Thirty-five local artists have contributed their talents by submitting works of art to create the Celebrating Black Lives: Community Quilt Project.
Organized by the Thames Art Gallery, the quilt is on display throughout Black History Month in the ARTspace’s Window Gallery at 165 A1/2 King St. in downtown Chatham.

Art gallery curator Phil Vanderwall said 45 pieces of art were submitted by 35 local artists.
“We just gave people the theme, which is celebrating Black lives, and let people run with that whichever way they wanted to,” he said.
