Arrest made in threat against Winfield High School
Police in Winfield said Thursday a juvenile has been arrested for a telephone threat that was made against the high school.
The Winfield Police Department said in a press release that the high school received a phone call around 9:30 Wednesday night and a threat was made. Police were notified and on Thursday a local business reported a phone threat. Both calls were made from the same number and it was determined that the call had been made from outside the United States.
A juvenile boy was identified as a person of interest. He was interviewed and then arrested for his involvement in the threat. Police said there is no threat to the community and no further details will be released.
