Bastrop City Council candidate Jimmy Crouch, who is seeking the open Place 4 seat, hopes to use his construction work experience to help guide the city through a period of expansion and growth.
A more than 30-year veteran of the construction industry, both in commercial construction and in his current job as a self-employed consultant and general contractor, Crouch has experience managing large-scale projects.
He said his background managing sizable budgets and keeping projects on track would be a useful asset on the council. He has overseen major construction projects in Bastrop, including most recently as the project manager for the construction of a two-story building at 921 Main St. that will house the Art Institute of Austin in Downtown Bastrop.
