Bauchi Government Denies Spending Over N5billion On Foodstuffs, Refreshments In 2023, Releases Breakdown

The Bauchi State government has denied a media report that the state spent over N5billion on foodstuff and refreshments which is more than the combined budget for provision of water facilities, education and health services.   SaharaReporters published on March 14, a Wikki Times review of the Bauchi State budget performance documents, showing that the state spent N6.490billion on food, meal subsidies, refreshments and entertainment in 2023.
