Matt Berry's alter-ego is back after six years – and on a new channel
The BBC has confirmed that it has picked up a new series of Toast Of London – six years after it last aired on Channel 4.
As co-creator Arthur Mathews originally revealed at the Chortle Comedy Book Festival in November, the new series will revolve around Matt Berry’s actor attempting to make it in Hollywood.
The six-part series is provisionally titled Toast of Tinseltown and will air on BBC One.
Berry said: ‘I couldn't be more thrilled to not only be working with Arthur and the rest of the Toast family again, but to also be taking the show to the BBC which I know Toast himself would very much approve.’
