As need continues to surge, Schaumburg Township completes food pantry expansion
Schaumburg Township has completed a three-month, $300,000 expansion and renovation of its food pantry. The pantry now measures 4,852 square feet, compared to 150 square feet before the expansion.

With its recently completed expansion, Schaumburg Township's food pantry has grown from 150 square feet to 4,852 square feet. "We expect to be helping residents with the COVID fallout for years to come," township Supervisor Tim Heneghan said.

The number of people visiting the Schaumburg Township food pantry nearly doubled in 2020 because of financial hardships created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
