B.C. consumers tightening wallets in current tough retail climate

A recent Deloitte survey found consumers planned to reduce spending this holiday season by 11 per cent. Statistics Canada data holds that B.C. retail spending rose 0.9 per cent year over year in September – a month for which the year-over-year inflation rate in the province was 3.3 per cent.
