Danielle Willis's collection of poetry and prose
Dogs in Lingerie came out three decades ago. The slim volume, published by Zietgest Press, still receives attention. Willis had previously published one chapbook and has since featured in HBO's
Real Sex, had porcelain fang implants, did porn and pro-dom work, was part of Jennifer Blowdryer's Smut Fest, and modeled for the late Charles Gatewood.
Willis also stripped at the now-closed Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre, toured the world giving readings, and had two sold-out theater shows;
The Methedrine Dollhouse (1989) at The Exit Theater and
Breakfast in the Flesh District at Climate Theatre, directed by Cintra Wilson (1992).
