In that aid is $100 million carved out for Randolph and three other communities that were especially impacted by COVID-19.
"The funds have been there since May 19 and should be quickly dispersed," said Pressley at a meeting with Randolph town leaders on Thursday. "We are still in a pandemic, we still (have) to get people vaccinated."
Pressley put out a statement on Wednesday with U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey calling for the money to be doled out quickly on the back of news of the Legislature's plan. Pressley said that lack of access and hesitancy are holding people back from getting vaccinated and that those issues take money to deal with.
