Bay du Nord ownership shakeup announced as BP acquires Cenovus stake in offshore project

Energy giant BP has become the second oil major to depart Alberta's oilsands and focus on the offshore. BP is buying Cenovus's 35 per cent stake in the undeveloped Bay du Nord project, planned for deep waters east of Newfoundland.
