Britney Spears’ controversial conservatorship is set to be examined in a new documentary from BBC2.
Britney (w/t) will see BAFTA-winning journalist Mobeen Azhar seek to “uncover the truth” behind the conservatorship put in place 13 years ago.
Under the conservatorship — a U.S. legal arrangement in which a guardian is appointed by a judge to manage the financial affairs and/or daily life of another person due to physical or mental limitation or old age — Spears (pictured) has not had total control of her finances or her career since 2008.
Azharn will journey from Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana to Los Angeles, delving into the pop icon’s fan base.
