Volunteer Maddy Lucas, of Pullman, is followed by two goats as she spreads a seed mixture of Palouse native plants including Idaho fescue, blue bunch wheat grass and sunflowers. “I’m really into restoring the native Palouse prairie. I like to say that I’m a botanist by hobby,” Lucas said.
