If youâre not familiar with the term âhelles,â itâs not a misspelled description of what weâve all gone through in 2020. Itâs actually a popular Bavarian-style of pale lager beer, and Bavarian Bierhaus at Opry Mills Mall has contracted East Nashville Beer Works and Memphis-based Wiseacre Beer Co. to collaborate on a special version of helles to help celebrate the coming of the new year.
The size of the cavernous beer hall will help to establish some safer social distancing, and Bavarian Bierhaus will offer group packages for four or eight diners. These will be spread out across time blocks over the course of the day and evening of New Yearâs Eve. Attendees can pick their arrival times from noon to 6 p.m., or 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in order to simplify getting folks seated. Live music will be provided by Karen on the Accordion, LynnMarie & E3 and Wax Dummies / DJ Eddie. The Bierhaus menu includes traditional German classics.
