‘Saved By the Bell’s’ Dustin Diamond, aka ‘Screech,’ dead at 44

The actor who played one of TV’s most beloved nerds has reportedly died. Both USA Today and TMZ report Dustin Diamond, who played “Screech” on the late 80s and early 90s sitcom, passed away this morning.
The publications say a representative for Diamond said his condition had declined fast since last week, and he was taken off of breathing machines in an attempt to get him to hospice care. Diamond’s girlfriend was with him when he died, according to TMZ.
