Another day for a warm jacket. The sunshine is out later, then the showers come through again. This weekend could it be turning more dry . Ill have more in 15 minutes. Good morning. First, our main story. North korea has fired another Ballistic Missile over northern japan, for the second time in three weeks, prompting the japanese government to warn millions of people to take cover. The us secretary of state, rex tillerson, urged china and russia to take direct action against pyongyang. Japan called it an outrageous act. The missile travelled 2,300 miles, further than in previous tests, passing over the japanese island of hokkaido, before coming down in the Pacific Ocean. It comes three days after the Un Security Council voted to impose tougher sanctions on north korea following its most recent nuclear test. From seoul, Stephen Mcdonell reports. The south Korean Response was swift. It launched its own missiles into the sea following north koreas Ballistic Missile test. This region is again on high alert. In seoul, president moonjae in called an emergency meeting of the national Security Council. He said, in this climate, dialogue is impossible, adding that his country must prepare for potential attacks from the north, including biological and chemical weapons. Earlier, north korea test fired a Ballistic Missile, the first such launched since the latest round of sanctions against the isolated regime. It flew 3,700 kilometres, landing in the Pacific Ocean according to south koreas joint chiefs of staff. The missile passed over the northern japanese island of hokkaido, setting off alarms there. Warnings went out in the media and directly to telephones, urging people to seek emergency shelter. Translation we absolutely cannot accept these provocations. I call for an emergency United NationsSecurity Council meeting. The International Community needs to come together and send a clear message to north korea that it is threatening world peace with its actions. Meanwhile, north korea is showing no signs of slowing down the speed of its Nuclear Weapons development. Recent celebrations marking its sixth and Largest Nuclear test were televised. Having a Nuclear Weapons capability has become kim jong uns signature policy, so the government here in seoul as well as other nations must be left wondering what the carrot, what stick, they could possibly use to convince his regime to give up this programme. And we can get the very latest now from Stephen Mcdonell, whos in our seoul newsroom. We heard from the japanese prime minister, the reaction to this latest missile testing. Whats been the reaction in south korea . The biggest reaction of course was south korea carrying out its own missile test. Weve been having a look at the timing of this and there are some pretty grim calculations to be made. That was six minutes after north korea tested its missile, meaning they were ready to go and prepare to send a message back to north korea, north korea. That south Korean Missile was fired 250 kilometres, the same as north koreas. South korea fired its 3700 kilometres across japan and into the pacific, the same distance as the us island of guam. So they are both sending pretty clear messages and we arent seeing any sign that there is arent seeing any sign that there is a way to move toward talks. It doesnt seem to matter how much pressure is piled on north korea, theyre not going to give up those Nuclear Weapons without some sort of dialogue. Thanks for the moment. After one of the longest voyages of discovery in the history of Space Exploration, Nasas Cassini probe is on its final mission, a mission to self destruct. The £3 the £3 three billion pound probe will ditch later today. It has discovered frozen seas and earth like moons, and taken us closer than ever to saturns rings but now, running low on fuel, it has been set on a crash course, as Rebecca Morelle reports. Closing in on oblivion. After 20 years of exploration, the cassini spacecraft running out of fuel, and has been set on a death dive into saturns thick atmosphere. Its a mission thats transformed our view of the giant planet and its rings. But for the scientists involved, saying goodbye will be tough. Well, ive worked on cassini for 30 years, and thats a big chunk of my career. So, as its ending, im feeling a tremendous sense of sadness sadness at the end of the mission, the breakup of the cassini family, and, at the same time, a tremendous source of pride. The spacecraft leaves an amazing legacy, from spotting saturns colossal storms to revealing the planets many moons. From titan, with its methane lakes and seas, to enceladus, with a liquid water ocean hidden beneath its icy crust, shooting plumes of vapour into space. But the discoveries will keep coming. This is the control room where the very final moments of cassini will be tracked, and every last drop of science is being squeezed out of this mission. As the spacecraft enters saturns atmosphere, the data will be streamed back here, right up until the very instant its destroyed. As cassini hurtles towards saturn, it will heat up and then vaporise, but, for scientists, the work wont be over. So much data has been collected, saturn could keep surprising for decades to come. Parts of Central London were brought to a standstill last night as 20,000 german fans turned up for Arsenals Europa League game against cologne without a ticket. Five people were arrested when disorder broke out after the match, and kick off was delayed by an hour, as andy moore reports. This was the first time the loan had played an International Club competition in 25 years. It is estimated 25,000 fans travelled to the match and many were on 0xford street yesterday afternoon. Police said some bottles were thrown and flares were set off, but there was no significant disorder. Later in the day outside the emirates stadium there were more scuffles. Police said five arrests were made for public disorder. The start of the game was delayed by one hour, as extra Police Officers were drafted into deal with the unexpected influx of cologne fans. 3000 tickets had been sold for a wave supporters but as the game got under way it was clear many german fans bought tickets in areas reserved for arsenal supporters. There were more scuffles inside the stadium. In cologne we always find a way to get tickets. It happens sometimes. Most of the cologne fans left in an orderly fashion, despite their 3 1 loss. Questions remain for arsenal about how the ticketing arrangements we re about how the ticketing arrangements were handled. Unions representing nurses and other nhs staff have written to the chancellor to demand a 3. 9 pay rise linked to inflation, to make up for the freeze in recent years. A Government Spokesperson said the priority was to ensure the overall Public Sector pay package was fair, while also being affordable to taxpayers. 14 unions have joined together to ask for the increase, which has also been sent to the devolved nations. More than 100 prisoners have been captured after escaping from a jail on the British Virgin islands, following hurricane irma. This is incredible. Thank you, dies, so much. Thank guys. Thank you to thejudges for thinking my much. Thank guys. Thank you to the judges for thinking my alba was good enough. Congratulations. Time to talk about the sport. What happened outside arsenal . It was a throwback to the things we used to see. But it was colognes first night in europe for 25 years, so first night in europe for 25 years, 03 first night in europe for 25 years, so a lot of people wanted to come to london. 20,000 fans turned up and they didnt have tickets they were Walking Around on the streets, ringing london to a standstill. They werent too chaotic, not much violence. If you put that amount of fans outside the stadium and there are only 3000 tickets and a lot of those people buy tickets from scales, you could say it is lucky there were only five arrests and no serious injuries. But obviously uefa will have to investigate what happened. Was there enough warning and preparation for these fans . Arsenal can only presumably police their ground and around the ground, but if fa ns wa nt to ground and around the ground, but if fans want to come to party, to celebrate their team being back in europe, how do you stop that . Luckily there werent any injuries and only five arrests. So a few crowd issues outside the emirates, but victory for arsenal on the pitch, Alexis Sanchez scoring one of their three second half goals as they came from behind to beat cologne 3 1 and start their Europa League campaign with a win. It was a dismal night for everton, though. They lost their Opening Group game 3 0 away at the italian side ata la nta. In the cricket, some time later today essex should clinch their first county championship title for 25 years. They beat warwickshire yesterday and their nearest rivals lancashire look like losing today, which would hand the title to essex. There was a dramatic night in super league. Wakefields liam finn missed this last minute drop goal, as hull held on to win 19 18. That victory puts them up into third. We get towards the end of the super eight and towards the play offs. Take this in a moment. Lets have a look at the weather forecast. Good morning. Lots of people expecting storms but also sunshine . Thats the story of the week. Another story of sunshine and showers today, but if you are about to head out and are waiting for a bus or train stick on a pair of warm socks, it is chilly. Temperatures widely into single figures. The cold spots down in central and southern england and parts of south east wales. Down to three degrees at the moment in thetford. In these areas weve got the coolest starts and also where there is a bit of sunshine. The wind is a bit lighter than yesterday, but it doesnt take much to make it feel distinguish elite. Temperatures rise quickly with the sunshine, but called for the next few hours. In the South West England and wales, lots of showers around. Some heavy ones too. A lot of clouds into Northern England, producing rain. But brightening up towards northumberland and cumbria. A few showers into scotland and Northern Ireland. Mainly those exposed to the north west winds. Further south, few showers. In fact, few showers today. The crowd in Northern England will break up and push through the midlands, bringing cloudy and wet conditions at times towards east anglia and the south east later today. Showers develop. Even if you stop a day with sunshine. The longest dry spells in south west scotland. But note temperatures are about 15 i6. Scotland. But note temperatures are about 15 16. Through the night any showers will clearer way, with more showers will clearer way, with more showers moving southwards. Almost the same position to the start of this morning, on saturday. Scotland and Northern Ireland, east anglia and Northern Ireland, east anglia and the south east, temperatures in single big ears. High pressure is trying to move to the west. Single figures. It looks like we will have the cloud running through. That pushes through Central England and wales through the morning, bringing showers and another one into scotland through the afternoon and into Northern Ireland, which could bring wet conditions. Notice the air gets even cooler. 12 could bring wet conditions. Notice the air gets even cooler. I2 13 across scotland and Northern Ireland. Hitand across scotland and Northern Ireland. Hit and miss showers for england and wales. As showers fate through the night into sunday morning it will be even colder still. Temperatures in rural areas cold enough on sunday morning for a bit of frost on the grass. So a cold start to sunday morning. The coldest of the mornings, in fact. A few showers on sunday in england and wales, but fewer than the past few days. A bit of sunshine in between. Scotla nd days. A bit of sunshine in between. Scotland and Northern Ireland largely dry and winds falling lighter after the chilly start. It should feel a bit warmer. 0ver lighter after the chilly start. It should feel a bit warmer. Over the next few days the cool feel continues. It feels like we have turned for good now, doesnt it . It certainly does, there is a long way to go in september but for the next week it will be the cool side to begin with. You are watching breakfast from bbc news. Could bilbao, the spanish port city, be the new migrant route to britain . That is the fear of local police, who have seen the number of people trying to stowaway on ferries bound forthe ukjump in the last 12 months. Almost a year after the infamous jungle migrant camp in calais was destroyed, is a new one emerging on the spanish coast . The bbcs gavin lee is in bilbao. Good morning. What have you been finding out . Good morning. What strikes me is the sudden emergence and the speed of the growth of this place. We are not talking the numbers of calais, 9000 people last year at its peak. But it is the police being caught off guard, suddenly people coming from notjust three makeshift camps. Most have emerged in the last few weeks, but also people coming from the surrounding hills where they have been hiding out in kent. People say they are making it through to the uk. In they are making it through to the uk. In tents. I have seen the number of tents in bilbao start to grow, this is what i have seen. Caught in bilbao. This is now the daily reality for spanish police, finding migrants trying to stowaway on ferry bound lorries to the uk. For migrants trying to find the backdoor to britain, the bilbao portsmouth ferries have become the targets. Amongst those detained is tabim, a 15 year old afghan who says he has given up on calais, and heading instead to bilbao. One year in calais, but now im trying in spain. Did somebody say to you, come to bilbao, it is easier. Yes, and i come to bilbao. As lorry drivers wait to be checked, they are being warned that they are being monitored by police and migrants are trying to get inside. Is this the new calais, bilbao . That is just more than anything, just doublechecking, making sure nothing is in your trailer. The ports across northern france have seen a drop in the number of migrant attempts to stow away, but police here say bilbao has seen a tenfold increase in the last year, with more than 1,000 attempts since summer. Well, this could be the start of europes newest migrant camp. We are 300m from the port of bilbao, and these tents, they emerged a few weeks ago. Now, the police say there are 70 people here, mostly from albania. But there are many more dotted around the hills and the countryside overlooking the port. This man has been hiding in the hills for weeks. He says other albanians are heading here, hoping to earn money working in the blackmarket in the uk. And it has become Common Knowledge that bilbao is difficult, but possible. Do you know of anybody whos managed to get to the uk undetected . Yeah, a few. A few got through . Yeah, a few got through, even. Even a week ago. For now, the locals continue to enjoy the september sun, opposite the small camps that are growing by the day. Brittany ferries say 61 Illegal Migrants have been detained after making it to the uk from here. Officials on both sides of the water are aware that they have to act quickly, to stop this port becoming an established route and a bigger problem. That is the thing that strikes me. It is ata that is the thing that strikes me. It is at a crossroads. British border officials realised at the weekend that this is on the radar and at the same time there is a crossover. You and at the same time there is a crossover. You have and at the same time there is a crossover. You have the municipality in the park, and people who believe there is a humanitarian situation, they want to help people with clothing and more tense. And while the parks and the makeshift camps are allowed, they believe, they will become a magnet for more tents. And at the moment the tents are still growing, and marginally they are still catching every single day, people in their dozens trying to get on board. Time for the news, travel and weather where you are. Good morning from bbc london news. Commuters are being warned they could face severe disruption this morning after a fire at a warehouse in North West London overnight. Hello, good morning. 20 of rainbows around yesterday, flying high above the capital, and spotted by our weather watchers. There will be more around today, as well. It is another day of sunny spells and showers. We have still got that chilly north westerly breeze, and you will notice just how cool it is to begin the morning, as well. Many of our temperatures had it right down to mid single figures. So it is a bright, sunny start. The showers will get going into the late morning and the late afternoon, and last for much of the rest of the day. The area is a little bit cooler than it was yesterday, highs between 1a and 16 celsius. A pleasant enough in the sunshine. Now, as we had through the evening and overnight the showers will fade away. Clear skies, staying dry overnight. Slightly dry winds. It could be cold enough for a touch of grass forest, maybe, in the more rural spots as we head into tomorrow morning, so another chilly start to the day tomorrow. Now, tomorrow very little difference. Still sunny spells and showers, but the winds are going to be an awful lot lighter, so the showers will be slow moving where we get them. There could be heavy and thundery, but they will be some sunny spells in between. Another cool night on saturday in the sunday. Sunday the better looking day of the weekend. Showers will still be around, but they will be lighter. Bye for now. Hello, this is breakfast, with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. North korea has fired another Ballistic Missile over northern japan, for the second time in three weeks, prompting the japanese government to warn millions of people to take cover. The us secretary of state, rex tillerson, urged china and russia to take direct action against pyongyang. Japan called it an outrageous act. From tokyo, our correspondent Rupert Wingfield hayes sent us this update. The difference between this and last months missile appears to be how high it flew and how far it flew. It looks like it flew to an altitude of about 770 kilometres and a total length of its flight of about 3700 kilometres. Thats considerably further than the missile that was fired last month. And it is what we expected to see. Both the us and its allies in japan and expected to see. Both the us and its allies injapan and south korea have been watching this launch, expecting this launch. It was first expected on saturday the ninth of september, that didnt happen, but theyve been watching the setup of this missile from satellites. So this wasnt an unexpected launch, but obviously it comes as a shock to people injapan. The alarms again went off in northern japan and in hokkaido people were told to get the shelter early in the morning. So people woken up by this in northern japan. The cassini probe will destroy itself this afternoon, after almost 20 years in space. Later today it will complete its mission, plunging towards saturns atmosphere at 76 mph. Itll gathering readings on the chemical composition of the planets gases before burning up. We are talking about more than just the game last night. 20,000 fans from cologne. 0nly the game last night. 20,000 fans from cologne. Only 3000 people got tickets and others got tickets by buying them off cows. 0nly five arrests. The police have to take credit. If that had been in cities may be abroad, when you see is fans turning up en masse, it gets very nasty. We will talk about later how they got the tickets, why they didnt realise so many people were coming over. We are yet to hear from you weigh far. They are expected to make a statement this morning. From uefa. We will speak to our correspondent from outside the emirates stadium at 8 30am. For the fans who did get in, it was after 9pm before it keep. It was again to savour. It was arsenals night, as they came from behind to beat cologne 3 1. The germans who were playing their first european game for 25 years, took the lead early on. And what a goal it was from jon cordoba. A moment for all those cologne fans who made it into the stadium to remember, but arsenal came back to score three times in the second half, including this brilliant solo effort from Alexis Sanchez. Post match reaction though centred on the events off the pitch. At some stage i thought they would not play the game because i could see the Police Taking any risk. I cant see. We live in a 100 Security Society and i thought we would never be able to play this game. They were very clever. I dont know how they managed to infiltrate the fans and get anywhere, but they did that very well. I dont know if they went through the membership on they went through the membership on the internet. More on that later. The other british club in Europa League action last night were everton who had a dismal night away at the italian side atalanta. They were beaten 3 0. This brilliant strike from Alejandro Gomez the pick of the goals. They show to us what you need to have when you play football. Thats a question to myself, what i did wrong. It is easy to criticise players, the team. Its easy to criticise little mistakes, but finally the team was not prepared in the first half and it was a shame. Really sorry for the fans. At some stage later today essex are likely to become county cricket champions for the first time in 25 years. Thats because they won their match against warwickshire yesterday while their only rivals for the title lancashire are on the verge of defeat to somerset. Essex won by an innings and 56 runs at edgbaston yesterday and anxiously waited for news on lancashires progress at taunton. They finished the day eight wickets down and with only a small lead, meaning essex will be crowned champions today if lancashire dont win. I couldnt have scripted it any better myself. What do you put it down to . I think determination. I say determination, i did very much give the game up, but thankfully i took the chance and came back. 0bviously took the chance and came back. Obviously a lot of people have helped me along the way, ricky much eve ryo ne helped me along the way, ricky much everyone in that dressing room has played a part. I bet they cant wait to get the champagne out later. In rugby league, hull have taken a huge step towards sealing a play off place after they hung on for a 19 18 victory over wakefield. Wakefield had this drop goal chance in the final minute to level the match but liam finn put it wide. They stay in fifth place while hull move up to third. Only the top four make the play offs. And there were birdies, but the wrong sort, on what was supposed to be day one of the final womens golf major of the year. Play was abandoned for the day at the evian championship in france, because of the heavy rain. The first group had completed just eight holes at the time. So the event is now a sit hole tournament starting this morning. There go the spectators, running for cover, unlike the ducks who made the most of the conditions. I cant bear it when that happens its so frustrating. Back to events last night, 20,000 fans. It was the first time cologne had been in the european match in 25 years and they we re european match in 25 years and they were making the most of it in london. Thank you, we are going to pick up on that. Joining us now is professor clifford stott, who specialises in crowd management at football matches. Just going through what they did know in advance. 2900 cologne fans we re know in advance. 2900 cologne fans were given a ticket. They knew 2900 we re were given a ticket. They knew 2900 were coming, because they had tickets. But we are told that some 20,000 arrived in london anyway. So from there the problems emerged. Yes, i think its clear that one of the narratives that is emerging in the narratives that is emerging in the media is about disorder. I think for us it should be about crowd safety. There is a long tradition and history of blaming fans when things go wrong, but i think all of the indications here are there as some serious crowd management failures. Take us through what you see. There was a lot of information available, that a large number of fa ns available, that a large number of fans beyond the allocation were going to travel. So there must have been an awareness that there was going to be a situation where fans in large numbers would arrive in london. Those fans have a culture where fans marched to a stadium en masse and there didnt seem to be any anticipation of that, any measures in place. So it led to a situation where they closed the main access bridges to the stadium and that prevented anybody getting into the stadium. There were lots of crowd safety issues. Again, i think the discussion should be about crowd safety a nd the discussion should be about crowd safety and not about crowd violence. Just go back to the travel point, who should have told the police all warned the police . The travel companies, the railways, the airlines . How does that change communication wise . Theres a strong principle of principles around which matches like this should be played. They are written in the Eu International guidance and its about what we called risk assessment, facilitation and you can achieve a lot of control of the crowds through those processes. And there doesnt appear to have been much facilitation. For example, where there an expectation of large numbers of fans travelling it could be the case that you put them in an area where there is a public screen. It encourages people to go into those environments and it keeps them away from stadium. There were only five arrests, which sounds positive. It is and i think again. It sounds like it was managed quite well. It is and i think again. It sounds like it was managed quite wellm is certainly evidence of the fact that this shouldnt be seen in terms of disorder, this is about ticket management, about what we call risk assessment, understanding the situation evolving and developing with fans gathering in these fields and an expectation that they would march. That doesnt seem to have that into the response that would manage that reality in a way that wouldnt lead to a delay of the fixture, they need to close down the bridges and so on. There are number of u na nswered bridges and so on. There are number of Unanswered Questions that will emerge. What would appear is that many more than the 2900 cologne fans ended up in the stadium, but they didnt force their way in, they had tickets. The question is, how do away fans get the tickets . They surely cant have bought thousands from cow outside the ground touts. That again raises questions about who has the tickets and what restrictions there are. |j about who has the tickets and what restrictions there are. I think a lot of social media chat yesterday was about touts selling these tickets, but i cant see how it would be viable but that many people would be viable but that many people would have bought the tickets prior to entering. There have to be serious questions asked about how arsenal handled the distribution of those tickets. Can you follow that through . I was exploring it on the internet and i understand the tickets did go on general sale, so it may well have been the case that german fans were buying these tickets from the club on general sale. Again, that information may well have been available to the club, at least that tickets were going to germany and that could have fed into a better planning process that may have been able to handle the situation better than it was last night. Very interesting. Thank you for your time this morning. Frost is back not you, you are not frosty, youre is back not you, you are not frosty, you re lovely nobody wants to hear that word in september. But there could potentially be a bit of frost around this weekend. Not this morning. A lovely start for many. But it is chilly. These were the temperatures at six a. M. Parts of east anglia 34 at six a. M. Parts of east anglia 3 4 degrees. Widely temperatures are in single figures. If you are heading out, be prepared. Sunshine to go with the cold weather in east anglia, the midlands. A dry start. The wind is lighter than yesterday, but it doesnt take much breeze to make it feel chilly. A bit more cloud for the rest of england and wales. Lots of showers around, especially on the hills. 0utbreaks of rain in parts of yorkshire and lincolnshire. They are already breaking up in parts of cumbria and northumberland. Not a bad start in scotla nd northumberland. Not a bad start in scotland and for some of southern Northern Ireland. With the breeze coming from the north, parts of southern scotland is the driest. Some will get a largely dry day. Likely showers will crop up in the afternoon. Maybe longer spells of rain in the lincolnshire and east anglia this afternoon. Still plenty of showers in wales. Elsewhere the showers are hit and miss. There could be heavy in england and wales. In the sunshine the temperatures 15 16 degrees. Into the evening showers continue for a time and we continue to see them feeding in some parts of this in england. Last night there is similarto this in england. Last night there is similar to the nightjust gone. Either side of that, clear skies over scotland, Northern Ireland, east anglia as well and so temperatures here back down on the single figures. High pressure trying to building from the but low pressure pills dominant and low pressure pills dominant and low pressure helps feed in the cloud. It keeps the breeze brisk in the east of scotland. This is where we could see frequent bursts of rain. Some pushing into Northern Ireland through the afternoon. Like recent days sunshine and showers sums it up. The odd rumble of thunder in southern england. Drying out in northern scotland later i temperatures only about 12 13. As the showers gradually fade into saturday night and into sunday morning the temperatures drop and here comes that word you really dont want to hear. Temperatures widely down into single figures, evenin widely down into single figures, even in towns and cities, and low enoughin even in towns and cities, and low enough in the countryside in many parts of the country, especially the north and west, for a touch of frost to start sunday morning. Just here and there. Despite the chilly start it will be partly dry and bright. 0nly it will be partly dry and bright. Only a few showers, mainly in parts of england. The further west you are the more likely it will stay dry and with lighter winds it should feel less chilly. Certainly over the next few days and this morning it is on a cold start. As someone on a boat in southampton will probably attest to that person needs lots of leaders this morning. I hope you warned them i think i did. I cant remember. We can go to the seaside, and the southampton boat show. All those beautiful, expensive boats on display. The very biggest boat to the rights, to the back there, we can see ben, and he will give us a wave. He always gets the biggest one, dont you, ben . I know you might be mistaking me for one of these mast is, but i have found the most expensive one. We are down at the southampton boat show, a lot of visitors expected to pass through over the next nine days, showing off all sorts of things. The best of the industry. It is a booming industry in the uk, which made 10,000 boats last year. As far as voting is concerned, the maritime industry is worth £3 billion a year and employs 33,000 staff. A big industry for the uk. The big question, who buys things like this . Phoebe is the editor of wanderlust magazine. It is a glorious morning, showing off what the uk industry can do. But who is this for . It depends which boat you are talking about. The one we are stored on now is several million, so the very rich. There are some for as low as a couple of 100 pounds. It depends on the size and people are using them for weekend escapes, you can live on them, so that has been a growing industry as well. But people are more interested in things they can do on the water, and quirky accommodation. You can pay to hire a room or a night on a boat. As far as the industry in the uk is concerned, we do not make the big cruise ships, what we make a lot of this stuff here, and a lot of it is exported. About 85 of everything made here is sold overseas. Yes, and it is, like you said, a growing market in all the different sizes of votes. And we have seen people invest in them as well, to let them out boat. We have seen that the pier to pier, as we call it, where people can rent a boat, and the skipper and crew as well. We will show you around this superyacht a little bit later, because they are making the final preparations, getting it all shipshape, excuse the pun, for later. Let me introduce you to howard, from the trade body. We are talking about the growth in this industry, and this is the best place to showcase it, at events like this. Who will come through and by boats like this . There are 600 exhibitors, and it shows off the whole industry. It isa and it shows off the whole industry. It is a Sales Platform for the industry. We are a £3 billion industry, the uk leisure marine industry. The figures today focus on boat link, 10,000 boats generating reve nu es of boat link, 10,000 boats generating revenues of £850,000, and 85 of thatis revenues of £850,000, and 85 of that is exported. You might say it isa that is exported. You might say it is a natural fit, that is exported. You might say it is a naturalfit, we that is exported. You might say it is a natural fit, we are an island surrounded by water, and boat building is part of our history. They have a worldwide reputation for design quality and innovation, and we are a uk manufacturing success story. So we have that reputation around the world. We are good value for money, also. Iwanted around the world. We are good value for money, also. I wanted to ask you about that, so many things on the horizon, brexit being one of them, and the fall in the value of the pound which makes it more attractive, in some respects. If that good news for the industry . Attractive, in some respects. If that good news for the industry7m is very good news for our industry. While politicians talk about racks that, we have been getting on with business. Some of our companies are exporting 90 of what they produce, so we are high industry brexit. You might have spotted the huge cruise ship behind me, it is a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, and i have been told it is the second biggest in the world. Not part of what we are about today, but puts things into a bit of context, and for once it makes me feel small, and it is not often that that happens. We will show you around this boat a little later, you will get an idea of what it is like in the bridge of this vote, and we will show you around. It isa vote, and we will show you around. It is a bit plush downstairs, there is all sorts of cool stuff. Stay with us for that. I have to take my shoes off, as well, i have to remember to do that. So you promised usa remember to do that. So you promised us a look around later on. You have to ta ke us a look around later on. You have to take your shoes off and get prepared to go downstairs. What do you call it . It is not below stairs, i think that his servant who posit quarters. We will get the terminology right later in the programme. Apologies to all seafaring folk who are outraged. They have been revving up fans for 90 years, but tomorrow marks the end of the road for the british armys Motorcycle Display Team. The White Helmets are being disbanded by the ministry of defence, as it seeks to invest more in digital technology. Breakfasts tim muffett went to join them as they warmed up for their final show. Boots, gloves, and of course, helmut. For 90 years, preparations have remained pretty much the same. But the royal signals White Helmets display team are about to disband. Tomorrow they will put on their final public display in preston. This is their last public practice session at their base in langford. Getting emotional . I dont like to show it. It has been a big part of my army career. I have never really experienced anything like it. This is the end of an era, isnt it . How are you feeling at the moment . Upset. It has been absolutely brilliant. I am just proud to have been a part of it while it has been doing. These skills are impressive but a little Old Fashioned for some. The ministry of defence announced earlier this year that as they no longer showcase what this army unit does, i display team cannot any longer be justified. The does, i display team cannot any longer bejustified. The royal signals to provide communications for the british army. These days it is done digitally. 100 years ago the men carrying messages by horse or motorbike. With extreme skill and accuracy, horses and machines cross right, continually increasing the speed. Many dispatch riders who survived the battlefields of world wari survived the battlefields of world war i were keen to show off their skills. A display team was formed in 1927. At first, horses were used as well. This is the armys daring contribution to the show. In 1963 they took the name the White Helmets. Seven months ago they havent met each other. Now they are the closest buddies, hanging together wherever they go. Bob commanded the team for five years. |j d efy commanded the team for five years. |j defy anyone not to feel that they are defy anyone not to feel that they a re really, really defy anyone not to feel that they are really, really powerful. It is the passing of an era, from a personal point of view, and i know from team members point of view. A lot of the public have spoken to us, and they will be sad to see the team disband. I think it will be quite emotionalfor disband. I think it will be quite emotional for them. Here is a helmet for you, not quite a white helmet, you havent earned one of these just yet. Fair enough, fair enough. Back in the office, this seemed a great idea. What could possibly go wrong . Many of the tricks we do are similar to those devised when the team was first put together. We have updated a few of them, we have changed some of them, but we do like to keep up that tradition. It will never be forgotten. Stunts and skills handed down over generations. But, for the White Helmets, thejourney is down over generations. But, for the White Helmets, the journey is almost over. And congratulations to tim for doing nothing, because he was at the top there. Mike bushell did it as well. He will have a story. For sure, something will have happened. Still to come this morning we are talking long lost words today, and we want to hear from you. We will be going through some of our favourites later in the programme, but we are interested to hear what you think some of them mean. So if youve got any thoughts on what rouzy bouzy might mean, or how about swerk, let us know. And of course, tell us some of your favourite words that have fallen out of fashion, too. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Good morning from bbc london news, im sonja jessup. Commuters are being warned they could face severe disruption this morning after a fire at a warehouse in North West London overnight. People who live near the site in harrow have been evacuated from their homes over concerns that gas cylinders inside could explode. There is no west coast mainline service between Milton Keynes and euston no london midland or Virgin Trains west Coast Services on that section. Southern trains are suspended between Milton Keynes and clapham junction, and there is no caledonian sleeper out of euston. 0n the tube, a signalfailure means the london 0verground has severe delays between New Cross Gate and west croydon and crystal palace. One of chinatowns major landowners wants to introduce more restaurants from across east asia. Shaftesbury estate, which owns four fifths of chinatown, says the area needs to diversify and modernise, but there are fears among the long established community that the area will lose its chinese identity. I dont mind they open a pan asian restaurant in chinatown, but within a number, because we need to keep the authenticity in chinatown. Because chinatown is chinese restaurants, right . Its not pan asian. Around 5,000 swimmers are expected to take to the serpentine in hyde park this weekend for an open water festival. It is the second year of swim serpentine, which was created by the organisers of the London Marathon and ride london. Over to the weather now, with elizabeth rizzini. Hello, good morning. Plenty of rainbows around yesterday, flying high above the capital, and spotted by our weather watchers. There will be more around today, too. Its another day of sunny spells and showers. Weve still got that chilly north westerly breeze, and youll notice just how cool it is to begin the morning, too. Many of our temperatures have dipped right back down to mid single figures. So it is a bright, sunny start. The showers will get going into the late morning and the late afternoon, and last for much of the rest of the day. The air is also a little bit cooler than it was yesterday, highs between 1a and 16 celsius, but pleasant enough in the sunshine. Now, as we head through this evening and overnight, the showers will fade away. Clear skies, staying dry overnight. Slightly lighter winds. In fact, it could be cold enough for a touch of grass frost, maybe, in the more rural spots, as we head into tomorrow morning. So another chilly start to the day tomorrow. Now, tomorrow, very little difference. Still sunny spells and showers, but the winds are going to be an awful lot lighter, so the showers will be slow moving where we get them. They could be heavy and thundery, but there will be some sunny spells in between. Another cool night on saturday into sunday, sunday the better looking day of the weekend. The showers will still be around, but they will be lighter. I will be back in half an hour. More in just a few minutes on the trouble at the arsenal game last night on bbc breakfast, with charlie and naga. Bye for now. Hello, this is breakfast, with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. North korea fires another Ballistic Missile overjapan higher and further than previous tests the second in three weeks. Japanese residents were advised to take cover as warning sirens were sounded over the north of the country. Good morning, its friday the 15th of september. Also this morning the end of one of nasas most Daring Missions of scientific discovery the cassini probe prepares for its grand finale after two decades of Space Exploration around saturn. Parts of london were brought to a standstill after 20,000 cologne fans turned up to an arsenal match at the emirates stadium without tickets. It was after nine before the match finally kicked off, and on the pitch, arsenal came from behind, to beat cologne 3 1. But elsewhere, there was defeat for everton. Boatbuilding is big business in britain. We make over 10,000 of them every year. I am at the southampton boat show this morning finding out what a few million might buy. After 90 years, the royal signals Motorcycle Display Team, the White Helmets, are being disbanded. I am talking to team members as they prepare for their last ever performance. And matt has our weather. Good morning. Daily display of rainbows across the country again today. You will need a warm jacket when showers come through later. Good things turn dry this weekend . Ill let you know in 15 minutes. South korea made an immediate response, carrying out its own missile test within minutes. Having a Nuclear Weapons capability has become kim jong uns signature policy, so the government here in seoul as well as other nations, must be left wondering what carrot, what stick, they could possibly use to convince his regime to give up this programme. And we can get the very latest from Stephen Mcdonell now, whats the response there . We have a sense that the south koreans are saying that dialogue is impossible. What might happen . The most obvious response from south korea was launching its own missile tests. We have been looking at the south Korean Missile test and also the north korean test and i can tell you there are some pretty grim calculations being made there. The south korean test was six minutes after the north Korean Missile test which means that they were ready to go. According to the south korean military, they fired missiles 250 kilometres into the ocean. Surprise, surprise, that is the exact same distance as if they were going to fire those missiles into the north korean capital pyongyang. As to the north korean test, its missile was fired across japan 3700 kilometres the same distance as if they were going to fire that an the us territory of guam. Both sides are showing their capability and, really, there is no sign of the talks that would be needed to slow down its arms race. After one of the longest voyages of discovery in the history of Space Exploration, Nasas Cassini probe will begin its final mission a mission to self destruct. The three billion pounds probe will ditch itself into saturns atmosphere later today because its running low on fuel. Rebecca morelle reports. The spacecraft leaves an amazing legacy, from spotting saturns colossal storms to revealing the planets many moons from titan, with its methane lakes and seas, to enceladus, with a liquid water ocean hidden beneath its icy crust, shooting plumes of vapour into space. Parts of Central London were brought to a standstill last night as 20,000 german fans turned up for arsenals game against cologne without tickets. Five people were arrested when disorder broke out after the match, and kick off was delayed by an hour, as andy moore reports. This was the first time cologne had played an International Club competition in 25 years. Its estimated 25,000 fans travelled to the match and many were on Oxford Street yesterday afternoon. Police said some bottles were thrown and flares were set off, but there was no significant disorder. Later in the day, outside the emirates stadium, there were more scuffles. Police said five arrests were made for public disorder. The start of the game was delayed by one hour, as extra Police Officers were drafted in to deal with the unexpected influx of cologne fans. 3,000 tickets had been sold for away supporters, but as the game got under way it was clear many german fans bought tickets in areas reserved for arsenal supporters. There were more scuffles inside the stadium. In cologne we always find a way to get tickets. It happens sometimes. Most of the cologne fans left in an orderly fashion, despite their 3 1 loss. Questions remain for arsenal about how the ticketing arrangements were handled. We will have sport coming up later along with the weather. Lets get more on that story which broke overnight. North korea has fired another Ballistic Missile overjapan the second time in less than three weeks. The us secretary of state, rex tillerson, urged china and russia to take direct action against pyongyang. Japans prime minister, shinzo abe, called the latest missile test an outrageous act. This comesjust four this comes just four days after the Un Security Council adopted a stronger sanctions. Joining us now from pusan in south korea, is Professor Robert kelly, expert in inter korean affairs. Thank you for talking to us this morning. What do you make of this . What stage were now in terms of escalation of tension . Think these tests are putting japan in the firing line. We never have these missiles, this is the second time they have fired overjapan. There is really no reason for north korea to threaten japan. It really no reason for north korea to threatenjapan. It is not a direct enemy of the state like the us or south korean is. This is north Korea Holding japan hostage. They are pointing out that they can hit japanese citizens as well as those of the us and south korea. Japan has reacted saying that this was an outrageous act. What more do you seen the terms of japan reacting or retaliating . I think the future for both japan and south korea is now Missile Defence. It is not perfect. It is leaky and expensive. It is much easier to make missiles and to make Missile Defence but it is a stock gap medium term measure to respond to north korea. If the North Koreans do not stop or of the chinese cannot convince them to stop, there will eventually be pressure to strike the missiles because people say that defence is not enough. They have thousands of missiles over there. For the interim, Missile Defence, this contest between missiles and defence is the line to take. You mention if china steps in. What will persuade china to make a move, to try and persuade kim jong un to stop and take a step back . Recent sanctions do not seem to be working. Thats right, there is a lot of confusion and the chinese are sending mixed signals. They tell us that they dont want north korea to have a Nuclear Weapon or these missiles. They hope that the sanctions get through the Security Council, they throw out these milk toast statements when the North Koreans launched missiles about how they want calm, and everything else. I think there is this one out there, when are the chinese going to reach a point when they say enough is enough . What is the straw that rakes the camels back for china . This summer north korea tested both an icbm and a hydrogen weapon which is substantially more powerful than the weapon the americans used in world war two, weapon the americans used in world wartwo, and weapon the americans used in world war two, and the chinese did not say anything. Im wondering what the breaking is. When do they decide they will step in . That they havent gotten they yet surprise as many people. I wonder if it is a question of how far the missile can go . Do they need to prove they can go as far as the us mainland before the us puts more pressure on china, and thatis puts more pressure on china, and that is the trigger point . Yes, i think that is the next step. We know that the North Koreans can probably reach the United States, they have been firing their weapons very high upwards, and if you fired at or 45 degrees angle it should go further. But they havent actually a missal which landed within a couple of 100 miles of seattle, or anything like that missile. Right now they are firing east on a regular basis, and this is the second time in two weeks. The next step would be to keep on firing further and further out, so you prove you can hit guam, and alaska, and hawaii, and further and alaska, and hawaii, and further and further out. And there is a slippery slope for china will say enough is enough. Thank you for joining us. Here is matt with a look at this mornings weather. We can have a look at how it is looking in southampton this morning. Iam seeing looking in southampton this morning. I am seeing a little bit of pale sunshine, looking rather lovely down there. A few of the flags fluttering nicely in the breeze. Matt has the picture for the rest of the uk as well. Doesnt it look lovelier there . Seven or eight degrees down in southampton at the moment. Quite widely, single figures right across the uk. If you are about to head out, get ready for a chill. Parts of east anglia, and kent, three orfour celsius at the moment. It is here we have the driest and brightest of the weather to start the day. The sunshine continues mostly into around 9am this morning. A few showers around the channel islands, South West England and wales, some of those on the heavy side. A gentle breeze, but with the chilly conditions out there, it is made to feel even colder by that wind. Lots of cloud across Northern England, the north midlands, outbreaks of rain in yorkshire and lincolnshire. Sunshine in Northern Ireland and scotland. Showers in the north, and they will develop a bit more widely through the day. Given the fact the wind is coming from the north, if you are in southern scotland this will be one of the driest spots, with a few showers expected. Thicker cloud from the midlands bringing outbreaks of rain into the midlands in the early afternoon, drifting down into east anglia and other areas in the second half of the day. Showers possible just about anywhere, but as you have seen in recent days, it may be fairly fleeting. They may form a fairly small portion of your day. 15 or 16, not particular impressive, and feeling colder than that when the showers come through. The showers will fade away for many, but we have another zone of cloud like we did last night, with rain pushing into Northern England, South West England by the end of the night. And temperatures down into single figures, two, three, four degrees. That takes us into the weekend, which starts the way the week has finished. Low pressure close by, mainly towards eastern areas. As long as that is close by, we see the showers popping up. Another day of showers popping up. Another day of showers developing widely. Thicker cloud to begin with in wales and parts of the midlands. It will drift its way southwards and eastwards. The zone of showers pushing into Northern Ireland scotland, things turn drier in the north. Some of you not seem to me showers during the day and temperatures like today 16 degrees at best, feeling colder across scotland and Northern Ireland. In the saturday night, the showers gradually fading the way southwards, turning clearerfrom the north but the temperatures dropping accordingly. Either time we get from the end of saturday night into sunday, these are the temperatures we can expect in rural areas, if not a little lower in some spots. A touch of frost potentially first thing on sunday morning. I said the dreaded f word. A cold and frosty start for one or two, a few showers across england but by and large things turning dry across the uk on sunday. Much of scotland and Northern Ireland, western fringes of england and wales, very few showers and the forecast, and after that the chilly if not torsti start for a few. With winds lighter, a little less chilly by the time we get into the afternoon. It will be a big challenge ahead this weekend, as temperatures get close to freezing in one or two spots. Could bilbao, the spanish port city, be the new migrant route to britain . Police there say the number of people trying to stowaway on ferries has increased sharply. Almost a year after the infamous jungle migrant camp in calais was destroyed, there are concerns that a new one is emerging on the spanish coast. The bbcs gavin lee is in bilbao. You have been talking to lots of people about how they feel about the migrants who are there, and migrants who are desperately trying to move on. Yes, almost a year to the day it went calais closed, and this is different, but this is sudden. A lot of people who were camping in the surrounding hills and countryside have started to emerge onto three main camps. You can see one of them behind me. And every day we have been here, these are people from afghanistan, a lot of people from albania, some people from iraq as well, we have seen the numbers of tense start to increase as well. And this is becoming a big fear, that ultimately the police say they remember the early stages of calais and they dont want to go the same way. I have spent the last few days here, and this is what i have seen. Caught in bilbao. This is now the daily reality for spanish police, finding migrants trying to stowaway on ferry bound lorries to the uk. For migrants trying to find a back door to britain, the bilbao portsmouth ferries have become the target. Amongst those detained is tabim, a 15 year old afghan who says he has given up trying in calais, and headed instead to bilbao. One year in calais, but now im trying in spain. Did somebody say to you, come to bilbao, it is easier. Yes, and now i come to bilbao. As the lorry drivers wait to be checked, they are being warned that they are being monitored both by the police and migrants trying to get inside. Is this the new calais, bilbao . That is just, more than anything, just doublechecking, making sure nothing is in your trailer. The ports across northern france have seen a drop in the number of migrant attempts to stow away. But police here say bilbao has seen a tenfold increase in the last year, with more than 1,000 attempts since summer. Well, this could be the start of europes newest migrant camp. We are 300m from the port of bilbao, and these tents, they emerged a few weeks ago. Now, the police say there are 70 people here, mostly from albania. But there are many more dotted around the hills and the countryside overlooking the port. This man has been hiding in the hills for two weeks. He says other albanians are heading here, hoping to earn money working in the blackmarket in the uk. And it has become Common Knowledge that bilbao is difficult, but possible. Do you know of anybody that has managed to get to the uk undetected . Yeah, a few. A few got through . Yeah, a few got through, even. Even a week ago. For now, the locals continue to enjoy the september sun, opposite the small camps that are growing by the day. Brittany ferries say 61 Illegal Migrants have been detained, after making it to the uk from here. Officials on both sides of the water are aware that they have to act quickly, to stop this port becoming an established route and a bigger problem. For the officials here in bilbao, they say at the weekend British Border officials came over. It is on the register and on the radarfor both countries, and what strikes me is the entanglement between the police warringah becomes a magnet for others. The municipality believes they have a right to stay here. If you get a quick look around you can get a look at the wider harbour and port. At the moment locals are bringing food and kent, it is small, but there are two of the camps like this tents. We will see whether Police Patrols make a difference or whether this campsite continues to build and grow as people fear. You are watching breakfast from bbc news. Still to come this morning ben is live at britains biggest boat show. Ben, it sounds like it has been plain sailing for the uks marine industry . Good morning, welcome to southampton. I have opted for something a little more affordable. The one i was on earlier was about £7 million. This isjust a few hundred thousand. Still well out of my price range, and i imagine for most people. We are here because we are talking about the boat show. It isa are talking about the boat show. It is a showcase of what we do in the uk. A growing industry which employs about 33,000 people. The boating Industry Worth about £3 billion every single year. So one of course that you might wonder who buys all of this stuff, but you dont necessarily have to buy. You can lease it, timeshare it, part owned a chunk of a boat. And there is an increasing leisure market. We might not think we have the weather but these boats go around the world. 85 of what is made in the uk is exported. We have been having a look around and finding out what a few hundred million might iu, and some of these are little more affordable. By of these are little more affordable. By you. Commuters are being warned they face severe disruption this morning after a fire at a warehouse in North West London overnight. People who live near the site in harrow were evacuated from their homes over concerns that gas cylinders inside could explode. The warehouse is next to headstone lane station, and west Coast Mainline Services have been suspended. So lets take a look at how travel is affected now. There is no west coast mainline service between Milton Keynes and euston. That means no london midland or Virgin Trains west Coast Services on that section. Southern trains are suspended between Milton Keynes and clapham junction, and there is no caledonian sleeper out of euston. 0n the tube, the london 0verground is now running normally, but a signal failure on the piccadilly line means there are severe delays between acton town to heathrow, all terminals and uxbridge. Plenty of rainbows around yesterday, flying high above the capital, and spotted by our weather watchers. Therell be more around today, too. The air is also a little bit cooler than it was yesterday, highs between 14 and 16 celsius, but pleasant enough in the sunshine. Now, as we head through this evening and overnight, the showers will fade away. Clear skies, staying dry overnight, slightly lighter winds. Ill be back in half an hour. More in just a few minutes on the trouble at the arsenal game last night on bbc breakfast, with charlie and naga. Bye for now. Hello, this is breakfast with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. North korea has fired another Ballistic Missile over northern japan, for the second time in three weeks, prompting the japanese government to warn millions of people to take cover. The missile travelled 2,300 miles, further than in previous tests, passing over the japanese island of hokkaido, before coming down in the pacific. The launch comes three days after the Un Security Council voted to impose tougher economic sanctions on north korea for testing a powerful nuclear bomb. The cassini probe will destroy itself this afternoon, after spending almost 20 years in space. Later today it will complete its mission and then plunge into saturns atmosphere at 76,000 miles an hour. Up to the moment it burns up, it will gather readings of the chemical composition of the planets gases. Parts of Central London were brought to a standstill last night as thousands of german fans turned up to arsenals game against cologne without tickets. 20,000 cologne fans took to the streets before the game. Five people were arrested when disorder broke out before the match, and kick off was delayed by an hour. Unions representing nurses and other nhs staff, have written to the chancellor to demand a 3. 9 pay rise linked to inflation, to make up for the freeze in recent years. The government says the priority is to ensure the overall Public Sector pay package was fair but affordable. 14 unions have joined together to ask for the increase. The governments top Legal Adviser is considering whether tougher penalties are needed to stop people posting comments on social media about criminal court cases. The attorney Generaljeremy Wright is looking at cases in england and wales which have been jeopardised by online messages. Hes particularly concerned about jurors being influenced by what they see on the internet, and about victims of sexual crimes being named. But i want to understand what the scale of the problem is. I want to understand how often do criminal trials are compromised by social media posts and the people to ask are those who conduct the trial is everyday, are involved in them on a regular basis or have experienced a post having a bearing on the way in which a criminal trial unfolds. A fire is causing major disruption. There will be reduced services on the train lines. Reflecting on events in london last night. 20,000 fans to celebrate their team getting into the Europa League for the first time in 25 yea rs. League for the first time in 25 years. Just under 3000 Tickets Available to them, but by whatever means, a lot of fans had bought in to the ground inadvertently. They mingled with arsenal fans. So when cologne scored, the arsenal ends erupted. This is scary image but putting it in context, very few arrests and given there was quite a lot of chaos. The arsenal fans showed great restraint. Both sets of fans, really. To only have five arrests and no serious injuries was remarkable giving that number of fa ns remarkable giving that number of fans trying to squeeze in or being left outside the ground. It was after nine oclock before the match started. More on that in a few minutes but on the pitch it was arsenals night, as they came from behind to beat cologne 3 1. Look at this awareness from the cologne player. We dont know if this is actually the cologne end but plenty of friends there. Arsenal came back in the second half. And won 3 1 in the end. At some stage i thought they would not play the game because i cant see the Police Taking any risk. We live in a 100 Security Society and i thought we would never be able to play this game. But they were very clever. I dont know how they managed to infiltrate the fans and get everywhere, but they did that very well. I dont know if they went through the membership on the internet. The other british club in Europa League action last night, were everton, who had a dismal night away at the italian side atalanta. They were beaten 3 0, this brilliant strike from Alejandro Gomez the pick of the goals. They showed us what you need to have when you play football. Thats a question to myself, what i did wrong. Its easy to criticise players, the team. Its easy to criticise little mistakes, but finally the team was not prepared in the first half and it was a shame. Really sorry for the fans. At some stage later today essex are likely to become county cricket champions for the first time in 25 years. Thats because they won their match, against warwickshire yesterday, while their only rivals for the title, lancashire, are on the verge of defeat to somerset. In fact they finished the day eight wickets down which means that essex will be crowned champions today is lancashire do not win. In rugby league, hull have taken a huge step towards sealing a play off place, after they hung on for a 19 18 victory over look at the faces there on the fans wakefield had this drop goal chance, in the final minute to level the match, but liam finn put it wide. They stay in fifth place while hull move up to third. Only the top four make the play offs. And there were birdies, but the wrong sort on what was supposed, to be day one of the final womens golf major of the year. Play was abandoned for the day, at the evian championship in france, because of the heavy rain. The first group had completed just eight holes at the time. So the event is now a 54 hole tournament starting this morning. Fans running for cover there. Fans running for cover therem must have been teeming down. Usually golf fans are quite hardy and they will sit through anything, wind, rain. You wait there are until it passes until you can get a gimmick, a glimpse of the play. |j passes until you can get a gimmick, a glimpse of the play. I tell you what we will talk about. I enjoyed the pictures this morning. Those of the pictures this morning. Those of the White Helmets. I have done that to 2012 when they were going on tour. This is the display team to the british army and motorcycle riders to some of the stunts they do on one by a breathtaking. Riders to some of the stunts they do on one by a breathtakinglj riders to some of the stunts they do on one by a breathtaking. I remember one point sitting on top of the ladder withjust one one point sitting on top of the ladder with just one cyclist trying tojuggle. I ladder with just one cyclist trying to juggle. I remember ladder with just one cyclist trying tojuggle. I remember my balls hitting the guy on the helmet. The cyclist, the motorcyclist riding backwards. He was on his own on the motorbike on his handlebars reading a magazine going around this course. The reason we are talking about it is because tim has been with. They are going to stop doing their thing. Lets have a look at and how he got along. Boots, gloves, and of course, helmet. For 90 years, preparations have remained pretty much the same. But the royal signals White Helmets display team are about to disband. Tomorrow, they will put on their final public display in preston. This is their last practice session at their base in langford. Getting emotional . I dont like to show it. It has been a big part of my army career. I have never really experienced anything like it. This is the end of an era, isnt it . How are you feeling at the moment . Upset. Its been absolutely brilliant. Im just proud to have been a part of it while its been doing. These skills are impressive, but a little Old Fashioned for some. The ministry of defence announced earlier this year that, as they no longer showcase what this army unit does, a display team cannot any longer be justified. The royal signals provide communications for the british army. These days, it is done digitally. 100 years ago, the men carried messages by horse or motorbike. With extreme skill and accuracy, horses and machines cross ride, continually increasing the speed. Many dispatch riders who survived the battlefields of world war i were keen to show off their skills. A display team was formed in 1927. At first, horses were used, as well. This is the armys daring contribution to the show. In 1963, they took the name the White Helmets. Seven months ago, they hadnt met each other. Now, they are the closest buddies, hanging together wherever they go. Bob commanded the team for five years. I defy anyone not to feel that they are really, really powerful. It is the passing of an era, from a personal point of view, and i know from team members point of view. A lot of the public have spoken to us, and they will be sad to see the team disband. I think it will be quite emotional for them. Heres a helmet for you. Not quite a white helmet you havent earned one of these just yet. Fair enough, fair enough. Back in the office, this seemed a great idea. What could possibly go wrong . Many of the tricks we do are similar to those devised when the team was first put together. Weve updated a few of them, weve changed some of them, but we do like to keep up that tradition. It will never be forgotten. Stunts and skills handed down over generations. But, for the White Helmets, the journey is almost over. That looks absolutely brilliant. Such a shame that it will be no more. At stake you outdoors now. Locator southhampton for the start of the southampton boat show. Were blessed with what looks like love it we are blessed with lovely weather. And if you have ever wanted to know what it was like inside a mini superyacht we can show you. Ben is below decks. Good morning. mini superyacht we can show you. Ben is below decks. Good morning. I am below deck and down here, four bedrooms. Plush in here. The boat is rocking so i need to be careful balance. Another bedroom and a kitchen down there. And when you are ona kitchen down there. And when you are on a yacht you need a dining table for eight people to think that is here as well. It will set you back a few million quid, a boat like this. Let me introduce you to the boss. Good to see you. It does look posh to go purchases these things . These boats are bought by people, who use them as a place to get away and spend quality time with their quality people. You say to super luxury item, of course it is. Unless you have a lot of money, you will not be able to purchase one of these. But interestingly, you make them down the road. We do. 2500 craftsmen down the road in plymouth and we are unique because we make everything ourselves to we have carpenters, upholsterers, metalworkers. Everything in this boat is made by hand. This boat has an interesting heritage because this model, the 30 metre model, is made ina shipyard model, the 30 metre model, is made in a shipyard which sits where sir Francis Drake used to bring the british fleet in. A lot of heritage, made in plymouth, but sold around the world. Many boats made here are exported. When you sell these . Everywhere. If you look at our large yacht we have sold to the uk, this one is a uk customer. We sell them to south america, the us, southeast asia, russia. That is one of the things that is unique about this. We are truly a global brand. Vast majority of our boats are exported and we saw them equally around the world. So how much will this set me back . This is the smallest and most accessible of our m class range and is £8 million excluding vat. Only 8 million . There you go. And accessible price of 8 million quid. Cb here is the editor of a magazine. A glorious morning out here. If you dont have a million quid you can still get involved in this, cant you . Certainly. You can purchase boats at the budget end. You can obviously signup to go on trips. We are finding a rise to the Expedition Cruise market. Sailing holidays where you can learn the ropes. And there are new peer to peer boat opportunities where you can either hirea opportunities where you can either hire a boat and this group and the skipper and go off somewhere or you can rent a bed on a vote. You can sit ina can rent a bed on a vote. You can sit in a room, you can set out on the deck with your champagne and pretend to live the lifestyle. And you can fill it rocking like it is this morning. That is the issue, isnt it . It is a huge business and the export stories are really interesting. 85 of everything we make in this country is sold around the world. Very good news, that we have such a buoyant market, if you pardon the pun. We are finding water adventures, is what i would say eve ryo ne adventures, is what i would say Everyone Wants a piece of. When people are travelling or going overseas, they want and experience they can remember, something quirky they can remember, something quirky they have done and taken part in, rather than just they have done and taken part in, rather thanjust going they have done and taken part in, rather than just going to a destination. And there are a lot of big cruise ships parked here. Southampton a big port, also growing in popularity. Definitely, and we are seeing cruise ships getting bigger and more affordable. We are also seeing a rise in Expedition Cruises, a focus on smaller passenger numbers, under 100 passengers, sometimes under 50, so a more intimate experience. So river cruising is also becoming popular, because you get less swell on a river, and less chance of seasickness. Before we go, i want to leave you with this glorious shot across the water in southampton. It is getting busier as the morning goes on but you might get a view from our top shop this morning of what a glorious morning it is down here in southampton. Nine or ten days with this boatshow getting under way today. Hundreds of exhibitors expected to come through, people seeing what they might buy if they have £1 million. How do you hit votes if it gets cold . Is there a heating system inside . Yes, there is all sorts. They have a full kitchen, ensuite bathrooms, there is everything. Heating is not really worried, central heating. Why are you laughing, charlie . worried, central heating. Why are you laughing, charlie . I amjust not surprised that they have heating on board £3 million yachts. This doesnt surprise me. I wanted to know what kind of heating system that was, because there is a debate going on in households across the country. This is a serious question. Matt, back me up i have been agonising over that one all morning. Good morning, yes, there is a debate. Will your central heating be on or not . It certainly will by the time we get to this weekend, as i will show you. I know you were enjoying the pictures of rainbows across the country, naga. This picture was sent in by weather watcher during yesterday morning, and there will be more of those around today. Whether you are on two legs orfour, it around today. Whether you are on two legs or four, it is a chilly start. Temperatures down in single figures. The cold spot across mainly east anglia, south and central parts of england and also wales. It is here we have the latest of the winds in the sunshine around. There is a breeze bearing down on southampton, with a bit of extra bite to it. It feels cold for the next few hours at least, and some showers in South West England, the channel islands, into wales. They will continue for the rest of the morning rush hour. Lots of cloud and north midlands towards lincolnshire, yorkshire, outbreaks of rain on the coast. Showers around the far north of england. Scotland and Northern Ireland, many will be dry. Given that we have a wind from the north and north west, parts of southern scotla nd and north west, parts of southern scotland and south west of Northern Ireland might stay dry today. Cumbria are not faring too badly. Showers most prominent across parts of midlands, southern england and wales into the afternoon. The odd heavy one with hail and thunder, some odd spells of rain as well through parts of norfolk towards cambridgeshire as well. 50 to 60 degrees 15 to 16 degrees in the sunshine and that cool breeze will continue through the night. At its strongest down in some eastern coast. Also in the parts of wales in the south west will tonight is very similarto the south west will tonight is very similar to what we saw last night, very similar temperatures as well. Clear skies either side of that failure zone, temperatures well down into single figures. Looking at saturday, the big High Pressure system to the east. Another showery day. Showers across south east england, the midlands towards lincolnshire and yorkshire. Drifting towards the south, some heavy with hailand towards the south, some heavy with hail and thunder. Another batch of showers through scotland and Northern Ireland before things turn dry in scotland later on. Some of you will stick with sunny spells good part of the day but even in that sunshine, not especially warm. 12 to 16 the high as in saturday afternoon. As the showers at the fete you will notice the temperatures dropping even further. This is really where the central heating debate will come in. These are the temperatures in the towns and city centres. Get yourselves into the suburbs, the countryside some will be close to freezing. 0n sunday morning we will wake up to a touch of frost on the ground. Just touch of frost on the ground. Just to give you a little bit of enjoyment of that frosty, sunny start. The sunshine will be there on and off throughout the day on sunday. Still a few showers across parts of england in particular, but fewer showers compared with what we have seen this week, and with winds lighter, it will feel a touch warmer. But the knights, even in the next week, will be on the chilly side. Nights. It affects five Million People across the world, but lupus remains a very complex condition which few of us really understand. Now, the american pop star selena gomez has revealed to her millions of instagram followers that she needed a kidney transplant this summer as a result of her condition. In a post, the singer said herfriend donated the organ, and said lupus was very misunderstood. So what is it, and how can it be treated . Joining us now is professor ian bruce, one of the leading experts on lupus, and pauline 0bi, who was diagnosed with the condition back in 1997. Good morning to you. It sometimes happens, doesnt it, that someone well known gets a condition and a lot of our attention is drawn to that condition. But pauline, this is something you have been suffering for a long time. Take us through briefly when you first realise you suffered. The onset of my lupus began in puberty, i would say, when i was 14 years old. And i actually got the diagnosis when i was 15, in 1997. I wondered if that was quite young to be diagnosed with a grocery . It can occur at any age. The peak age of onset is around the fourth decade, but children can develop lupus, and young adults can develop lupus, and young adults can develop it as well. So you are 15 yea rs develop it as well. So you are 15 years old, and you get this diagnosis. What sort of condition are you in . What is happening . So i was in high school, and i was quite active. I was doing volleyball, basketball, all those kinds of things. And all of a sudden i was getting very weak, 80, tired, and i would revert to my bed and not get out for days and days, and not really understanding why ache y. So debilitating condition. So fast forward to what happened in terms of the treatment you had. So when i was eventually diagnosed, after a series of going back and forth to the hospital and not knowing what to do, i actually had a seizure. And that was when, finally, my family were like, she is acting really strange, and this is not pauline. And i was eventually diagnosed with lupus, after a ll eventually diagnosed with lupus, after all the markers, the several symptom markers, and i met quite a few of them at the time, hence my diagnosis. We have talked about selena gomez with this kidney transplant. Have you got to that point yourself, where you have needed extreme treatment for this . Yes, so in 1999 was my first kidney biopsy, and i knew yes, so in 1999 was my first kidney biopsy, and i knew i had inflammation of the kidney. Then i knew the lupus had actually started to attack the kidney. I went a good few years before it eventually got to renalfailure, which was in 2010. And how are you now . Are you well . Well, post transplant, i would say i am doing very well, thank you. And the trouble is, someone famous but it out there, but this is something that takes a very long time to be diagnosed. There are so many symptoms that come with it. 0bviously symptoms that come with it. Obviously not panicking anyone who may be watching. So lupus is an autoimmune syndrome, so your immune system is fight off an infection or invasion from outside, but if you think of it is sometimes your immune system turning in a itself, it is almost like being hit by friendly fire, if you like. It is a multisystem disease, so it can affect a ny multisystem disease, so it can affect any part of the body. You can get arthritis, rashes, affect any part of the body. You can getarthritis, rashes, especially sun sensitive rashes. Hair loss, but a lot of deep organ involvement, so people can get brain involvement, kidney involvement, it can affect the lungs in the heart, et cetera. What do we know about why people contract the condition, and some groups more than others . There is a strong genetic component to it. Many genes can set you up to develop lupus. There are probably other triggers, infection, sunlight, et cetera, that can drive the condition. And there are several ethnic subgroups who are more likely to develop the disease. People of african background, people from the indian subcontinent, people from a chinese background, and in the United States people from a mexican background, and obviously selena gomez has some mexican ancestry as well. When someone like selena gomez put this on instagram and highlights it, it is great because it means we are talking about it, but if it is a condition that just occurs, are talking about it, but if it is a condition thatjust occurs, it is not preventable, is it . Itjust happens, and you cope with it, is that fair . That is correct. There is Research Going on now to try and work out ways we can diagnose it much earlier and prevent some more serious manifestations. There is also a big delay in diagnosis. So i lupus uk survey showed that on average from the first symptom to diagnosis is around seven years in the uk. So the awareness is low, and what i often say to medical students is the first step to diagnosing a condition like this is to think of it. So think about people who have multiple symptoms at once, and think about whether this could be lupus. Thank you for your time this morning, pauline, glad to see you are in the condition you are now, you are looking very well, thank you very much. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Good morning from bbc london news, im sonja jessup. Also this morning the end of one of nasas most Daring Missions of scientific discovery, the cassini probe prepares for its grand finale after two decades of Space Exploration. Parts of london were brought to a standstill after 20,000 cologne fans turned up to an arsenal match at the emirates stadium without tickets. It was after 9 00pm before the match finally kicked off, and on the pitch, arsenal came from behind, to beat cologne 3 1. Sanchez with the pick of the goals. But elsewhere, there was defeat for everton. Boat building is big business in britain, we make 10,000 of them. Most of those are exported overseas. Iam here most of those are exported overseas. I am here at the southampton boat show this morning finding out what you might buy if you have a few Million Pounds to spend. Lets sit and have dinner like a family, and talk. What are we going to talk about . Family stuff. Rob beckett will tell us about the funny side of moving back in with your mum and dad. And matt has the weather. You know the story by now, sunshine and showers across the uk again today, chilly this morning and there are cold nights to come to get us into the weekend. The details on that in 15 minutes. South korea immediately responded, carrying out a missile test within minutes. Earlier, north korea test fired a Ballistic Missile, the first such launch since the latest round of sanctions against the isolated regime. The International Community needs to come together and send a clear message to north korea that its threatening world peace with its actions. Meanwhile, north korea is showing no signs of slowing down the speed of its Nuclear Weapons development. Recent celebrations marking its sixth and Largest Nuclear test were televised. Having a Nuclear Weapons capability has become kim jong uns signature policy, so the government here in seoul, as well as other nations, must be left wondering what carrot, what stick, they could possibly use to convince his regime to give up this programme. Stephen has looked at the reaction from south korea. The most obvious response from south korea was launching its own missile test. We have been looking at the south Korean Missile test and the north Korean Missile test and the north korean test, and i can tell you there are some grim calculation is being made there. The south korean test, for example, was six minutes after the north Korean Missile test, which means they were ready to go. According to the south korean military, they fired missiles 250 kilometres into the ocean. Now, surprise, surprise, that is the same distance if they were going to fire the missile s into the north korean capital, pyongyang. As for the north korean test, its missile was fired across japan, 3700 kilometres, exactly the same distance as if they we re exactly the same distance as if they were going to fire that on the us territory of guam. Both sides showing their capability, and really, there is no sign of the talks which would be needed to slow down this arms race. After one of the longest voyages of discovery in the history of Space Exploration, Nasas Cassini probe will begin its final mission, a mission to self destruct. The £3 billion probe will ditch itself into saturns atmosphere later today because its running low on fuel. Rebecca morelle reports. So, as its ending, im feeling a tremendous sense of sadness sadness at the end of the mission, the breakup of the cassini family, and at the same time, a tremendous source of pride. This is the control room, where the very final moments of cassini will be tracked, and every last drop of science is being squeezed out of this mission. As the spacecraft enters saturns atmosphere, the data will be streamed back here, right up until the very instant its destroyed. As cassini hurtles towards saturn, it will heat up and then vaporise, but for scientists, the work wont be over. So much data has been collected, saturn could keep surprising for decades to come. Parts of Central London were brought to a standstill last night as around 20,000 german fans turned up for arsenals game against cologne without tickets. Kick off was delayed by an hour. 0ur sports news correspondent Richard Conway was at the match and is back at the emirates stadium this morning. He can talk to us about, i suppose there is so much to talk about. Shall we start with the official response, how this situation came about . Yes, we saw pictures yesterday afternoon in Central London, 15,000 is the estimated number of cologne fa ns is the estimated number of cologne fans that made it across from germany, marching through the centre of london, getting on trains and buses to come up here to be emirates stadium. 0ne buses to come up here to be emirates stadium. One of the problems they had was congestion here. There are only 2900 tickets for cologne fans, but lots more tried to get into the stadium. Pictures on social media of scuffles at turnstiles, barry is being turned over. Police took an immediate decision to close the stadium, not allow anyone else in, and delaet kick off for an hour. Fans let in from 7 45, and we started to see people come in. I witnessed scuffles and skirmishes inside as cologne fans tried to get into the away section, they had tickets for the home in. Once it kicked off, we could see in the clock end, one of the main sections behind the goal, lots of cologne fans. But quite a good atmosphere inside from that point onwards. But for the arsenalfans inside from that point onwards. But for the arsenal fans with young families, maybe a tense atmosphere, they were moved to other parts of they were moved to other parts of the stadium. We will get an investigation from uefa today, perhaps, to look at why so many cologne fans were able to get into the home section, and what can be done to prevent such situations happening in future. You have followed the sport and fans for yea rs followed the sport and fans for years in yourjob as a correspondent, what did you think of the reaction of how the fans mingled . You mentioned families were moved if they were concerned, but overall, five arrests. Questions about why the authorities didnt know so many fans were coming, but what have you made overall of how this has been handled . From the police side of things, they handled it very well, from what i could see. They moved swiftly, they had a plan in place, they put kick off back. Perhaps lots of them were taken by surprise by the numbers, maybe we shouldnt have been surprised, because cologne fans, 20,000 of them, tried to get tickets when the Europa League fixtures were announced a few weeks ago. They were excited, it is a long time since they played in european competition, and the fans wanted to make the most of it. In and around the streets 12 hours ago, it was a convivial atmosphere, boisterous and loud, lots of singing. That was something that police were taken a bit by surprise by, so many coming to the stadium. And seems that no one wants to see, fans trying to get in. But that was a small minority, it seems. Lessons will be drawn from this, uefa will want to act on it. There we re uefa will want to act on it. There were flares and fireworks inside the stadium last month, the london fire brigade quickly on the scene to make sure that was taken care of, and there was no danger to fans. Lessons to be drawn from this, certainly. We will hear more about that in coming days. Thanks very much for keeping us up to date. The government says priority is to ensure the overall Public Sector pay package was there but affordable. 14 unions have joined together to ask for the increase. A fire involving gas cylinders is causing major disruption to trains between Milton Keynes and london euston. The fire, which took place at a timber yard in harrow, means there will be a reduced service on the west coast main line. Services will be affected throughout the day, and we will keep you up to date. Every Childhood Vaccination could be delivered with a single jab, after a breakthrough by us scientists. Theyve developed a small capsule that can store vaccines in the body, which are then released over a number of weeks. Researchers say that reducing the number of injections would benefit children around the world, especially those in developing nations. Shes one of the most loved stars of british stage and screen but Damejudi Dench has never been known for her ability to rap. Until now. Smashed it. A big round of applause there. Damejudi was given a masterclass by the grime artist Lethal Bizzle before they performed a special version of his track, pow. The pair have bonded over the word dench, which Lethal Bizzle has been using to mean good for several years. That was the reason it happened in the first place, but she carried it off, didnt she . She was brilliant we know what bench means now. Have you used that word before . Not routinely. You surprise me. 0r or the weather and sport coming up. It has spent 20 years in space but it will be incinerated in less than two minutes. This afternoon Nasas Cassini probe will flame apart in the thick atmosphere of saturn as it dives towards the planets surface. One of the most Daring Missions in nasas history it has taken us closer than ever to some of the Solar Systems great mysteries. Lets have a quick look at its mission, and some of its discoveries. Take a look at its journey. Lift off of the cassini spacecraft to saturn. Professor tim 0brien is a professor of astrophysics at manchester university. Enjoying the space music. You were saying yourself, you forgot it was that long since it blasted off. Absolutely. It seems like it has been there for ever, since 2004. Take us through the sequence, we have a specific time when it will cease to exist. That is right. Just before 1pm, we expect to get the last signals from cassini as it plunges into the outer atmosphere of saturn. It is on its way there now. The signals take about an hour to reach us. The signals take just over an hour, but we will receive them this lunchtime. And what data is it sending back . So the spacecraft is running out of fuel and there was a question over what to do with it. There are couple of considerations, whether you could put it into some sort of orbit was safe and stable where it could stay there for millions of years and just leave it there. One of the risks was that it might crash into one of the moons of saturn which turns out to have been very interesting in terms of whether there might be life there. The other factor was that by putting it onto this path, you were able to get very close to saturn. You could go between the rings of saturn and the planet itself and produce unique data as you go close to the planet. But it would never have survived that if you had gone back close. We have said a number of times that it has run out of fuel. So it had 20 yea rs has run out of fuel. So it had 20 years worth of fuel . In fact, it has gone on forfar longer years worth of fuel . In fact, it has gone on for far longer than originally planned. That is often the case with these space missions. They are given more resources than we think they need. It has Nuclear Radioactive isotopes that provide heat and keep the electronics warm. There is a range of things you can use with these space craft. The data this has provided back has been spectacular. The pictures we have been getting from saturn have been unique. Those rings are some of the most beautiful things you could ever see. Have you seen the rings of saturn through a telescope . It is a spectacular thing to see. And to send a spacecraft to look at them 20 times wider than the earth, those rings, but in parts only ten metres wide. 20 times wider than the diameter of the earth . But in parts, only ten metres wide. So if you had shrunk saturn down to the size of a basketball, those rings would be far less tha n basketball, those rings would be far less than the width of a human hair. They are incredibly thin lumps of ice. You have spoken about the images that came back. There is a thing about a pale blue spot. Can you explain . Yeah, this picture was taken when cassini went on the far side of saturn. Saturn itself was blocking the sun, so the whole of the rings of saturn are backlit in this picture, so you can see how useful they look. But the dots below the rings is the planet earth, seen from a distance of billions of kilometres. We send these space craft out so far, and when they look back at us, the fact that you can see that we are so tiny, we are just this speck in the vastness of space. It reminds us where we are in space and it reminds us to look after. Were all in it together on this planet. We are on Spaceship Earth and it reminds us that we have to look after this little speck. Is anything else on its way in that direction or was it a one off . Anything else on its way in that direction or was it a oneoff . Well, one of its great achievements was enceladus, finding the subsurface ocean on enceladus which has similar conditions to what we have at the base of our vision, warm water, these hydrothermal vents. Maybe primitive life has evolved in the ocean, so we definitely want to go back to study that. But missions like this take decades to plan. When you say life, what life . Primitive, microbial life, almost certainly, largely because there isnt enough energy to evolve something more complicated. But to find any evidence of life would be remarkable. Fascinating. Someone else who loves looking at those space images is matt. Yes, i look at subtler imagery every day, of course, in the weather centre. Satellite imagery. But it has been raining in ceredigion all morning. But for many, it has been a sunny start to the day. Warming up a bit. There are showers linked to the wet weather in wales. The wet across western parts of wales into the middle part of the morning. Bryan barnett conditions developing across much of Northern England. Not a bad start for southern scotland. Elsewhere, that zone of thicker cloud stretches from wales towards lincolnshire. For most of us, shower clouds will bubble up. A good deal of sunshine between those shower clouds and temperatures lower than yesterday. So out in the sun, it will still feel cool this afternoon. To get us through this evening, the showers will continue for a time before gradually starting to fade away for most. Saturday morning starts much like this morning with some sunshine. Noticeable chill in the air with low pressure still close by, we will see those shower clouds popped up again. Some of the wet spots could be down in eastern counties of england. And later, a scattering of showers in the afternoon, sunshine in between. Feeling a bit chilly in that sunshine, but through saturday night into sunday morning, a bit of a frost. Sunday looks dry for many of you. Now, here are some words you may or may not have heard of. Merry go sorry. Ear rent. Sillytonians . I am merry go sorry. Ear rent. Sillytonians . Iam not merry go sorry. Ear rent. Sillytonians . I am not sure if im saying this right. And betrump. If you havent heard or used some of those words, thats because theyre on a list of 30 which have fallen out of common usage. Theyve been identified by researchers who scoured old texts in search of forgotten phrases which still have relevance today. We went out with a few of them to see if people had the foggiest clue about what they were saying. Bed of slugs . Somebody who doesnt like to get up . Is it something to do with gardening . Pig farmer . Somebody with a funny nose . Its not do with president trump, is it, and getting rid of him . That sounds like a rude word get rid of donald trump . Remedy for a bad doctor . Somebody who goes to the doctors and self diagnoses . I dont know rob drummond is a linguistics researcher from manchester metropolitan university. Hejoins us now. Let me go through some of them. Snout fair means being fair faced. Sillytonians are silly people. Merry go sorry is a mixture ofjoy and sorrow and ear rent is the cost of listening to trivial talk. We sometimes feel like that. Some of those words are actually pretty obvious. Merry go sorry is obvious. Some are more convoluted. Some, like quacksalver, we still use quackis some, like quacksalver, we still use quack is a false doctor, that kind of idea. A quacksalver is a person who dishonestly claims knowledge of ora who dishonestly claims knowledge of or a skill in medicine. Why would they be so relevant today . The idea is that we still have the same things that need describing, but words fall in and out of fashion over time. These words are almost all obsolete now. Some still hang around, but they are all obsolete, soi around, but they are all obsolete, so i wonder if they will come back if they refer to something that is releva nt if they refer to something that is relevant now. We were looking at judi dench rapping earlier. And dench has been used as a word to mean good. I think young people love new words and new language. I can imagine some of these words coming back. They do, and that happens within london slang. You get a lot of people saying things like oh, my days, which is a real traditional, antiquated thing that an older person would say, but they say it almost ironically. That is how a lot of words come back. It is unlikely that these will come back into common usage, but it only takes one or two people to pick them up, someone with a bit of a profile. If you two started using these words, thatis you two started using these words, that is how they end up back in dictionaries, once they are used by a group of people over time. The word dench, do you use it . No, i dont. Its a generational and social thing. And that is how it should be. There are certain words that almost belong to different groups of society. It is embarrassing to say some things. Did you figure out what betrumped meant . To deceive. Thank you very much time to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello once again, another day where we are looking for subtle variations on the theme of sunny spells and showers. It is on the cool side, a fraction cooler than we have seen it of late. It started that way across many parts, and some variations on the theme already to be had across wales and the south west, showers ganging up. Another feature, persistent rain if the truth be known across eastern counties. This is how it is mid afternoon. Intensity about the showers through wales and the southwest again. An area of cloud and rain getting away from the wash into norfolk and suffolk. You get a better chance of sunshine, some intensity about showers in Northern Ireland, and in the north and east of scotland. In the north and east of scotland. In the south west, it is protected by high ground from northerly wind. You could see few showers. It doesnt do much for the temperatures given the northerly breeze. 0vernight, more features running down in the flow, working south. Another coup will start to the new day on saturday. Here is the variation i am looking for, we are going to push a bulge in the low pressure to ramp up the cloud and rain across scotland and Northern Ireland for a time. Elsewhere, showers aplenty. If you step out on saturday, you will need some sort of waterproof, that is for sure. As the showers fade away, it will be another chilly night. Not so much in towns and cities, but certainly in the countryside, there could be a touch of frost about proceedings. 0n could be a touch of frost about proceedings. On sunday, there should be, on current plans, few were showers about, somewhat dry conditions for scotland and Northern Ireland, certainly, on sunday. The weekend, showers easing in spots, with sunshine as well, but the nights will be decidedly chilly. This is business live from bbc news with Jamie Robertson and rachel horne.
