The battle lines have been drawn and everyone has to live with their decision. A lifetime of childhood torment isn’t enough to save the bond between Shu Bi and Kai Rhodan. They were treated worse than animals by the Rekka Empire. Despite this, they stood in the face of adversity and made a vow to reform the Rekka Empire. They look for Rakuho for the Rekka Empire but don’t get any respect. Shu accurately predicts where the Rakuro is going to land because of science. One of the Rekka soldiers is about to slash Kai but Shu steps in and takes the blow. After they have acquired recognition from the Empire, Kai slashes his arm in the same place as to reaffirm their promise with blood.
