about 25 degrees. The forecast for this week is a hot and humid one. As a mentioned. But they and by that. Today we have heavy rain across the north west. We have seen across the north west. We have seen a lot of rain in the Lake District in the last 12 hours, almost two inches, 45 millimetres. In the whole lot breaks down with thundery downpours. Tuesday overnight into wednesday. This morning it is a cloudy start. A muggy one. Loud across the southwest and wales producing some drizzle, drizzle in the southern uplands. Rain across north west england starting to clear away. The north of Northern Ireland will clear away. In scotland it will retreat into the west, where it will be heavy this afternoon. For the rest of us, we are looking at a Sunny Afternoon. Fiona lamdin has been speaking to some former addicts to see if the advice could have helped them. Yeah, its ruined my life. Ive lost five jobs, seven partners. Ive lived in 26 different homes. Terry has been gambling for four decades. For years he managed to hold down a job as a psychiatric nurse within the nhs. I knew id be working with individuals and their monies, and so i told my boss at the time that ive got a gambling problem. But terrys warnings were ignored. I stole a patients credit card and over the next ten days eventually gambled ten, ten times £200 £2000. He ended up losing hisjob and getting a criminal record. And thats why the trade union unite have introduced a new policy on gambling, so bosses know who to turn to if their employees are struggling. Good morning, gambling service, how can i help . Another town, another family whose lives have been ruined by gambling. He was a very extrovert guy. He loved life and he played in loads of bands. He enjoyed his life a lot. Butjosh was leading a double life. By 17 he was addicted to gambling. When he went to university his first terms loan was gone within a week. And by september 2015, aged just 23, josh was in a very dark place. He put his suit on and his friend said, why are you putting yoursuit on . It was like six in the evening. He said, ive got to go into work to sort something out. That evening he took his life. Two oclock in the morning the police came knocking on our door. And we sort of knew what they were going to tell us, because wed suspected what the outcome might be because josh just couldnt control his gambling. He was so addicted. He tried, but he couldnt stop. Butjoshs family want to see so much more than this new policy. They want to see the gambling industry take responsibility for the harm it causes. I was having to cover the shame up of the fact i was gambling outside of work. Terry, what difference you think it would have made to you . If i had had access to support then it certainly wouldnt have led to me stealing money from a patient. And it would have certainly i would have still been working in psychiatry today. These are small steps, but many feel they are in the right direction. Its all about starting conversations and removing the stigma. Fiona lamdin, bbc news. Thank you to them for speaking to us. The government says it will help protect Vulnerable People in debt but campaigners say more needs to be done. If there is a debate as to where these cameras, i would do what i can to protect people from aggressive bailiffs. Carol is out and about looking at one of my favourite sports, open water swimming. She is also giving us water swimming. He broke his own world record in the 100m breaststroke, something hed promised to do after winning olympic gold three years ago. Patrick gearey has the story. Nowadays, before a big race, adam peaty says he meditates, incredible peace before incredible pace. This is a swimmer who has already conquered the world but is giving everything just to finish in less than 57 seconds. Commentator 56. 88, hes absolutely destroyed the best in the world. Im really thinking coming to the finest form of an athlete ive ever been in and hopefully the finest person ive been, trying to get back to the sport. This is how i set my legacy and this is how i want to do it. This has been a journey far longer than that 100m of water. When peaty won olympic gold three years ago, setting a world record in the process, many would feel there were no worlds left to conquer. Peaty took on project 56, a personal crusade to break what he called the magic 57 second barrier. As an athlete so far ahead of the field, hed found his new frontier, battled it then beaten it. Obviously being away from your family and being away everyone at home, its tough. Its tough, but its tough when you do stuff like this and make history so its the price you pay, i guess. With every record broken, every race won, the question returns to adam peaty what next . Later today, we will have the answer. Keep an eye out for history in the 100m breastroke final. It wont take a minute. Patrick geary, bbc news. Brilliant line. He is incredible, isnt it . What is his next target . I am finishing another extreme triathlon in about ten days time. Project finish. Ive been recently injured. Project 55 starts for adam peaty. Im sure we can all use that in ourown peaty. Im sure we can all use that in our own lives. Whatever it might be. England won the bronze medal at the netball world cup in liverpool. Hes currently a real madrid player, but was left out of their pre season match against Bayern Munich and its fair to say he doesnt get on with head coach Zinedine Zidane. Translation he wasnt called up because i believe the club is arranging his exit and thats why he didnt play. We will see in a few days what will happen. Its nothing personal. There comes a time when these things happen and its what needs to be done. I make the decision and we need to change. We will see what is going to happen. Its not personal. Pretty blunt. Bales agent has labelled zidane a disgrace for the way hes treated the welshman. Jonathan barnett says zidane has shown no respect for a player who has done so much for real madrid. And theres been a silver medal this morning for the british mixed real team at the World Triathlon series event in canada. The team of sophie coldwell, india lee, Gordon Benson and Jonny Brownlee finished just a few seconds behind new zealand in edmonton. Im told there are highlights on bbc two. Theres no Firm Evidence yet of a link between implants and these side effects, but leading surgeons are still calling for all patients to be warned of the potential effects before they go under the knife. Gerard lambe is a consultant plastic and cosmetic surgeon. He can tell us more. In my ignorance, ive never heard of this before. What is out there that we dont know . This before. What is out there that we dont know . We dont actually know that much. There are about 50,000 people on social media. One particular group, 40,000 ladies reporting symptoms are all sorts of rashes, joint pains. There is no specific clutch of things, these women all have the Breast Implants, they attributed this to having implants then. We dont have a test for it. We dont have any sort of investigations, this is what youve got. That is where we are at the moment. There are Different Reasons why people might be having an implant, including after cancer treatment. What your patience say . Do they have concerns . At the moment, im not hearing about it. Nobody has been asking about it yet but i think the association are concerned because there is a rise in this on social media and i suppose its to allay the fears of people and also to inform people fully about what they are getting into, you dont want to perform surgery, you dont want to perform surgery, you didnt tell me about this. Its rather difficult because we dont have a test, a proven diagnosis. Youve brought in three variations. There are all sorts of different types of implants. This one is a smooth implant in round. These are the regular textured implants. There isa the regular textured implants. There is a lot of information out there about the difference in texture and how that can affect people as well. Why would you different . The textured im pla nts why would you different . The textured implants are the ones we have in the uk. Smooth implant. There is a total difference between what we in europe do, using the textured ones. We think they lead to much less risk. We can make them into shape implants which allows us to address whats of different problems. Its all these smooth ones which arent shaped. There act quite differently. Are they safe, 10096 safe . Differently. Are they safe, 10096 safe . Should i be considering this . Are they completely safe in your eyes . Its always difficult. We believe its safe. Given that i perform surgery, people have had chemotherapy, radiotherapy, have been through the rigours of treatment. If i didnt think it was safe, there is no way i would use it but the way you do the surgery, there are loads of different steps. Its really important. Telling people all of the potential risks is really important. He talked about having a register of women. really important. He talked about having a register of women. I think its extremely helpful. We have a Breast Implant registry. The pip scandal, which help to tighten the industry up. You dont have to say youd like to go on it. The details are entered into the register. How i did the surgery, did we use antibiotics and use certain steps. I want to us, are you seeing a rise in this . Not senator rice. There are changes in trends all the time. Now eve ryo ne changes in trends all the time. Now everyone who comes to me says they wa nt to everyone who comes to me says they want to look natural. They dont wa nt want to look natural. They dont want people to know i have had the sun. There is a change in trends. There is no sign it as putting people off or they dont want it done. I always a in my consultations if you are uncertain dont get it done. Very good talking to you. Thank you very much indeed. It is quite a muggy start to the day in london as it is across many other areas. Last night the temperature in manchester and liverpool didnt fall lower than 20 celsius. As we go through this week what you will find is it will be hot and humid by day and also by night. To give you an idea, through the week, somewhere like london could hit 35, possibly 36 celsius by day. My notes, same midnight on tuesday, into wednesday morning, temperatures falling to 25 by morning, temperatures falling to 25 by night. In cardiff 21, edinburgh 19, and belfast 19. Uncomfortable for sleeping in. Let us look at the forecast. It is hot and humid, not just by day but by night. Today we have rain across the north west. Gusty winds as well. Then it breaks down into some torrential thundery downpours tuesday night and also wednesday. It will still remain hot, even beyond wednesday. Thursday could be the hottest day of the week. All this are coming up from the near continent being dragged up on the south westerly or southerly winds. In fact, through the week paris could hit 42 degrees. If it does it will be to its Current Record of 40 degrees, not one that necessarily wa nts record of 40 degrees, not one that necessarily wants to be broken. By then london could be looking at 35. Off toa then london could be looking at 35. Off to a cloudy start this morning with drizzle across south west england, wales, and the southern uplands. Some rhaney north west england, north coast of Northern Ireland, scotland. Most of us will see some sunshine. The rain pushing up see some sunshine. The rain pushing up into western scotland, where it will be heavy. Gusty winds across the northern half of the country. Top temperatures up to 30 degrees. Cambridgeshire east anglia, the london area. Widely into the mid 20s or the high 20s. Through this evening we see more cloud arrived from the west and south. The rain will become confined to north west scotland. Overnight lows denied between about 14 and 18. Still quite sticky. Tonight. After cloudy start the cloud melts away and it will be dry, sunny, and warm or hot depending on where you are. Rainy north west scotland clears away. Temperature wise we are looking up to 32, possibly 34 in the south east. Widely once again the high 20s into the low 30s. Overnight tuesday into wednesday, that is when we see the thunderstorms, from the south or south west, pushing northwards through the night and in through wednesday. We will see some torrential rain, large scale, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Behind them, once again, were back into sunny and ties up to 34 or 35. Hi is into sunny and ties up to 34 or 35. Hi is up too. Thursday could be the hottest day in the week in the south. It will not cool down significantly until we head into the weekend. Have you been paddle boarding, carol . Weekend. Have you been paddleboarding, carol . Sort of. Sort of they have seen pictures. We will have to get you to do that live on the telly. We will see you later. If you go on bbc breakfast social media card you can see what louise is talking about. It was horrendous at the golf yesterday. Squally shells popping in and out. Showers. Tommy fleetwood finished second. He had a chance of winning a major. He said this morning that two minutes ago the open was a spectacle to spot, congratulations to shane lowry who won yesterday, his family and his team on achieving a great dream. Hopefully one day can be me. Thank you to everyone for your support, as always the pillow keeping the dream alive. Shall we go outside again . Steph is in a beautiful garden in cheshire. Good morning. Good morning to you. There is a lot to be said forjust having a quiet Wander Around one of our fabulous public gardens. Im at Quarry Bank Mill in cheshire. As the name suggests, this is a famous mill back in the 18th century, a cotton mill, producing lots of cotton, well known around the world. Now it is owned by the National Trust and has fabulous gardens surrounding it. They have thousands of people who come and visit this place every year. Around 300,000, actually. 120 staff. They have Something Like 450 volunteers. The reason we are here is because we are talking about the business of gardens and the fact that they contribute Something Like £3 billion to the uk economy every year. There isa to the uk economy every year. There is a report out that is all about trying to make a bit more money from it and get people visiting places like this. We have a couple of guests. We have anthony from visit britain and eleanor from the National Trust. Do you think centres like this, we dont know you love, are untapped resources . Yes, absolutely. We support anything that can be done to support gardens in this country, because people love them and we know that. Since we have open this garden we have travelled our visitor numbers. People love them for peace and quiet and beauty and to feel connected with nature. Rainaud there been a loss of investment here. Tell us about that know that there. Investment here. Tell us about that know that there. We have been fortu nate know that there. We have been fortunate in attracting Heritage Lottery funding for the site which has allowed us to open up aspects of the site that previously were not open to the public. That includes this garden which was restored in the last five years, including an early 18th Century Glass house, which we are very proud of. I dont know if you can see that in the shot. Yes, you can. Visitors love it. We tell the story not only of cotton production but the Community Created around the mill to serve the mill to provide workers, both the child workers in the adult workers who lived in the village. There is a real history to the place. Anthony, this isnt the only one. There are lots around the country. Some of emmas than others. You are part of the people giving evidence. Gardens are such a good asset to the uk tourism offer. One in three of International Visitors will go to a garden. At that evidence session we we re garden. At that evidence session we were talking about what we can do to promote gardens without tourism offer. We know we are globally good at tourism. Since that evidence session the government announced this landmark Tourism Sector deal and its strategy which gives us an unprecedented moment to look at where tourism is going into the next decade or so and how we can be the very best in the world. We know gardens were part of that offer. What is stopping them from already being that . I think they are, to a degree. Tourism accounts for £24 billion of foreign exports to the uk economy at the moment. Gardens are worth about 3 million of that. We know there is lots more that can be done. We can get many more International Visitors out of london. 54 to stay in the capital and go go into the regions. Gardens are a part of that. It is also a knowledge thing, about marketing and product and drawing us together so people know where they can go, what is on offer, and come to quarry bank. Eleanor, do you want to quarry bank. Eleanor, do you want to add anything to do that to get people here . Yes, think it is simply about telling the story. We have the product. All over the country there are beautiful gardens, the National Trust looks after 200 and there are many others. We need to work with partners to promote the story, which we are so partners to promote the story, which we are so proud of. What about the cost side of things . Is it expensive to visit places like this and could there be something done around that . There is a mixture of things. You can come somewhere there is a mixture of things. You can come somewhere like this that is very reasonable and have a fantastic day out with the family, especially if you are a National Trust member. We also have the highest and garden products in the world. You go to somewhere like the Chelsea Flower Show a couple of months ago, and how people coming from across the world to see how good we are at garden design, the type of things we do around gardens, not just design, the type of things we do around gardens, notjust the gardening itself but the product side of it. We know we are so good at this and we could do so much more. I know the insects like it. There were a couple crawling on you. They clearly like having you here. Thank you very much your time this morning. They appreciate that. That is it from me for now. I will show you more of the gardens. Fantastic views. It is beautiful. It is really lovely. Thank you very much. That is a proper greenhouse. A serious greenhouse. Elsewhere, there are temporary traffic lights on tower bridge road northbound. Thats at the junction with tooley street. Now the weather with rich. Hello. Good morning. After a humid night last night its going to be staying fairly hot and quite humid through the rest of this week. Were expecting to see quite a bit of sunshine and those temperatures are really set to soar. But for this morning, well, quite a bit of cloud around to start off the day. But eventually it is going to burn through lunchtime and through this afternoon as well. So a dry, clear, Sunny Afternoon in store. And well see temperatures, well, there could be up at 28 or 29 celsius. So quite a warm start to this week. And as we go into tonight well see some late sunshine through the evening and by the early hours of tomorrow morning maybe just a bit of cloud beginning to building up. But it will be staying dry and still feeling fairly mild. Weve got temperatures down to 14 15 celsius at the lowest. So quite a warm start to things through tomorrow. As we go through tomorrow, cloud around through the morning, but more sunshine expected through tuesday and the rest of the week. And you can see those temperatures there picking up to 34, maybe even 35, so quite a hot and sunny week ahead. Very hot indeed. Dont forget your suncream. Vanessa feltz has more on the tory leadership race. That concludes tomorrow. Goodbye for now. Good morning, welcome to breakfast with dan walker and louise minchin. Our headlines today voting closes today as conservative Party Members decide who they want to be the next Prime Minister Boris Johnson orjeremy hunt. Gangs of mystery men dressed in white t shirts attack dozens of activists in hong kong, after another day of chaotic pro democracy protests. The partys probably still going on for shane lowry, who stormed to victory at the open championship. The irishman dominated to win his first major title by six shots, in front of a raucous crowd at royal portrush in Northern Ireland. Good morning from cheshire, we are talking about garden tourism, worth about £3 billion to the economy every year, i am looking at what we can do to improve that. Good morning from london, the newly opened wild swimming venue, you might be wanting to heads toward the water safely in the next two days, because by day and by night, it is going to be hot and humid. More in 15 minutes. Its monday the 22nd ofjuly, our top story. The contest to choose the next conservative leader and Prime Minister comes to an end today. Conservative Party Members who have not yet chosen between borisjohnson and jeremy hunt must make sure their ballot papers are submitted by five oclock this afternoon. The winner will be announced tomorrow. Lets get more from our political correspondent, jonathan blake, whos in westminster. 0h, oh, jonathan, good morning, weeks of talking about it, we are in the final straight now. Not long to go now, the deadline is five oclock this evening, as you say, and then tomorrow morning the winner of the contest will be announced, and they will take up the job of Prime Minister the day after, on wednesday, after theresa may gives her last appearance at Prime Ministers questions in the house of commons, goes to buckingham palace, and formally resigns in front of the queen. Brexit, of course, has dominated this contest, and it is going right to the wire, with Boris Johnson writing in the Daily Telegraph this morning, in familiar terms, likening delivering brexit to getting a man to the moon and back, saying if humanity can achieve that, there is no reason we cant find Technological Solutions to avoid border checks on goods crossing between Northern Ireland and the republic of ireland, that crucial issue, the reason the backstop is in the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated by theresa may and the eu. The question, really, is if it is Boris Johnson that wednesdays contest, as expected, how he will deliver brexit by the end of october, if it is with a deal, given that the eu have said time and again they are not willing to renegotiate it, will it be, then, without a deal . And will he be able to get that through without Parliament Getting in the way . Because it is worth remembering this morning that even though there will bea morning that even though there will be a new Prime Minister on wednesday, a new cabinet, a lot of things will change come about some very important things will not change the eu position remains that it wont renegotiate the deal struck with theresa may, there is a wafer thin majority for the new Prime Minister in parliament, making it very difficult to get things done, and also a good lot of tory mps who are very willing to retire to the backbenches and make life difficult for the new Prime Minister. Thank you, jonathan, we will be speaking to former brexit secretary dominic raab about his thoughts on the next conservative leader at about 8 30am. The liberal democrats will announce the result of their leadership contest later today. Jo swinson and ed davey have been vying for the position after the current leader, sir vince cable, said in march that he would be stepping down. The result of the contest will be announced this afternoon. The Prime Minister theresa may will chair a meeting of the governments Emergency Committee, cobra, later today to decide how to deal with the seizure of a British Oil Tanker by iran. Troops from the Iranian Revolutionary guard boarded the ship on friday after tehran said it was violating International Maritime rules. The foreign secretary, jeremy hunt, is expected to press for an International Diplomatic response rather than immediate sanctions. Its emerged the Security Firm g4s has made more than £14 million for running an immigration removal site at the centre of abuse allegations. Six members of staff were dismissed from brook house near gatwick following incidents of verbal and physical abuse filmed by the bbcs Panorama Programme two years ago. The Home Office Said it was working with g4s to make improvements. 30 people have been injured, nine of them seriously, in wildfires across central portugal. More than 1300 firefighters are tackling the flames, which Authorities Say are now mostly under control. Police are investigating several cases of suspected arson. They have made one arrest so far. A senior whirlpool executive has apologised to customers affected by the saga of dangerous tumble dryers sold for 11 years in the uk. Vice president jeff noel said the firm is now offering free replacements or partial refunds after an earlier programme of repairs was judged as insufficient. Heres our personal finance correspondent simon gompertz. A design fault in the dryers has caused 750 fires so far. Lint from clothing can fall on the heating element and catch alight. Whirlpool has been sending engineers to make a repair, but the recall demanded by ministers means it will have to go much further. For the faulty dryers branded hotpoint, creda, indesit, swan and proline it will have to offer a free replacement or an upgrade and discount, costing no more than £99, or a refund of up to £150 depending on the age of the dryer. The fact is, we have inconvenienced people. Theres probably been some confusion in terms of the messaging. The fact is, in many of those cases, we do apologise to our customers, to those who may have been confused, and its an opportunity to say we are sorry, but its also an opportunity to say we want to do more. Were not stopping where weve been over the last four years. The recall comes a full four years since the problem with the dryers was identified, and even now, contacting those with the remaining appliances could be a challenge. There could be 500,000 out there still being used. An emotional shane lowry has paid tribute to the support of his family after winning the open at portrush in Northern Ireland. Hed begun his round to deafening expectation, but his opening swing suggested the nerves were jangling, and his four shot lead was down to three. Not for long, though. Soon it was the shane show lowry back to his best and the crowd loved it. Great shot with conditions bordering on the farcical, his only challenger, tommy fleetwood, saw his hopes slip away, and from there, it was a march to glory, lowry lapping up the moment before a tap in for triumph. And ireland, there is your champion. Portrush could start the party, and after embracing his wife and daughter, he paid tribute to his parents. They sacrificed so much for me when i was younger, and im so happy i can hand them this trophy tonight. Last but not least, the volunteers and all the fans. I mean, thank you so much. This ones for you. And 150 miles south at his home club in esker hills, for them and their star player, an unforgettable day. Well, the return of the open here to Northern Ireland was always going to be emotional, but this was something else. Rarely has this famous event seen a more popular champion. Andy swiss, bbc news, royal portrush. We will be live at the course later speaking to the head pro there, who got to play on saturday and sunday to make the numbers up. Dirty play well . I think he shot in the high 70s, very tough conditions, but a stunning birdie on the 17th on saturday. Maybe i asked too much protestors returning from mass pro democracy demonstrations in hong kong have been attacked by gangs of unidentified men armed with sticks. 45 people have been injured, one critically. It follows weeks of protests over an extradition deal with Mainland China. We can speak to our correspondent celia hatton, whos in beijing for us this morning. Morning to you, the first question, what is the response from where you are . Well, the response has been very quiet when it comes to the violence that occurred at that train station, beijing has had very little to say about that group of men dressed in white who attacked a group of pro democracy protesters, although the beijing government has had a lot to say about earlier violence that occurred when that massive pro democracy demonstration that you mentioned took a turn at the police were hoping it wouldnt, a turn towards the china liaison office, the office in charge of communications between chinas central government, its communist government in beijing, and the hong kong authorities. Protesters in hong kong authorities. Protesters in hong kong gathered around that office, caused a lot of damage, and it ended in clashes again between pro democracy protesters and police, police eventually using rubber bullets and tear gas. Now, the beijing authorities have condemned that incident, saying it was a blatant challenge the central government, and that the challenge will not be tolerated. So some very Strong Language coming out of beijing today in reference to that incident, but very little to be said about the incident happened a few hours later at that train station. As you say, very little known about these people, they were wearing white shirts, any indication who they were, why that might have happened . Well, there is a lot of speculation. Many people who have been analysing this footage, police, i should say, have said they tried to make some arrests but could not find anybody responsible, so there isa find anybody responsible, so there is a lot of anger in hong kong, a lot of finger pointing at police, asking why they took so long to respond to emergency calls yesterday evening, why they didnt show up. It is reported for at least one hour after they were first called. And so the accusations that are flying in hong kong is that police have been tolerating this violence and that there are suspicions that these group was a gang of organised. It was probably an organised criminal gang, perhaps paid by was probably an organised criminal gang, perhaps paid by those was probably an organised criminal gang, perhaps paid by those who really wa nt gang, perhaps paid by those who really want to squelch these pro democracy protests. Is ok, celia, thank you so much for that, thank you. Bailiffs will have to wear body mounted video cameras under new rules designed to stop aggressive behaviour. The government says it will help protect Vulnerable People in debt, but campaigners say more needs to be done. Introducing the requirements for bailiffs to wear these cameras by itself will do very little to protect people from aggressive bailiffs. Currently we see bailiffs routinely breaking the rules that govern their behaviour because its really, really hard for people to hold them to account without an independent regulator to oversee the use of these cameras to make sure that video footage is being watched by people who are independent, that will protect the Vulnerable People where bailiffs do mistreat them. Its prince georges sixth birthday today, and Kensington Palace has marked the occasion with some new photographs. One of the pictures, which were all taken by the duchess of cambridge, show him in an england football shirt. Another shows the young prince on holiday. Very nice pictures. Loads to talk about, and i were left to the programme this morning. You wont catch many people saying they cant wait to wake up on monday morning, but thats what shane lowry said yesterday after winning the open. That is assuming he has gone to bed, yeah the 32 year old irishman said his first major victory, achieved in the wind and rain of royal portrush, felt like an out of body experience. Well, it really happened. Lets take a quick look at how he won. Very much enjoying the dramatic music there gary mcneill is the head professional at royal portrush. Hes back at the course this morning. There is a very long delay on the line, there might be a bit of a gap between me asking the question and carry responding, but, gary, what a tournament, brilliant hosting by royal portrush, yourself and eve ryo ne royal portrush, yourself and everyone involved, give us an idea of what the last 12 hours have been like there. It hasjust been incredible, you know, the scenes here yesterday when shane lifted the claretjug were really special, and no, it is marvellous, three or 40 yea rs of no, it is marvellous, three or 40 years of preparation has gone into this, and to see it all come together and go so well, we are so pleased and so relieved that everything went well. You know shane really well, give us an idea of how much this will mean to him, and what it means to irish golf fans as well. Well, i mean, shane had so much support here yesterday, and, you know, unfortunately rory mcilroy didnt make the cut, and i think eve ryo ne didnt make the cut, and i think everyone was rooting for shane, hoping he would go on and lift the claretjug, and it means so much to him. He had a great opportunity to wina him. He had a great opportunity to win a major championship at the us open at oakmont a few years ago and just faltered on the last day, so to finally get over the line and when that first major championship, and to win the open as well, i am sure he is feeling over the moon today. For those just tuning in, he is feeling over the moon today. For thosejust tuning in, there is a long delay on the line, about seven seconds, but we will persist. It was lovely to see padraig harrington, a former major winner himself, and Graeme Mcdowell waiting for shane lowry just off the 18th Graeme Mcdowell waiting for shane lowryjust off the 18th green to congratulate him, and so many of his fellow professionals have said congratulations. And not in that glib fashion, but really heartfelt delight at somebody like shane winning this open championship, because Everybody Knows, in the conditions we saw at royal portrush, particularly yesterday, how big an achievement that is. Shane is a very popular player, you know, he is a happy go lucky, very popular player, you know, he is a happygolucky, very jovial popular player, you know, he is a happy go lucky, veryjovial guy, very popular amongst his peers and, you know, in golf in ireland, it is a very close knit thing here, we all drew up playing amateur championships and tournaments here, and Everybody Knows everybody else, and Everybody Knows everybody else, and it was really nice to see padraig there and graeme and quite a number of other guys who had stayed on to wish him well at the very end. Anyone who enjoys the golf will have seen you anyone who enjoys the golf will have seen you playing over the weekend, i have seen your swing when i was at portrush a few years ago, i know you area portrush a few years ago, i know you are a great golfer with a great pedigree, but there was an odd number of players in the final two micrograms, so number of players in the final two micrograms, so you number of players in the final two micrograms, so you had to play as a marker. What was it like, hitting your tee shot . Were you a bit nervous yourself . I was terrified yes, i got the call on friday evening, just to say there was a odd number, and was i still prepared to go ahead with it . And so i put myself forward for this quite a number of months ago, and so it is a 5050 number of months ago, and so it is a 50 50 shot, if there is an order number, and luckily for me it was an odd number this year, and so i got the opportunity to go out with paul waring in the first group, about 9 30am. There was a lot of people here, it was pretty nerve wracking getting off the first tee, but he was lovely to play with, really made me feel at ease, and we had a really nice round, and again yesterday, i played with ashton turner, the young english professionalfrom lincolnshire, playing in his second open, and he shot a cracking round yesterday, 68, three under par, and he put together a really good round. It was great fun, i thoroughly enjoyed it, yeah, and i dont think ill enjoyed it, yeah, and i dont think ill get the opportunity to do that again. It was great, congratulations to everyone at royal portrush for putting on an incredible tournament, which i know so many golf fans have enjoyed, particularly shane lowry. I could bore you about golf for ever, but it is significant when you think 230,000 but it is significant when you think 230 , 000 tickets but it is significant when you think 230,000 tickets sold in record time for a tournament which is then won by an irishman in ireland, it is fantastic for irish golf and for shane lowry and for everyone involved at royal portrush. And you did well without seven second delay that is longer than the moon hopefully no delays getting to carol who is at the sight of a beautiful place for open water swimming, morning. Good morning, everyone, iam out backing in place to park in london, a newly opened wild swimming venue, it was developed from money from the National Lottery heritage fund, and the idea is that eve ryo ne heritage fund, and the idea is that everyone can use it in the heart of an inner city borough, and it is not just for the hard core wild swimmers. The lake is 3. 5 metres deep, 11 feet in some parts. Now, it is warming up quite nicely in london, currently 19 degrees, is warming up quite nicely in london, currently19 degrees, but is warming up quite nicely in london, currently 19 degrees, but in liverpool the outside temperature at the moment is 21 degrees, and the forecast for this week is hot and humid. Temperatures will get up to about 35, possibly 36 in parts of the south east by day, and by night not falling lower than 25 degrees. Hot and not falling lower than 25 degrees. Hotand humid not falling lower than 25 degrees. Hot and humid by day and night, by day heavy rain across the north west, gusty winds as well, and later in the week, tuesday night into wednesday, some thundery downpours. All the heat is coming from the near continent, you can see the wind arrows dragging it up from france and spain. In fact, arrows dragging it up from france and spain. Infact, in paris arrows dragging it up from france and spain. In fact, in paris this week, we could hit 42 celsius, that would exceed its Current Record of 40 celsius not necessarily a record we want to be breaking. A cloudy start with drizzle in the south west and wales this morning, rain and the north west has been heavyin rain and the north west has been heavy in the Lake District, moving away from Northern Ireland as well, resting in western scotland, where it will be heavy. For the rest of us, cloud breaking, sunny spells, up to 30 celsius in the south eastern corner, but widely the high 20s all the mid 20s. Now, through the evening and overnight, the cloud will come back in, rain will be ensconced in northern scotland, overnight lows falling to a sticky 1418 overnight lows falling to a sticky 14 18 degrees. Tomorrow morning the cloud continuing to break, leaving us with a dry, sunny and warm day, rain clearing from the north west, tomorrows temperatures higher than today, widely in the 20s or the low 30s, but in the south east we are expecting to see about 34 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will fall in london at midnight to about 25 degrees, in edinburgh 21, and in cardiff 21. In the likes of belfast, probably 18 or 19, but at the same time thunderstorms from the south west and south, moving northwards into scotland, Northern Ireland, Northern England on wednesday. Behind it, sunshine coming through, but we are also looking at highs of 34 or 35 in the south east. But thursday looks like being the warmest day of this week. Well, we have been warned thank you to everyone who has been sending in tips about keeping cool, hopefully we can read some later. My ipad is talking to me, very frustrating i dont know why it is doing really weird things i need to get a new one. We will have to ban you from your phone i even touched it we will return to one of our top stories. The Prime Minister, theresa may, will chair a meeting of the governments Emergency Committee, cobra, later today to decide how to deal with the seizure of a British Oil Tanker by iran. Iranian troops boarded the ship on friday after tehran said it was violating International Maritime rules. Its thought that britain will push for an International Diplomatic response. Lets get more on this now from our security correspondent frank gardner, whos in our london newsroom this morning. Morning, frank, i know you will have been following this closely, how dangerous is the situation . Well, it is pretty dangerous, because it wouldnt take much to turn this into a full blown conflict, and that is what both sides are trying to avoid. There are two issues here, louise. There are two issues here, louise. The first is the visible one, the problem of Maritime Security in the gulf. We have seen attacks on tankers, very graphic footage that you have got of the iranian commandos in ski masks coming down, fast roping down onto the tanker to seize it, taking it off, and this is irans reaction to britain impounding a tanker, British Forces helping the gibraltarians impound one of the tanker is a few days ago. At the far bigger issue is the nuclear accord. America has pulled out of it, europe is trying to stay in it. Meanwhile, iran is suffocating under sanctions. So the dilemma, the problem for the government, and remember, the government, and remember, the government is about to change in this country, so this cobra meeting, which stands for Cabinet Office briefing room, it has nothing to do with snakes, they have got to try and find a way through this without escalating it. There is a reluctance, both in london and in european capitals, to be seen to be tying a military force too closely to the american flag. The americans have offered help, they are trying to put together a maritime false, but britain doesnt want to be seen to be doing americasjob but britain doesnt want to be seen to be doing americas job for it on iran, because there are some very hawkish voices in washington that are basically, whether they will admit it or not, are pushing for regime change in tehran. So you have given us a sense that it is very tricky diplomacy. In the meantime, there is this tanker, they have got hold of it, there are people on board, what happens to them . hold of it, there are people on board, what happens to them . I think they will be kept safe. They have been taken to a report called banda abbas, i have been there three times, a huge strategic port on the southern coast, and they are being questioned, and i think it is very unlikely they will be mistreated. Iran will probably want to hang onto the tanker as a bargaining chip until it gets its own back, which is being held by the gibraltarians authorities for the next 30 days. They see this as tit for tat. Britain says it is not as simple as that the one that britain helped seas off gibraltar was busting eu sanctions and taking oil illegally to syria, iran says no, it was perfectly legitimate, both sides accuse the other of maritime piracy. So you asked at the beginning, how tense, how volatile this is it really is very volatile, because shipping is on maximum alert, the British Government has warned ships to avoid the area, but remember, this is a strategic choke point, where a fifth of the worlds oil and a third of the gas passes through it is important, and i need to sort it is important, and i need to sort it out. Thank you for your analysis. We have got the England Netball Team on the way, but first the news, travel and weather where you are. Good morning. Its all about the heat this week. Its going to turn very heat this week. Its going to turn very warm heat this week. Its going to turn very warm if not hot for many of us and fora very warm if not hot for many of us and for a few of us, uncomfortably hot. Increasingly hot and humid, some rain in the north west through today and some thundery downpours, not going to be completely sunny but we drawing a southerly or southeasterly wind bringing heat from france and through the low countries. Temperatures in paris 42 degrees, in the london area 35 36 possibly 37 degrees by thursday. This morning, i mention we have rain, that mainly affecting the west of scotland, continuing for much of the day to day, rain clearing from Northern Ireland and the north west of england, sunshine developing here and here and some sunny spells in the east of scotland. Maximum temperature is 22 25d, widely for england and wales, 26 29 maybe even 30 degrees in eastern england. Through tonight, the rain across the north west of scotland continues for a time, quite a bit of cloud starting to develop overnight tonight, temperatures no lower than 1416d, tonight, temperatures no lower than 14 16d, quite uncomfortable for some of us. Into tuesday, any cloud we start off with will burn away, for england and wales lots of sunshine, sunshine developing in Northern Ireland and scotland, even hotter on tuesday afternoon, widely temperatures 28 32 or 33 degrees in the south east, even across scotland and Northern Ireland. Through tuesday evening around 10pm temperatures are still mid to high 20s, very uncomfortable night for sleeping tuesday and into wednesday and on top of that, some thundery showers moving in across parts of south west england, wales, moving north and east words but they will clear during wednesday. Another hot day expected with lots of sunshine, temperatures again for most of us, getting into the mid to high 20s and low 30s. Goodbye for now. This is business live from bbc news with ben thompson and sally bundock. As Tensions Mount in the persian gulf, Oil Prices Head higher.
