DeRidder Mayor Misty Clanton on Thursday, May 6, proclaimed May 6-12 as “National Nurses Week” in the City of DeRidder.
The Mayor was joined by nurses with Beauregard Health System in DeRidder and Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital at Fort Polk for the reading of the proclamation at DeRidder City Hall.
National Nurses Week is recognized annually as a way to honor the nation’s indispensable nurses and their tireless commitment to the health and welfare of their communities.
Nurses spend their careers treating and comforting the sick, welcoming new lives into our world and caring for people at the end of their lives.
