Eight townships and 15 private hotels have already been sanctioned in Ayodhya, generating private investments of Rs 4,500 crore. The state housing department is reviewing the status of these projects. The largest private township is being developed over 59,000 sqmt. The continuous push from the state and central governments to improve Ayodhya's urban infrastructure has attracted established private players to the city. Hospitality players have also taken land to set up hotels, resorts, and mixed-use projects. The tourist department and development authority have identified properties for homestays.
