Several communities in Bauchi State such as Wunti Dada, Gudum Hausawa, Gudum Sayawa, Rafin Makaranta, Turum, and Inkil are presently without potable water, despite being supposed beneficiaries of the N20 billion water project sponsored by the World Bank. The water project was aimed at improving water supply in the Bauchi metropolis and a few adjoining villages — but the story remains the same for many communities in the state capital, the seat of government.
