As violence in York, Pa., grows, Mayor Helfrich says he has a plan

York Mayor Michael Helfrich and top law enforcement leaders stood on the steps of the city police department Thursday morning to discuss the city's most recent streak of shootings and overall violence and how they hope to tackle the issue.
Seven people have been killed in York so far this year. Since May 1, about 15 have been shot. 
Two of most recent shootings occurred within two days of each other.
"Gun possession appears to be up with the total of firearm incidents in the first half of 2021 nearly reaching the number of incidents for the entire year of 2018," Helfrich said.
