Batavia study: Cutting Route 31 from 4 to 3 lanes could reduce crashes but increase wait times

Reducing Batavia Avenue (Route 31) from four lanes to three lanes as it passes through Batavia could reduce crashes by 20% to 50%, according to a feasibility study done for the city. But there is a little catch.
