As a university president, I would love to see all college-level faculty and staff vaccinated against COVID-19, yesterday. I can readily argue that K-16 teachers should be prioritized, so students of all levels can get back to classrooms. And yet, just as I was beginning to make these arguments, I looked around and realized it wasn’t just about us.
What I saw was a crying need for large-scale vaccination clinics west of Foxboro. Worcester is the second largest city in New England and one of the most diverse in the state, yet had no large-scale site. So, I raised my hand.
