As union leaders try to boost morale, anxiety, sleeplessness grip protesters

Regular announcements were made for volunteers to come to the stage and shout slogans to keep the morale of the protesters high. There were repeated announcements asking them to be wary of “traitors among them”, and increase the vigil at night.

TIKRI: Anxiety, anger and suspicion have gripped protesters at Gadari Gulab Kaur Nagar at the Tikri border on Thursday, following the violence on Tuesday.
Leaders, many of whom are charged in FIRs for inciting violence and even attempt to murder, walked a tightrope between boosting the morale of protesters, while at the same time asking them to stay disciplined and not break any law.
