Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): Along with the rest of the country, District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) across Nagaland observed National Legal Services Day on November 9 by organising sensitisation programme on legal rights. In Mokokchung, MDLSA organised a programme at District Bar Room with the panel lawyers and para-legal volunteers from Fazl Ali College Legal Cell and Mokokchung Law College along with Ungma Village Legal Cell and front office PLV and members from E-court and Bar Association. Bendangsenla, member from Legal metrology and Consumer Redressal Forum and resource person, spoke on Consumer Act and encouraged the gathering to be aware of the clauses of the act. In Wokha, panel lawyers and para-legal volunteers have organised programmes at various levels. Legal awareness programmes were organised at Government High School in Longsa village, Green Valley School, Government Higher Secondary School in Wozhuro sub-division and for prisoners at district Jail. In Phek, a legal awareness campaign was conducted by distributing legal pamphlets on Lok Adalat and Consumer Protection Act 1986 to the public of Phek town.
