Applause jeremy hunt, undimmed by thejoke, started his pitch by saying he is the one to be trusted to deliver brexit, and while he hasnt ruled out leaving without a deal, warned against ignoring parliaments opposition to that plan. But comments that emerged in february about allegations of anti semitism in the party led to his suspension. Because in my opinion, we have backed off too much. Weve given too much ground, weve been too apologetic. He later said he deeply regretted the remarks, and today said that he is pleased to have been let back in. Ive been overwhelmed by an avalanche of messages of goodwill from grassroots members of the labour party, and that is what constitutes the labour party, actually. Its a grassroots membership, of which there are approaching 600,000. I wouldnt say its the consensus, but the overwhelming majority of opinion is supportive of the decision to reinstate me into the labour party. But over 100 labour mps and peers have in a statement demanded the decision be overturned, claiming i wouldnt normally do this, but this is so important, the upset and the anger is so great, that i think we need to act very swiftly to reassure people we take anti semitism seriously in the labour party. Meeting veterans in hartlepool today, before the statement emerged, Jeremy Corbyn is being urged to show leadership, withdraw the party whip. Labour says it cannot comment on individual cases, but takes all complaints extremely seriously. I wasnt involved in the decision at all. It was an independent panel set up through the national executive. They examined the case and they decided to admit him back in, albeit with a reprimand. Tonight a member of the panel that ruled on Chris Williamsons readmission, the mp keith vaz, has said the decision should be reconsidered. El salvador is Central Americas smallest country, but has one of the worlds highest crime rates. She says telling her children was one of the hardest things. And you can honestly say, i dont know. Every year in the uk, more than 3,000 women are diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, and around 800 die of the disease. But there is a vaccine against the human papilloma virus, or hpv, that causes it, and new Research Published in the lancet seems to suggest the vaccine is becoming a game changer. Researchers gathered data from 65 studies involving a huge 60 Million People worldwide. They found that after eight years of vaccinations, there was a drop of 83 in hpv infections in girls aged 15 19, and 66 in 20 24 year olds. And cases of precancerous growths halved in teenage girls and were down almost a third in young women. The impact of the combination of the vaccine and cervical screening is huge. We diagnose 3,200 women with Cervical Cancer every year and one or two women are dying every single day. Every single one of those diagnoses has the potential to be a preventable diagnosis and a preventable death. Hpv is spread through sexual contact. Currently in the uk, girls aged 12 and 13 are given two vaccinations, but hpv can also cause genital cancers in men. From september, 12 and 13 year old boys in england will alsojoin the Vaccination Programme with the rest of the uk to follow. Mandy has now been cancer free for four years. Shes just relieved her children will be protected from the disease. The Food Delivery Company uber eats has tightened the way restaurants sign up to its service, after bbc news successfully registered a fake takeaway on the site and began processing orders.
