But I want o use the term metaphorically here to suggest how our distinctively Western vowelized phonetic alphabetic literacy may be preventing us from critically examining the work of Walter J. Ong, Eric A. Havelock, Jack Goody, and now Joseph Henrich in his 2020 book.
