PRICE — Authorities safely rescued 13 puppies early Friday morning after the cargo van they were being transported in crashed and rolled over on U.S. Highway 6.
The crash took place about 2 a.m. on Highway 6 just west of Price, according to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Bret Bennett.
Two people were transporting about 13 puppies from Texas to Oregon in a cargo van, Bennett said. Investigators believe the woman driving may have been fatigued when the van went through a fence and off the road for about 200 feet, he added.
The van then went up an embankment and rolled onto its side, Bennett said.
