Miscreants tore some banners with photos of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari early today.
The incident took place near Merung Police Camp in Merung Bazar area, said Mohammad Abdul Aziz, superintendent of Khagrachhari police.
Miscreants tore and cut the banners using blades, our Bandarban correspondent reports, quoting the SP.
"Our team is working to arrest the culprits who did this," the SP added.
Md Rahman Kabir Ratan, joint secretary of Dighinala upazila unit of AL, said they started the work of constructing a Bangabandhu Chattar in the area four years back and marked the place with the banners.
