The dakota daks are the very planes that dropped the first Airborne Assault troops in normandy as the invasion got under way 75 years ago. My colleaguejohn maguire is there for us. As you were saying, around 22 dakota aircraft will be taking off from duxford in temperature, flying across the channel over northern france, and there will be people pa rachuting, france, and there will be people parachuting, probably france, and there will be people pa rachuting, probably around france, and there will be people parachuting, probably around 200 or Something Like that. They have been getting their kit together, many will be dressed in original world war ii looking kit, using military parachutes, doing the jumps as would have been done on d day. We know that d day was delayed by 24 hours because of the weather. Many of his friends spoke about how he was suffering from depression before his death, and the police woman who was the first person on the coroner that there was a small black notebook next to mike, and there was a diary with positive thoughts, but also a series of notes to be given to his family. Joining us now is Helen Morrissey from the Royal London Group a pensions specialist. What is going to be reviewed today at the high court . We have had a steady track where pension ages four women have been increased, so not so long ago the state pension age was 65. The government put plans in place to do step changes to bring it up place to do step changes to bring it up to 65, to be in line with men. But what they women have an issue with is the speed at which the changes were brought through, and how they were communicated. So youre hearing about women who were maybe 58, 59, thinking they would retire at 60, but then finding out the retirement age would be 65. Are we expecting to hear any changes at the end of today, or is this just a review and how it has been communicated . It is a two day review, and they will look closely at how the government has communicated the changes. So, the government said at the time they had had a communication campaign, with letters, adverts in the press and everything, but it is about whether those ladies actually were able to receive those communications, did they read the newspapers, did they receive letters . They will look closely at those kind of things. So, lots of issues about how this was communicated to women. And lots of the Campaign Group say that the ladies are massively out yes, we are hearing stories about ladies who are planning on getting a state pension age 16, finding out it was 65 pension age 60. Some were unable to continue working but some were at a point where they could not continue to work in the jobs they were doing, and they have faced real financial hardship. What can women in these positions do, can they get advice about how they could perhaps make up the gap they are now facing . With a judicial review, they are looking at whether this was the right decision for the government to make, and there is a chance that the judicial review could quash the changes, so what the ladies are after is that they would get the money back. We are hearing some ladies saying that they could be owed 40,000 plus. We need to see what comes out of the review, but what i would say to eve ryo ne review, but what i would say to everyone is that you do need to check your state pension age, as we are living longer, we are going to see state pension age continue to increase, and we need to keep an idea and keep checking to make sure youre targeting the right age.
