Like everything else, Kung Pao Kosher Comedy has been affected by the pandemic, but that isn't stopping Kung Pao founder Lisa Geduldig from putting on a show. For 28 years, Kung Pao Kosher Comedy has been a San Francisco tradition. The shows are a take-off on the concept of Jews going to Chinese restaurants on Christmas because there isn't anything else for them to do.
In Geduldig's shows, people gather in a Chinese restaurant not only to eat, but to laugh at some rollicking good comedy. Over the years some of the biggest names in comedy, such as Henny Youngman, Shelley Berman, David Brenner and Elayne Boosler have performed at Kung Pao.
