EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. â Students at Bell Top Elementary School are pretty lucky. They have access to learning opportunities that not a lot of other schools have - for example, they get to be sugar maple farmers in the spring and apple cider makers in the fall.
In addition to these seasonal activities, they've also got something that benefits the student body as a whole every day that school is in session.
Meet Auggie, the Bell Top Elementary School therapy dog.

Auggie has been at Bell Top for about two years now. School counselor Jaime Gibbs had the idea for a schoolwide therapy dog on her first day on the job, back in 2018.
