Ten days ago Sunderland’s John Zewski sent me a link to a site called A10Talk.com, which as the name implies is geared for fans who follow the Atlantic 10 Conference.
“Have you seen this?” he texted.
I looked at the lead story and replied, “Well, whattya know!”
“A-10 To Bring Back Football” it proclaimed, but the real shock was that UMass was joining the resurrection. “Massachusetts will be dropping down from the FBS to join the A-10, with the administration citing the fact that UMass has fully accepted its new identity as a hockey school.”
