The board of managers at Southside Independent School District will have two new members, chosen by Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath.
Morath sent a letter to the district on Monday announcing his selection of Mary Silva and Brenda Olivarez to join the board as elected trustees. Additionally, Jesse Hernandez, who was originally appointed to the board as a manager in 2018, will stay as a trustee.
