Assam govt to amend VDO Act to make Village Defence Parties more professional

Assam VDO (Amended) Act is all set to be tabled in the monsoon session of the state assembly to make Village Defence Party (VDP) more professional, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
