Wicked Local
Kevin Feeley, a long-time member of Arlington's Board of Assessors who was re-elected to the board in April, died on June 24 at age 86.
Feeley was a life-long resident whose role in local government lasted more than 50 years. He was first elected to the Select Board in 1964, at 29 years old and served until 1970. Feeley was also a member of the Arlington Parks and Recreations Commission and was a long-time Town Meeting member.
Feeley is probably best known locally for his 35 years on the Arlington Board of Assessors, a position he held throughout many different changes in real estate in Arlington, including the recent boom that has seen home valuations skyrocket.
