The Mountaineer Holiday Challenge has now raised $21,750 to help house homeless families through a program that will help them be self-sustaining in two years.
The goal of this yearâs reader challenge is to raise $50,000 for the EACH Initiative and increase the number of homes where families can be housed from five to 10.
There are three separate âchallengesâ included within this campaign.
A âconcerned grandmotherâ started a challenge off with $800, an amount both she and her husband contributed separately out of thankfulness that her grandchildren had safe places to live.
With todayâs contribution, that particular challenge has raised $1,300 so far.
