A nonprofit organization that raises funds and partners in support of the Bridger-Teton National Forest has brought on a new executive director.
Scott Kosiba has been named as the successor to Sarah Walker, who helped launch the Friends of the Bridger-Teton two years ago. Kosiba has a science background, holding a PhD in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University, where his research focused on the impact of slash-and-burn agriculture on forest regeneration in the Amazon rainforest. Heâs also a past employee of the Bridger-Teton, where he worked as a wildlife technician and wilderness ranger in the Bridger Wilderness Area.
