Barbie Turns 62 on National Barbie Day

On March 9, 1959, Barbie debuted at the American International Toy Fair in New York.
And two years later in 1961 she got her boyfriend, Ken.
Over the last 62 years, Barbie has taken on over 150 careers. Some of them being an astronaut, presidential candidate and Olympic athlete.
Barbie was inducted into the toy hall of fame in 1998.
