Baldwin woman arrested for cruelty to animals

BALDWIN, La. â The Baldwin Police Department arrested a Baldwin woman on Sunday for two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals after finding two dead dogs on her property that had been left to starve.
Demis Bowie Romar, 48, of Baldwin was booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail on Feb. 14 before she was released on a $7,500 bond Sunday evening.
KATC Investigates obtained the police report for Romar's arrest, which states that the responding officer found two deceased, emaciated dogs in an outside kennel at Romar's residence.
