Selling a house, selling a dream

A Jackson real estate agent is selling a house out in the Dairy subdivision, but he thinks it’s the image and the dream that have made the sale.
It’s about the life you can lead there, says Latham Jenkins, an associate broker at Live Water Properties, and that’s been his focus.
The strategy found some success. The house and the surrounding 65 acres were voted by Wall Street Journal readers as third in the newspaper’s “House of the Year” contest.
“I spent a lot of time thinking about ‘what is the story of the property?’” Jenkins said last week. “And I decided it was really about the setting, not so much the log home.”
