Auburn shooting: Hamzy family home targeted in suspected gangland shooting

The home targeted has long been linked to Hamzy family members, including Ibrahim Hamzy, who is subject to a sweeping order curtailing his activities amid an escalating feud with the Alameddines. Another Hamzy relative was seriously wounded in a shooting at the address in 2013.
After arriving at the address on Auburn Rd on Monday night, police found a number of bullet holes in the front of the building. Residents were inside but no one in the complex was injured, according to police.

NSW Police Deputy Commissioner David Hudson said the incident was a symptom of the “disease” of the illicit drug trade, which has been disrupted by COVID-19.
