Recognizing that the current COVID-19 crisis has further isolated vulnerable families and parenthood can be daunting and overwhelming for everyone, United Way of the Greater Seacoast and its Women United leadership group hosted a region-wide Community Baby Shower on Saturday, May 8.
Partnering with Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, Greater Seacoast Community Health and Families First, United Way distributed a one-month supply of diapers, wipes and $75 gift cards to 200 expectant families struggling with the economic impact of the pandemic in Portsmouth and Rochester. Regionwide, United Way provided the gift cards, diapers and wipes to more than 1,000 families in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
