A soldier from Barton tragically took his own life just a month after going to his best friend's funeral.
Damon Hakin and George Ellis, both formerly of 1st Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment, died within weeks of each other.
Damon, from Doncaster, passed away on February 20 while travelling in Australia and George, 24, from Barton died on April 30 – a month after attending his friend’s funeral.
George’s devastated dad Adrian, 59, told The Mirror: "I wouldn’t wish what has happened to my family on my worst enemy.
